Went yesterday with my daughter and granddaughter, had the most fabulous day. Lots to do and although it seems a little bit expensive entrance fee, there was so many free things to do one you are in it is real value for money.

User

We visited during the Easter holidays and tbh I was a little worried as there were a lot of awful reviews on here but in my opinion those reviews are way harsh as we had a truly amazing day. Yes it is expensive but no more so than ash end farm and there is way more to do. The magician was fab we were laughing our heads off at him. It’s definitely worth a visit we will without doubt be returning (there were plenty of staff in the soft play too so no idea what all the fuss was about that)

User

We had a lovely morning at Hatton. Indoor play area is great, tractor ride was fun, baby animal tent was nice.

My daughter fell over and cut her hand and knee open, while trying to copy her dad hopping like a rabbit. There was a man that helped us by getting her some sterile wipes and plasters. He looked more like a farmer than staff. But we would just like to say thank you very much xx

User

We had a fantastic day today - absolutely wonderful value for money when booking online I feel for the amount of activities available inclusive in admissions price. My boys are nine and seven and were thoroughly entertained - so much so that we could have easily spent multiple days here and I’m sure they wouldn’t have been bored ! My seven year old is autistic with sensory and visual processing needs/delays and he was in his element . I’d like to thank your staff kindly for their wonderfully considerate attitude and particularly for awarding him his gold medal for treasure hunting even though he was worried about potentially having dropped some gold fleks on his way to present them !

When pricing against other farm type options available we would have easily added another £20 on top of the price we payed today - we will be buying an annual pass

User

I had my doubts as to how good it would be with the weather being rubbish but even tho some of the rides where not open we still had a great time if any thing it gave us more time to appreciate all the animals and talk to the staff about them. We liked how the staff really do care about the animals and know them like friends. The puppet show had the kids very well entertiand and sorry to say we really enjoyed it too. ( we are all children at heart) keep up the good work

User

I had an amazing time today with my family and there was loads of us the staff were friendly especially the lady with the stylish gold framed glasses.

knowing it’s winter and most of the animals weren’t on show (witch is acceptable)what I did see I feel in love with I’m a ginger and I fell in love with ginger curly piglets but I loved the ginger big pig at the end she showed signs of protectiveness at first so I sat there she eventually came over let me pet her then she let me stroke her babies and lay back down I had more fun then the kids amazing day can’t wait to come back

Circus was ok the acrobat was amazing that’s about it sorry xx

User

Had a great day out with my family, booked online the day before so tickets were a little cheaper than 'on the door' prices. It's still a little steep to pay adult price for a 3 year old. Anyway, we had a lovely day- loads to do and see- lots of activities throughout the day. Have been many times with my work and was glad I got to enjoy the sun and fun with my own child. Loved the pony ride option- it seemed cheaper than previous visits. All staff were friendly and helpful.

User

Although the lack of staff at the top of the slides was very worrying safety wise amd wouldve given 3 stars, ive had to up my rating to 4 stars. I have a bowel disease which is a hidden disability and when i was suddenly in desperate need of toilet facilities and there was an extremely long que of school children that had even used the disabled toilet the member of staff i spoke to in a panic was so understanding and helpful and and led me to a facility i could use straight away and even spoke to lady who complained i was jumping the que politely yet firmly without embarrassing me. If i based my review on just this experience with the toilet i would give 5 stars as many places deby access to toilet facilities when they are desperately needed. Unfortunately I cant ignore that it is a place that should be completely safe for children and without a member of staff supervising the top the slides at all times I didn't feel this was the case, infact considering hatton is such a big attraction and isnt cheap I think It was extremely dangerous and irresponsible of the staff monitoring the indoor play area to be so inattentive and unprofessional and they need more training. I wouldnt recommend without warning hatton anymore to friend's or family because of these safety issues which is such a shame as eveything else makes it a loveky day out. I have seen many complaints recently and The indoor play area tends to be how people end their visit so they leave remembering the worst part.

User

In short, a lot of updating and improvements are required to justify the price tag. Staff were friendly enough although you could tell that a few of them didn’t want to be there. The food was terrible from the restaurant and the level of hygiene needs upping significantly. All Things Wild has a far lower price and a lot more activities. Perhaps you should pay them a visit to see where you can improve for yourselves.

User

If you don’t drive then not an ideal place to visit- Hatton train station is about 5-8 minute drive from the place..taxi’s are a myth in the area!- 1.5 hour wait and £15 charge..we walked it in the end as was stranded (40 minute walk half of it without paths so along the grass/country roads with 2 pushchairs wasn’t easy!..the place itself is okay- would be better in summer as it’s all outside except indoor soft play. Food quite expensive, says there’s a funfair but there were only 2 rides..circus show was on (kids enjoyed but not fantastic) entrance staff were lovely, no other staff interaction apart from cafe..some areas don’t have staff overseeing. Barn of animals..would say best to go with a car, in summer time for 2/3 hours max.

