Back in the summer ranger Chris helped young butterfly enthusiast Rebecca Bailey with what species can be found around the park. She took part in the Butterfly Conservation Big Butterfly Count! Let’s hope she spotted lots this summer!!

Coming soon to Kingsbury Water Park

Wonderful place with wonderful views along the country side. We are so lucky we live nearby and with my business as dog sitting and carer it is a wonderful place for our 4 legged friends to enjoy and run around (as for previous coment we do pick up any mess our wonderful 4 legged friends might do)

We had heard a lot of good reports about Hartshill so decided to visit. The young lady at the tea kiosk was very helpful & friendly. The walk that we chose was lovely & well sign posted, really looking forward to coming back to do others.

We go regularly with our dog and this year have also taken our young Grandson who loves it as much as we do.Exploring the woods and collecting cones and numerous sticks..The bluebells are lovely.Only £2 to park.Cafe is open weekends and holidays I think.Only downside is that after clearing up after your dog in the woods there are no bins to place the bag so have to carry bags all the way back to near the park..A great wooded area for families.A lovely children's park near the car park also.

Views are fantastic, and the wooded walks lovely. I have seen Muntjac deer early in the morning. Plenty of Tawny Owls late at night. Bluebells are lovely in the Spring. Can be combined with a nice canalside walk, if you choose to go through the Hayes and into St. Lawrence's Wood, and over the meadows to Quarry Lane bridge.

User

Really beautiful park filled with Bluebells and it was clean too which is lovely. Found this park by mistake to be honest and was truly a lucky find People and dogs in park were also friendly and nice .

User

Really beautiful bluebells. Fab walk & park for kids & had a lovely walk. Shame coffee/ice cream kiosk was shut by 3.30 on bank holiday Monday.

User

Love taking the family here for a good ramble and finish off with a hot drink from the lovely lady at the little shop.

User

Love coming to Hartshill Hayes early in the mornings to let my 8mth old springer have a good run around, lovely views and very well kept.

User

Great park to walk around in peace and quiet. Took our two noisy monkeys with us and they enjoyed the walk and the play area. Plenty of places to sit dotted around to give the little ones a rest. Only £2 to park and you could spend a good few hours walking around to explore it all.

User

Beautiful woodland walks, stunning when the bluebells are out. Be warned that, if you don't follow a marked route, your short walk can turn into a long hike, as we discovered recently! Paths split and main route not always clear. Could do with a few more route signs for those without a map. Walks are not flat so take advice from the office if you have a pushchair or wheelchair. Can be a bit muddy in places but rarely bad. A lot of tree management going on when we last went. Nice children's play area near car park. There is an open hillside with good views if you just want a good picnic spot. Loos by car park when open. Reasonable pay and display parking. A beautiful spot. Love it there.

User

Beautiful place. We love to come here with the kids no matter what the weather is like. Kids love to go on a 'bear hunt' through the woods

User

A lovely trip for all ages no matter what you want to do. Been so many times and lots of wildlife to see.

User

A lovely place for kids, dogs and adults. Plenty of places to walk and great views. We got a little lost on the paths but luckily we had a map and used the markers to work out where we were.

User

Took the grandchildren to do some 'den building' they had a great time, lovely place for them to run around and some great views

User

Safe and healthy way to spend a Sunday morning or afternoon, ambling in the woods walking the dog , great views of surrounding country side then have a drink from the nice ladies who are pleased to serve you

User

Nothing special. park area had dog poop in. planned a walk along one off the routes not that well marked out so ended up back at the park

User

It us to be a lovely walking round there with the dogs but it's spoilt now by mountain bikers racing round a course they've made by spray painting arrows on the trees it won't be long before somebody's seriously injured or worse, it's time they clamped down on it.

User

I used to go all the time with my eldest and was always lovely. Been today with a pushchair which was the worst decision ever. Paths all overgrown with 10ft high bushes and stinging nettles, which doesnt look like its seen a gardener for years. Paths not signposted well which ended with us going up a high rocky hill which we thought we would get stuck or even worse and to top it all off, there was a massive fly infestation all over the park. Unless its taken care of by a gardener and the paths are easily visible and better signposted, i wont b back.

My daughter has been walking her dogs there this afternoon and one was attacked by a German Shepherd dog. He came back for a second go and nearly had my daughter ( who is an adult). . Claims he has only had it 3 months. It is a danger to all. It could have been a child. The police were called but it seems if it had bitten her then they would have done some thing. So beware, if seen keep your dogs and kids close to you.
