After the Prime Ministers announcement last night we are having to change our consulting policies to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. ❗️We are only providing emergency appointments. These will be decided by a telemedicine call. Please ring the surgery and we will call you back between our appointment times and decide if you need to be seen at the practice. ❗️We will NOT be seeing routine appointments for eg nail clips, 6 month health checks, booster vaccinations (unle...ss puppy course and 1st year Booster) flea and worming. checks. ❗️Neutering will be cancelled unless you have an unneutered male in the house and there is a risk of pregnancy. Or your cat is an out door cat. ❗️We will be contacting you over the next day or two to speak to you about your appointment. ❗️If you DO need to come to practice, you will not be allowed in the building. Please phone us to say you have arrived and we will come and get your pet from the car, you will have already spoke to the vet via telephone consult. We will examine your pet in the consult room and bring back to you in the car. ❗️Repeat prescriptions. We will still be providing repeat prescriptions. Please call and order as normal and allow 48 hours for us to get these ordered and ready for you. You can only collect these between 11.30am and 4pm and you will be given a slot to pick them up.

CORONA VIRUS UPDATE ❗️
We have been having many questions surrounding the virus and what steps we have put in place. We are still taking things day by day but here are some of the things you can do:
... 🐾 If you are worried about coming in to collect medication/ food etc (this is a worry of our more elderly clients) - remember, we take card payments over the phone, so this means we can arrange for the items you need to be collected to be kept at the back door for you, this way you wont have to come into reception. Please always pre order everything whether that be food or medication just to make sure that we can have it ready for you.
🐾 We are still happy to book in all appointments but just a reminder for boosters, these dont have to be done exactly a year later than your pets previous booster. The maximum time you can go over is 12 weeks. So delaying your more routine appointments wont cause any serious issues.
🐾 Try and limit how many people come into the practice with your pet. Where possible just try and keep it to just 1 person that comes in with your animal.
🐾 If you are feeling unwell/have any symptoms of cold or flu or have recently been around anyone that is unwell with these symptoms, please call to re arrange your appointments. If for any reason you are worried about your pet and cannot come in please let us know and we can ask our Vet to call you.
🐾 Pay by card, just a suggestion not a requirement. We are sanitizing the card machine after every use, including wiping down door handles, chairs etc.
🐾 You may see some of our staff wearing disposable gloves and maybe even masks. This isn't to alarm you or cause any offence, our reception staff are in constant contact with different people throughout the day and also handling money so it is just a way to protect ourselves and our clients.
🐾 As we all know, washing hands with soap and water and using anti bac hand gel is the best thing to do. So again, just remember to do this before and after coming to the practice.
🐾 If you have been on holiday out of the country within the last two weeks please let us know.

🐾❤️ WE URGENTLY NEED HELP ❤️🐾
Due to very unfortunate circumstances and through no fault of the owner nor the dogs we are desperately seeking a new home for two male Jack Russell Terriers. Bill & Ben are brothers, 9 years old and have always been together so separate homes is not an option.
The owner has only been given 1 week to try and find Bill & Ben a new home (we cannot go into the circumstances of why) so we are asking our lovely followers to help get the word out.
... Bill and Ben are so very well behaved and are the best of friends so we can't stress enough how much we need them to be homed together
