Following 30 years in the police I have returned to ceramics and set up my own pottery studio making unique crystal glazed porcelain. At Herries Pottery I love working with crystal glazes which produce jewel like surfaces, which are dynamic and different every time. As a young man I trained as a potter at Prinknash Abbey in Gloucestershire before teaching ceramics for several years. So, on retirement as the Chief Constable of Wiltshire, the call to return to making pots was irresistible.
