Hello All, you may have noticed that the A4177 main road from Warwick towards Birmingham is subject to 'roadwork'. The diversion to take is turn left at the traffic lights (signposted for Warwick parkway). Follow that road for a short distance. Turn right into Church Lane and then right into Ugly Bridge Road. That brings you back to the A4177 (by the petrol station) Left onto the main A4177 and you will know where you are. The cafe is open every day except Xmas Eve and Xmas day ! All at the Top Lock cafe hope that the roadworks do not stop you popping into visit........see you soon.

Stunning feat of engineering. Accessible by road or train, if your bringing kids there is a kids pack you can download, and well worth a visit. We did it as part of a canal walk, train to Hatton then walked to Warwick and caught train back. Large picnic area, coffee shop with toilets and a solid path. Take a venture past the picnic area to see the boats.

Staying at the Old Lockkeepers Cottage and had a walk up to the pub. Just enough to work up an appetite. A lovely place.

User

Lovely place to visit great walk head downwards first and then head back up to the quaint tea shop

Not many more locks after the teashop but enjoyable sunday afternoon x

Lovely day out at Hatton locks, brunch first at the lovely cafe on the lock then a stroll along the canal. My young boy enjoyed watching the barges go through the locks. Finished off with a refreshing drink at The Hatton Arms

User

Lovely cafe there with friendly staff, good facilities for walkers as well as boats 😀

Loved the walk along the locks. We crossed the road and over a field into Hatton Village. Nice little shopping place and loads for the kids to do.

Tried the Hatton arms. Bit disappointing. Menu is trying to be upper class but fails. Service was very slow. Maybe it would have been better to go in the evening rather than just lunch.

The cafe in the canal side more than makes up for it and there's loads of space for picnics.

Definitely be back.

Living on our boat we have done the Hatton Locks twice this year. This morning we had a fantastic cooked breakfast in the Café, before descending the locks to return to the Saltisford Arm at the bottom of the flight. It is a beautiful flight of locks with wonderful views.

I visit about twice each week through out the year. A lovely place next to the Grand Union with lots of history.

Good food on offer with a selection of teas and coffees. The owners and their staff are all very friendly and are always ready to have a chat and a laugh with the customers.

Highly recommended.

Cool place to hang about for a few hours. After climbing the 21 locks of the flight we stopped for a Ice cream at the quaint tea shop at the top. Looks like a nice pub further uo the hill but didnt get a chance to check it out. Maybe on the way back,

Brilliant day out, lovely walks, Hatton Arms, Canalside, a great family pub to eat and refresh, and great people along the tow path.

User

Beautiful place, everyone said hello. Even though it took them over 3 hours to get through the 21 locks they all smiled and passed the time of day with you. Cafe staff also smiled as chatted. Great walk down to the bottom lock and back again.

As ever our visit today was just what the doctor ordered, food, staff and surroundings we never tire of, our only gripe today and this is nothing to do with the cafe was yet again the car park machine wasn't working, so dilemma, notice above machine requests you to pay £1.20 by dialling the telephone number and paying by debit or credit card, ok, I'm only carrying cash because we're having a stroll with our labrador Ollie, so I find another number for the 'Helpline' for the jobbed out car park company. Told person on end of line that machine wasn't working and have no card, they retorted, can you pay online, sorry, I'm walking my dog, not my pc or laptop, well sorry then madam, you will have to leave the car park and find alternative parking, this is surely detrimental to the cafes business. Just a thought, also they state on the board next to the machine that the car park funds benefit the canals and rivers trust so it may be affecting them also, hence, we did not drive away. Keep up the good work all.

Always a fun place to be for a walk along the canal in peace and quiet. We love to have a snack and cuppa at the Hatton Locks cafe, staff are very friendly and courteous.

User

After an hour in the first lock due to rubble obstructing the bottom gate, CRT came to our rescue and soon had it cleared, we then with two boats tied together (Kieth steering) and Ray, Caroline and Jo on the locks completed the 21 in two and a half hours which is our fifth and fastest time 😄

User

Great place to visit . I went with my niece and her 2 young children and the loved seeing the boats coming through the kicks and the oldest was allowed to help opening the gates . Nice tea shop with delicious lemon drizzle cake but was very busy and long queues out of the doors to wait .

User

A fantastic place to either bike along, walk up and down or just sit and watch the boats and people. Hatton Locks cafe is great to have a drink and perhaps a slice of homemade biscuit or cake whilst sitting outside in the sun. But not when it is really busy because it takes ages to get served! Much used by cycling groups.
