had the best 4 years at college thanks to every tutor at the college. i had no confidence when i left school and since i was part of the college they have helped me. some of the tutors helped me when my granddad died 2 years ago. sad that im leaving. meet some great friends too whilst being here. but it can improve on communication and organisation.

Did my level 2, part time Beauty Therapy training last year and now on my level 3 which finishes in June. The range of treatments you cover and the professionalism has been superb. Now on higher level electrical treatments, Swedish massage, aromatherapy, Indian head amongst others. Many of the girls have been offered jobs and companies are really interested and placing adverts here as they know we have been thoroughly trained.

Both my teachers are amazing at what they do and I thank the college for helping me on my route to success. Brilliant place to study.

Lewis Simmons, best teacher i have ever had, really helped me through the first two year, all the teachers in the student lounge, brilliant, they have helped me with all my personal private life, the only down fall to this year is that, i may not be able to see them all to get advice from people who know how to speak to me, and that's a shame. all this is just down to the bus, no cheap transport means no more me...i am certainly not the only person in the colleges that are thinking the exact same! do something about it!

Complaint & Refund request

I enrolled for a silver jewellery class which was due to start at the Malvern School of Art.

I arrived for my class and nobody was there, I went to reception and spoke to a lady who was very sympathetic she took my number and I was told that I would be contacted the next day regarding my refund.

Unfortunately I was not contacted and the following day I contacted The School of Art to find out what was happening with my refund. I was given a form to complete which I did immediately. I received confirmation that it had been forwarded onto the appropriate person.

After 2 weeks had passed I contacted the School once again to find out what was happening with my refund. I was told that another person had received their refund and that I should check my account. No such luck.

I advised The School of Art that I was not happy with the situation and asked for details of the person I needed to contact in order to submit a complaint.

Retaining my payment when the course had been cancelled does not appear to be ethical to me. I was not given any notification of the cancellation in advance of the class despite the fact that I had completed a form with all of my contact details.

I am very disappointed that the course was cancelled but I am more disappointed in the way I have been treated. I am still waiting for an explanation as to why my payment was retained after the course was cancelled.

Went to Fusion for a treatment (eye lashes that last 3-4 weeks), going to Malta the following day so I was very excited, not had it done before. Sadly it didn't happen, no one told me I needed a glue test done prior to treatment, hence, no treatment allowed and the manager informed me I was the 2nd client that day that had to be turned away because they were not told of the test when they booked. Students need to learn, I get that, but where was the manager to oversea reception staff to ensure they give out the correct information? I was terribly upset and quite frankly annoyed 😡

Teachers dont know where the line is pushes way to far on personal issues been there 3 years only had 1 gd year. First year i had a teacher refuse to give me the work i needed and when i brought it up with the gead of the corse i was in the wrong some how. Second year was ok mostly, and 3rd year i have had teacher push the line on very privet matters, no sort things out when they happen and wait for them to get worse, stand there and ignore people that is literally trying to wide people up (yes at our age we should know better but still).

Started Level 1 light vehicle maintenance in 2015 with no teacher for the first week, started level 2 in 2016 and didn't have a set teacher for the first 5 months of the course, therefore no progress had been made towards our qualification. When we finally did get a permanent teacher in jan/Feb, we werent rushed to catch up on the work that had not been formally completed and marked. Stress levels were extremely high throughout my experience as I also had to travel a long way to "study" (waste my time). This affected my motive to attend college in a sense that I couldn't be bothered to waste my time anymore. The end of the academic year came and I completed all my coursework and was told I had passed my level 2 and should await my certificate! Typical of how college, both of the department leaders have decided to up and leave, so now it is the 2nd of October and my entire class hasn't received their level 2 certificate. Now considering the college hasn't let me back, I need that certificate as evidence of my qualification as I'm looking for full time work. I feel let down and feel as if my time has been heavily wasted and the responsibility has been unfairly dumped upon us as students for the lack of work and punctuation, when I can say there was a third of my second year wasted to unexperienced staff who knew how to use nothing but a hammer and pry bar, some could barely talk English! I am not happy with how I've been messed around by this college, and I hope this review helps future applicants make the wisest decision possible. Thank you!

Staff are shit. Most of my teachers would arrive late and after registering you would just leave and you wouldn’t be able to find them again for hours. They refuse to help you with anything weather it be your work or a serious issue. They won’t even respond to emails that need a reply. The staff treat you like shit. Don’t ever consider this college.
