Hogarths Victorian Gin Style Palace is Coming to Newport Soon. We specialise is all things gin and serve a wider range of drinks
Hogarths Newport Description
Hogarths Newport is situated between High street and Cambrian Rd with wheelchair access from the latter. Having opened in June 2016
it has fast become one of the most popular community pubs in the area catering for all ages.
It has a large spacious layout which is divided into six comfortable areas all with T. V's, delivering a range of sports to suit all tastes, horse racing, rugby and football to name a few.
Two of the four real ales are from local welsh brewers which combined with the landlords own range of cocktails make this venue unique to the area.
Fresh Bloomer sandwiches and bar snacks are available at very reasonable prices.
Don, Crib and other card games are played daily.
Coach and minibus trips are organised frequently including a weekend visit around nine Hogarths as far afield as South Shields and a four night City tour to Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds and Liverpool.
So if you are looking for a fun, crazy, friendly pub with excellent service, Hogarths Newport is the place to come.

Went here last night with my partner . The place smells newness and was fab . The gin choice is fantastic and not expensive . Really enjoyed a bit of class in newport ... not sure if others will appreciate ..
Visited this bar today and was very impressed, will definitely call in again and try their cocktails. Couldn't believe 2 latte coffees were only £1.79 and we could have free refills!! That's value for your money, will defo be back.
Taking things back to how it should be in regards to a pub where you can meet up with friends, listen to music, watch some sport and not have to worry about kids running about or food being eaten next to you. The venue itself is very well presented, the staff are friendly and the management are a delight to talk to and will take the time to talk to you about the many different types of alcohol they serve.
People are all to critical in this town a new place staff finding their feet, great venue very clean and tidy so what if u have to wait a few minutes for a drink a lot better than most places in newport.
Love this place a really nice pub something different just what Newport needed. A must try is the Rhubarb and Ginger gin it's delicious. I love the decor and surroundings.
Love this new pub,normal drinks reasonably priced,nice to have a pub where there are no children allowed as much as I love all my 7 grandchildren ,there is a place and time for them and definitely not out in pubs early evening,except for special occasions,and no food being served .... lovely

Asked Barman to recommend a Gin as it's not something I normally drink... he asked me what I like and then suggested a Raspberry one, with fresh raspberries and lemonade, and it was absolutely delicious! � Had tickets to see a band or would have stayed much longer! Will definitely call in again for another Raspberry Gin soon!! �� x
Like Hogarths very nice, staff friendly ( some others have commented differently but I find them helpful and anyway a smile and a thank you goes a long way �). Was here on this visit for the charity night for Dreams and Wishes and it was fabulous! Very busy but staff still helpful. The groups were great and the organisation of the stage and seating was very well done.
Iv been quite a lot I absolutely live this pub .fantastic selection of drinks great atmosphere !!!! .and most of all reasonable prices!!!!! Give spoons a run for their money ....oh lovely and clean

My type of place, with friendly punters, great bar staff, and a landlord and landlady who regularly come out to chat. Very reasonably priced. Top tip: the bar snacks not only fill a gap but are delicious. As a newcomer to Newport, there are lots of places I'd go back to, but Hogarths is set to be a firm favourite.
Having only recently moved to Newport I haven't been in many pubs yet other than the obligatory Wetherspoons. I've just discovered Hogarths in the last few days though and it strikes me as a really first class establishment - a lovely interior and bar staff who know what they're doing. £1.95 for a pint of cask ale is none too shabby too!

A Gin Palace that couldn't serve me a dry martini?! Also second drink served to me without the garnish, had to ask!
The decor and layout is nice, the selection of gin is good, but once you scratch the surface it's feels like just another chain pub.
Too long to get served, too long to prepare drinks, didn't have 2 out of 3 gins advertised. No bitter lemon. Too much ice, couldn't taste gin. Inexperienced staff. Not an enjoyable experience, won't be returning until teething problems sorted. Sorry Hogarths
Was looking forward to trying the Parma violet gin with a few of my work colleagues after talking about it all week - all above the legal age may I add however the doorman refused entry for one of my colleagues as she has a provisional licence? we confirmed this and made sure it wasn’t because of her age (19) & he replied with “the landlord makes his own rules up, we’re not allowed to take provisionals” whaaaaaaat?! First time for everything I suppose....
Unfortunately the staff and management made us feel unwelcome and tried to make me pay for drinks I didn't order. No apology for their mistake and was advised not to go back. Fine with me! Not the first time I've been made to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome there by the management.
Could you please explain why the genuine review I left last night AND your replies have been removed? Kind regards.
