The food was fantastic, the serving dishes are a nice twist! New menu has the old faves on it as well as some new and fresh ideas....staff wee very pleasant and courteous. Also interested in feedback and comments. Really pleasant dining experience for a quick and easy girls lunch. See you again soon Mouse staff!!!
Haven’t been here for years was pleasantly surprised decor lovely and so was the food x
Had a brilliant evening this weekend here. The refurb has definitely changed the place and made a huge difference. The food is great and the staff are just so welcoming. Love it!
Great food and great service. Service with a smile every time. Also best Sunday lunch around bar none
Great food ,great service.Refurbishment fresh and modern, just what the place needed .Will definitely return.
Food was lovely and the service was excellent.👍👍👍👍👍
Brand new refurb, play area gone, reverted back to a great pub with great food. All the locals are very happy to have a good pub to go for a drink. We had a meal on the first night of reopening, even though it was busy the service was fantastic, the meals were perfect, and the atmosphere was great, we couldn't have faulted anything. The new layout and decor is absolutely lovely! I would highly recommend the Harvest Mouse, especially to those who haven't been for a while....you'll be pleasantly surprised
Absolute brilliant venue for the Hays Travel Heswall Charity Night. Bar staff are amazing. Prices are great! Fantastic service. Everyone is so friendly top gaff!
Food was lovely but get rid of the bowls & paper my burger came in. I am one of them strange people who eat my burger with a knife and fork had paper in my burger whilst eating it out a bowl .... Was lovely like lol
Visited for the first time Bank Holiday and ordered 2 chicken salads and 2 soft drinks. Total was over £26.00. 2 salad bowls no meat or fish charged at £16.00! Chicken was another £2.50 each. I know people have to make a living but definitely overpriced.
Ordered steak pie which came with side of gravy in a small boat that was sent back as cold.also lemon meringue pie had very thin layer of lemon and a soggy bottom!chips nice tho and staff very friendly efficient and welcoming.
Meal was lovely but the disabled and children's area was far too small, we had grandad in a wheelchair which could only fit on a small round table for 2 shoved in between the wall and a big round beam, the only other option to sit was a long bench table which is far too high for him to stay in his wheelchair!! There was 4 of us so we had to squeeze onto 2 tiny round tables!!
We went to sit in a nice area to the left by a fruit machine but was told it's over 18s only, there were 4 adults and a 6 month old baby asleep in his pram!! Apart from that it was nice
I went on 4th Aug 18. This was a family event as it was my grandsons 2nd birthday. Unfortunately mine and my husband's meal was not very nice. I had hunters chicken but it was well over cooked t,ough and look warm. Hubby had meat pie which was ok except the pastry was rock hard. Think they had been left standing for a while. We were in a party of 9 adults so I didn't want to cause a scene by complaining so I eat what I could. Won't be rushing back soon.
Enjoyed tea there last night however since the refurb I've noticed there isn't a lot of big tables, my 82 year old grandparents had to struggle up the stairs to sit down but there was a big table occupied by 1 person. Also upstairs there's a table right in front of the TV which is what we were on and people were complaining to us they couldn't see every time we stood up to go the bar or order food. Just think things could be thought out better.
The food however was absolutely fabulous and we all enjoyed it.
We've come here nearly every year for birthdays and will continue to, but next time ring up and ask for a downstairs table to be reserved.
Enjoyed food and staff were excellent, but I don't like dogs being in the pub, and not far away from where I was eating.
Food was ok, refurb looks great, but not wheelchair friendly at all, children are not in the areas with bare floors but that was were all the tables were, that could accommodate a wheelchair we had a 5 month old baby asleep in his pram but was not allowed to sit here. We were crammed onto 2 small round tables that were really not suitable, as my dad is wheelchair bound we had no choice. We won't be going back
Came yesterday 05/01/17 with my partner and children. Food came pretty quick only the food was embarrassing to be honest. The salad or lack of it on the plate was ridiculous. My hunters chicken was dry and the barbecue sauce was sloppy not done properly. My partners burger came without the bacon he had paid extra for. Kids didn't eat there burgers they said they weren't nice. We didn't complain with being hungry and didn't have time to wait for fresh meals
Well I have been coming here for a couple of years always been nice , well after tonight i certainly won't be coming back , chicken breast was Luke warm , kids meals came out wrong when I said about this a member of staff rolled there eyes at me , kids puddings came out ridiculous it was not a sundae at all I won't be returning
