Harvester

Went to this harvester this morning on way to Bromsgrove spa hotel. Very friendly staff, lady asked if we had been before, (we hadn't), then told us about the choice of breakfasts available. Explained about the breakfast bar, juices etc...

When our cooked breakfast came out it was hot and very tasty. We also helped ourselves to toast, hot drinks, juices etc. There is a variety of items on the breakfast bar including cereals, fruit, yogurt and pancakes amongst others. Usually go to another well known chain for breakfast with friends but will be changing now. A very nice start to what turned out to be a lovely day. Thank you very much x

We went to the harvester yesterday for lunch. We had lovely waitresses, very polite and attentive. The salad bar was fresh and well stocked. The bread rolls soft and yummy. Lots of interesting croutons and things to sprinkle or pour on salad. We chose from the £7.49 menu a beef burger meal which hubby up graded to sage and onion chips. He said the chips were lovely and the burger one of the best he had tasted in a long while. I had a beetroot burger and upgraded to sweet potato chips. The burger was moist and tasty and have never found one on a menu before. Well done. As a non meat eater it was so much nicer than the standard over spiced bean burgers offered. I was a bit naughty and had a desert very yummy coconut rice pudding.

After reading some of the terrible reviews we felt like we were in a totally different place. We have to speak as we find. We totally enjoyed our meal, the surroundings and pleasant staff. We will be back.

Food tasted so fresh, lovely friendly staff. Fast service. I highly recommend it. �

It was a quiet time of day(3.30 pm) salad was all fresh, steak perfectly cooked, ribs were delicious. Staff were friendly , helpful and polite. I like the fact that they do 2 types of children’s meal, small servings with a dessert & drink for under 7 and a lager serving of mains for the older child, much better for my grandchildren .

Its gone right down i used to love going here in bromsgrove but for the price and everything we have made up our minds after being here so many times enough is enough when its getting worst and others are getting better shame as loved the food here

Had the festive menu and was pleasantly surprised. It was hot and all edible. My only gripe is the plates and bowls we all dirty by the salad bar. I would recommend a new dishwasher! As every plate was left with a film on it.

The bar area was cosy with a log fire and the staff looked after us best they could on a busy saturday evening.

When we walked in we were asked if we wanted Breakfast or Lunxh when we said Breakfast we were told breakfast had finished and we would have to wait half an hour for lunch sitting so we waited in the bar. They seemed very short staffed and there were no jacket pots for an hour Staff were very nice but we didn't have the best experience to be honest

Well we at to wait for half hour for a table then we eventually got a table we waited about 15 mins for a waitress to cum to the table to take our order then we ordered the meals we asked for a drink as well ! We waited 20mins for our food still no drink came out so we asked the waitress where it was the next thing she bought the drink to us ! We got our meals but my partners food was cold and my steak wasnt done right so we had it taken bk to have fresh meals and it came out better the 2nd time we had £11 taken off the bill so i dont know if we will go bk to there again

Soggy salad on the salad bar, bread rolls burnt and rock hard. Food was cold, wrong food brought out and so sent back which was then brought out with the coleslaw pot piping hot. Corn on the cob with half of it missing. Burnt tomato covered by green salad. Chips on the plate and gravy which should have been jacket potato and vegetables. Normal chips when sweet potato chips were requested. Lack of soft drinks which we were told was due to a mix up when ordering. Not good and would not recommend or return there.

Not great, waitress seemed to be the only person working as every time the kitchen door opened you could see the kitchen staff messing about. Food took ages to come. No coffee as machine had been switched off. Overpriced for what we got.

Like Harvesters. Coleshill superb, Solihull much the same. Bromsgrove food was ok, but probably need more staff as it all seemed a bit hap hazard with service. No drinks until the main course was delivered. The staff although appeared friendly enough didn't get the usual and common 'is the food ok?' And no chance of catching anyone's eye for the bill. Felt sorry for the guy who tried to be organising things as he was backwards and forwards like a whirlwind.

I have not been here for some time , then I remembered why , hard were hard , had to wait for bread rolls , salad bar was very messy with ,the manager in a collar n trousers I guess and a server had there backsides perched on the salad bar , kitchen staff with earpieces in when topping salad bar up

Congratulations to the Harvester (Forest) � you've just been my first ever walk out. Well done for expecting people to eat breakfast when there's nothing out to eat. Dirty mugs, dirty plates, no juice cups and seeing my breakfast sat on the window for over 5 minutes, I will not be eating that thank you very much. Felt sorry for the 1 member of staff that was rushed under his feet. Don't know what the others were playing at. �

went tonight and it was awful found what look3d like a finger nail in my friends food so no one could then eat there meal. Everyone was put off will not be going again..!!

Visited here earlier today, I ordered the coconut chicken curry and my partner had a burger. When the meals came out my chicken was stone cold when I bit into a piece and the rest of the food on my plate was cold also. When I sent it back to the kitchen they had clearly just microwaved it as when it was returned the whole plate was piping hot and the food was chewy. When my partner took a bite out of his burger he noticed it was raw in the middle so he sent it back but refused to eat anything else from here.



The waitress was very apologetic however we shall not be returning and hope we don’t fall ill.

This place has to be by far the worst place I have eaten!!



Service WAS terrible, salad bar bowls and plates were dirty! It took 2 hours for our mains to come out!



Ribs burnt!



And food cold!!



Waitress cried because she was so embrassed!!!



At to top it off the manager PAUL!!!! Did not wish to face is instead he sat in the bar having a good old chat and a laugh !!



Disgusting service!!!! Will never eat here again!!!! Ever!!

My partner and I came here last night and asked for a table for 2. Unusually the restaurant was very quite, I'd say there was about 8 tables taken in the restaurant but there was a 1 hour wait. Our waitress came over, very miserable and rude was not a great start to our evening considering we had just waited over an hour.

Our starter was ok, not great.

Once we had finished our starter we had to wait 20minutes for our plates to be taken away, meaning waiting half an hour for our mains.

We had ordered 2 sirloin steaks, this is usually a perfect choice for me as I do not like a fatty steak. I ordered a medium cooked steak which was just fat and grizzle, I could not eat it, neither could my boyfriend.

My chips were over cooked and my boyfriends mash was hard.

We have never complained in a restaurant but this was disgusting. Our waitress did not do a check back to see if our meal was ok but stood there talking to her colleagues right infront of our table.



I then went to the manager I express my frustration. I explained I would not like to pay for the steaks but I am happy to pay for the starters. We had NO apology, no alternative offered.

I cannot express my anger towards the over all service of this place and also the awful food we was presented.

If ya thinking of booking a meal here......STOP !!!!

Outta 13 people , 2 meals were edible

The rest were utter shite

Well done steak still mooing , black pudding as large as the steak on a mixed grill , no meals warmer than luke warm

Fishless fish portion , uncooked "well done" gammon

Utter shocking !!!!



The manager hasn't even the decency to address us and has sent the assistant

If I had got this amount of bad food served I'd be sorting it personally

Wonder what Harvester will make of this lot on there site

Well pissed off as were all out for a birthday meal
