Update on treatment for people with cancer.
The NHS has issued guidance on maintaining cancer treatment through the Covid-19 response.
They say that:
... “Essential and urgent cancer treatments must continue. Cancer specialists should discuss with their patients whether it is riskier for them to undergo or to delay treatment at this time. Urgent consideration should be given to consolidating cancer surgery in a COVID-free hub, with centralised triage to prioritise patients based on clinical need.”
Healthwatch Isle of Wight are interested in hearing from people with cancer about their experiences since the introduction of social distancing by the government.
