Healthtec Description
HealthTec is:
A working partnership - working with schools and NHS Trusts from across Birmingham and Solihull to bring together health and education, by delivering hands-on immersive sessions for young people to work alongside NHS professionals.
Curriculum-driven - delivering sessions which directly contribute to and satisfy aspects of the curriculum, from Science and Health and Social Care, to Literacy, Numeracy and Citizenship.
Career-focused - provinging young people the opportunity to work alongside experts and champions from the profession they are interested in entering, and giving them a real direct insight into the daily tasks and challenges they would face.
A path to employment - helping young people to develop and demonstrate the key care values and professional competencies required for employment in the health and care sector, and help them plan their next steps on the career route they choose.

We had a dentist coming over and showing a few students about dentistry and it seems very interesting
HillCrest School came in and done Microbiology they really enjoyed the day. As a real Microbiologist came in and had a talk
Queensbridge school has come in to learn about First Aid and they seemed to have a really great time in the Health Tec

Been across the road to st Judes Catholic school and here we can see one of our health ambassadors showing how to do CPR out on the fields as it was a lovely day
On this Launch we had some of our ambassadors come in and use the equipment we even done a test run to see what they would do if they saw someone who just had a heart attack The way the ambassadors preformed was excellent and really knowledgeable
