A big shout out to PCSO Warne and PCSO Thompson; they are totally rocking the masked look today. Both have done a fantastic job helping some of our more vulnerable people with their shopping and collection of prescriptions. #StayHomeSaveLives #Covid_19

Good Morning. We have been made aware of some sheep who have escaped around the Newton Farm area.
At this stage we belive that Shaun, who lives with his flock at Mossy Bottom Farm, was bored with the routine of sheep life.
He has conducted a plan to have a day off by tricking the farmer into going back to sleep by counting his sheep repeatedly.
... But "ewe" don't have to worry, the farmer is doing his best to round them up.

Evening All! Once again its been a glorious day and we're pleased to report that for the most part people have complied with the Stay Home directive from the Government.
We have increased foot patrol and mobile patrols in our communities in order to provide reassurance and assistance where we can.
We do however have a further message for you with regards to Social Distancing.
... These restrictions on movement are well publicised and are easily found on gov.uk.
THEY ARE IN PLACE FOR YOUR SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF OTHERS!
They exist to try and stem the spread of COVID-19, protect our NHS, and SAVE LIVES!
You are NOT permitted to take part in gatherings of more than 2 people and you MUST stay 2 metres apart. THIS IS FOR THE SAFETY OF YOU AND YOUR COMMUNITY
Please only leave your home when absolutely essential and in line with the government directive.
POLICE HAVE NOW BEEN GIVEN POWERS TO ENFORCE THESE RESTRICTIONS. However, in the first instance we would always seek your compliance and assistance in keeping our/your community safe.
Please let us know if there is anyone in your community who is vulnerable and may be in need of assistance during this period.
Thank you and once again
Stay Home, Protect the NHS, SAVE LIVES!

Scam callers targeting elderly and vulnerable people Officers in Herefordshire have been made aware of a number of scam callers pretending to police officers in a bid to defraud elderly and vulnerable people.
Detective Inspector Emma Wright said “Following a significant spike in courier fraud offences at the end of last year, we saw a marked drop in these cases; likely due to a number of arrests and also as a result of strong messages to advise the public on how to avoid thes...e scams. Unfortunately, over the past few days in Herefordshire we have started to see a re-emergence of offences, where suspects are contacting elderly, vulnerable people via the telephone, pretending to be from the police or their bank, in a bid to get them to divulge bank details or to hand over cash. It is particularly important that at the moment, where many elderly people may be self-isolating due to Coronavirus concerns, that we all remain vigilant to such frauds"
The message is simple – the police or your bank will never ask you to hand over or transfer cash or valuables. Any such request is a scam. Do not reveal any bank details, put down the phone and wait 10 minutes to ensure the line has disconnected. Following this report the matter to the police on 101 or via Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.
“Please continue to share this message with elderly friends, neighbours and relatives in Herefordshire, particularly at present, when they may be feeling isolated and could be particularly susceptible to scams.”
