The best seller on our menu. Our braised pork belly with crispy crackling has been on since opening over a year and a half ago, and it seems impossible to take off the menu. This is served with a creamy mash, chorizo, wilted spinach and cannellini beans.

i went to hewitts today for the first time to celebrate my birthday and i can honestly say it was the best restaurant i have been to the staff where so lovely and welcoming and the food was incredible i was shocked i ate scallops as i usually hate anything fish but they where amazing i absolutely loved them ! the food was fantastic can’t recommend enough !

Wow what a place! Amazing staff, amazing food and atmosphere. 100% will be going back x

What can I say that has not been said already?? Wow and Amazing!! are a couple of words i can think of.



From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave you feel really welcome, so much so i would say it has a homely feel to the restaurant and staff. Add in delicious food at a good price and a good range of drinks and you have a formidable combination, not to mention after your meal you can relax in the large lounge room that and socialize for the entire evening.

In Dean and Josh you have two young, friendly and approachable staff in charge. You can tell that they had honed their craft before coming together at Hewitt's to surely make a 'Must' on every ones to eat at list.

I will 100% be returning

What a gem of a restaurant! Hidden away down a side street in Newport we were greeted with a warm welcome into an oasis of chic style. My choice for lunch was a bean casserole with green side salad; absolute perfection! Superbly presented and utterly delicious. This was followed by a sublime, light and fluffy chocolate brownie with a mint ice cream. I cannot wait to return.

Went for Mother’s Day Sunday roast and it was the best roast dinner I’ve had out! So so lovely - beef was so tender! Definitely coming back again soon!

We had a fabulous 3 course set menu for 18 people on Sat eve to celebrate a 21st birthday. The food was all hot, fresh and absolutely delicious served at the same time. The garden was a bonus to sit in after dinner and enjoy a glass of wine. Great service and menu guys we loved it! Well Done Dean, Josh & team for a great dining experience xx

Visited Hewitt’s for the first time Saturday as a group of four.

Sat in the lovely secluded garden for pre meal drink. Then we were sat for our meal ,food was absolutely delicious,from the starters to deserts. Good choice of foods on the menu .The staff are very friendly nothing too much trouble. Very relaxed atmosphere,nice layout of tables. Will definitely be going back . Thanks very much x

On Thursday my best friend surprised me with a celebratory dinner at Hewitt’s and from the moment I walked in I was made to feel welcome, brilliant service and friendly. Beautiful view of the garden and a great layout throughout. Food was scrumptious, highly recommended to anyone that wants high quality food, a night out with family or friends. I loved every minute I was there! I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!

My daughter took me here today (Mothers Day) it was the first time i have been here, it will not be the last, its FANTABULOUS, the whole place is superb, food amazing so tasty, the service was fab, all had smiles and ready to help, atmosphere was lovely, you felt at ease. I will be going again very soon.

I went as part of a large group for my mum's birthday. Venue was lovely, staff were great, very polite and very accommodating. The menu had enough choice for everyone ( including the children and our vegetarian friends ) and the food was amazing. Not a bad word to say about the place. I definitely will be going again in the future and totally recommend it .

Right from the get go, until we left, the customer service was top notch.

The food in her words, was "befitting for royalty".

The cheesecake dessert was a big surprise for her. Dean, joined by the lovely customers next to our table and myself sang her a happy birthday song as the cake was brought in.

I made a booking for 12 of my family to celebrate mums birthday. To keep things simple we all chose from the Christmas menu and we weren't disappointed. The food was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The restaurant has a lovely ambience and all of the staff were wonderfully attentive. At the end of our meal, Dean arrange for our taxis and we all left feeling that we had been well fed and very well looked after. Mum had a birthday meal she would never forget.

Finally had a meal here after hearing so many good things about this place. Well, it did not disappoint. Amazing! I cannot eat onion and they were more than happy to make up a meal specially, on the spot with very little notice, it was delicious!!! Will definitely be eating here again!