User

I have to be honest, my son absolutely loved Hatton Park, as there is so much to do and he loves the soft play centre, however, I feel £16 is very steep for a 2 year old, and maybe some age structured ticket prices, or a family ticket discount would make us more inclined to visit again, as it becomes incredibly expensive to take a family of 5, at £16 each. I also felt that the place could do with a lick of paint etc. The benches were extremely weathered and the entire outdoor furniture/fences looked a little neglected. A spruce up, and a fair price and I’d be giving a 5 star rating.

User

Have been to Hatton a few times and although a lovely place it is very expensive for what it is £15.95 for each child and adult over 2 is ridiculous especially as if you go out of a school holiday it’s £8.95.

Why not offer a family ticket or reduce the price for adults.

Whilst there we did have a nice time the lady on the fair was lovely and kind.

Same the day was slightly spoilt by the tyrant who’s job it was to man the slide in the soft play she really needs to improve her people skills.

Or perhaps move her to the jcb area which was like the Wild West when some kids were left unattended and where vile to the younger child trying to use the jcbs with there parents

User

We to Hatton Country Park on Saturday 17th Feb after viewing it on line, there website promised lots for all the family, we took our two grandchildren 2 & 4 the admission was 13.95 each with the 2 year old going free this included entry to a circus, which we said we did not want. As we walked around it became apparent they had not catered for young children, also the spending didn't stop as some of the other attractions had to be paid for

There were no animals in the outside pens, the fence was broken at the zip wire platform, the tractor which the children wanted to play on was dangerous with the steering wheel broken we went for a meal in the first eaterie we came to only to be told buggies were not allowed, and they had no high chairs, but the next eaterie did however this one did not have a children's menu.

This is yet another retail outlet passing itself off as a country park, we will not be going again

User

I visited today when there was a craft fayre on. The roads leading to Hatton were not exactly clear but we ploughed through. Majority of the shops seem shut which i didnt expect when they advertised on facebook as open. I must admit the "craft fayre" was the worst excuse for a craft fayre i had seen. I understand the weather didnt help but a mention on facebook to say that people had not turned up would have been good. The carft fayre was about 4 traders in a tent and felt like a rabbit in the headlights when we walked in. The crafts there i wouldnt exactly call crafts either. Also i saw the entrance price for the guinea pig village was £7.95 per adult and thought this was extremley expensive for what it is. Just seen a facebook post stating that this price was a special snow price, i hate to think what it is on a normal day. Wont be visiting again.

User

Disappointed

After paying nearly £50 which I didn't mind. I visited in February half term and half of the place was closed for maintenance. This was not stated on there website. We was looking forward to the sheep racing, the gold rush, tractor ride and pony ride, but we couldnt as it wasn't open.

The fair rides where the biggest disappointment as there's 2! Only 2.

The only good part from the day was the circus which we thoroughly enjoyed.

I think there should be more information on what's open and what's not. We had planned to do loads for the day but had to try stretch it out to 3 hours when should of spent all day

The management should address this and update the website thoroughly and update the park as it did look tired and behind with the times

User

Am very disappointed. Visited today with my youngest son and elder daughter and her two babies. Charged full price to enter totalling over £21 plus price for animal food only to find very limited animals to feed and no staff around. The kids were excited to go on the bouncy slide and bouncy castle etc however this area was all locked up and the only staff member I could find said it won't open until it's manned at 12 o'clock however we returned at 12 to find still all locked up with no one in so. I appreciate for health and safety it has to be manned but if your only offering a limited service/experience don't charge full price. It hasn't changed or been modified in the 22 years since I took my daughter as a baby. Rip off. Won't be returning in a hurry for sure

User

Terrible that you have put prices of kids tickets up to nearly £16 each (alongside adults) for half term! It cost us £63 for entry for 2 adults and 2 children.

We live locally and have always visited the farm frequently but we won’t be doing so anymore

User

I have to say that I am disgusted that you feel £15.95 for a child of 2 years old is a fair price!

It is a nice place to go but paying nearly £50 to enter for 2 parents and a child is ridiculous. The parents are only there because of the child in the first place. There was not even a family ticket that offered some sort of discount or granted a free snack/meal. I'm sure you would increase business if your prices were fairer or helped the people you are targeting. When my other child turns 2 I will not be paying for a family of 4 to go there.

User

HATED IT!! To start, having to pay £15 for a 3 year old... ridiculous and ending but paying £76 for 2 adults and 3 kids for a 45min trip. Animals looked depressed (as an equine groom and studied animal at college and knowing the weather has been really dry) there was nothing to entertain them or no hay for them to eat in the field. The staff had no idea what they were doing and wasn’t helpful in anyway.

After our 45 min walk around the not very exciting park, we thought we would try the food and get a drink. Nothing telling us where to get drinks, ordered a slushy and the person walked away so they didn’t have to do it which Was so rude!! Not knowing what to do if we had to get our food, or be served. Also no asking if any of us were vegetarians or what meat was on the carvery menu.

After a wasteful £140 and hoping of a day out which was only an hour. Not impressed at all...

( we are all children at heart) keep up the good work

Terrible that you have put prices of kids tickets up to nearly £16 each (alongside adults) for half term! It cost us £63 for entry for 2 adults and 2 children.

We live locally and have always visited the farm frequently but we won’t be doing so anymore
