We’re excited to say our delicious raw and creamed honey is now available online - http://holthallapiary.co.uk/product-categ ory/honey/
All of our honey is produced on our farm in Staffordshire using traditional techniques that means our honey doesn’t lose nutrients or flavour from hive to Jar.
Track your honey! You can now also get information about your jar of honey from our website, like which hives produced it, when it was harvested and what sort of flowers it might be from!
Come and see us at Buzzards Valley Artisan & Local Business Market this Sunday (14th) 10am to 2pm. We will have delicious raw local honey, beekeeping experience vouchers and a great range of handmade beeswax candles!
One of the last extraction runs of the year! Remember we have honey for sale at Planters garden Centre and on our website - www.holthallapiary.co.uk
Our local raw honey is only strained to remove large particles of wax, that means we don’t alter the taste or properties of our raw honey in any way! 🐝

Did you know... In hot weather honey bees collect water to cool their hive! The water is spread in a thin film on top of sealed brood or on the rims of cells containing larvae and eggs. The workers then fan vigorously, which evaporates the water and cools the interior of the hive. Amazingly that is very similar to how human-made air conditioning units work!
The first of this years runny honey is now available at Planters Garden Centre. This honey is completely raw and just the way the bees made it! 🐝
This years first batch of creamed oil seed rape honey is now available to buy! £4.50 for our 8oz jar. It is stocked at Planters Garden Centre or message us to arrange a delivery if you live locally to Tamworth! 🍯🐝
A couple of pictures of today’s beekeeping experience. It was good fun but a little bit too warm in the suits! ☀️ Interested In getting hands on with honey bees? Go to: http://holthallapiary.co.uk/product/beeke eping-experience/

Such a brilliant experience from start to finish.
Really informative and so fascinating seeing the bees at work. Session starts with some theory and Matt is a really patient and knows his stuff. It's completely safe and the bees are more nosey than anything.
Brilliant!
Our group had a great time at the Beekeeping Experience yesterday. We were given an info pack with wildlife attracting seeds and had an informative talk over a cold drink (very needed in the heat!) where Matthew told us about bees and beekeeping. He was very knowledgeable when we bombarded him with questions! We then had a short walk to two hives and had a look inside to get to know the 'anatomy' of a beehive. We got to handle the frames and have an in-depth look at the comb, eggs and the different castes of bee (queen, workers and drones). Such a unique, unusual experience and highly recommended!
