** Hoo's Knows **
This little guy is the Ictonyx striatus, sometimes known as the striped polecat or zorilla. Although he may look more like a skunk, the name ‚Äúzorilla‚ÄĚ comes from the word ‚Äúzorro‚ÄĚ, which actually means ‚Äúfox‚ÄĚ in Spanish!

Hoo Fest - Comic Con on the Farm is a brand new event for Hoo Farm, in conjunction with Really Wild Events.
On the 3rd of August 2019 we will be joined by some stars of stage and screen who you can meet plus lots of amazing experiences and activities, plus all the usual fun the farm has to offer!

We popped down for an animal experience and the staff were lovely and the animals too. Despite the Serval being very sleepy that day, we got to give him a good pet and hand feed Lemurs and cuddle Meerkats. You can't complain there. The lady showing is around was super nice and knowledgeable. We only wish that we had double checked the opening times to be able to browse the rest of the farm!

We had a brilliant Meerkat Experience yesterday. The member of staff who was with us was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and mindful of the fact I was in a wheelchair. We had a lot of fun feeding the Meerkats. They climbed all over us and were so funny, and cute!! We then went to the hand reared Meerkats and had some lovely cuddles with them. The whole experience exceeded our expectations and would not hesitate to recommend Hoo Farm. Oh, and we came away with all our fingers still intact lol.

Was looking forward to the Easter Sheep Race but thanks to those people who don't eat meat and make their own soap and deodrant they have now got it banned or under review. I hope that they realise that the sheep were not being treated badly and I am sure that come Monday these so called vegans will find another cause to get 50,000 signatures for and get something banned because they don't like it or fit their agenda

Took my Dad for his 75th birthday treat and we did the ringtailed lemurs, meerkats and servals encounters.

Was an amazing experience and Tori was very knowable too.

Everyone on staff was helpful and friendly. Dad uses a walker and could even take that into the enclosures.

Would definitely recommend and will be returning for a different encounters experience.

My husband and daughter had the serval lemur and meerkat experience on Saturday for his early birthday present. The guide was so lovely and really patient with our daughter. I got to walk along with them and take pictures and she was really welcoming and informative. The other 2 guides were just as friendly and clearly show the love and passion they have for the animals they look after. Lovely experience and highly recommended x

Just spent two wonderful hours with Aaron doing the carnivore combo and the binturong experience. Had an absolutely amazing time! The racoon and the binturong were so much fun, really playful and interactive. We do lots of encounters and Aaron definitely made it interesting and educational at the same time. Would highly recommend to everyone!

Just had the best birthday treat ever.. Meerkats experience ÔŅĹ it was exactly what I hoped for.. firstly getting to feed the indoor meerkats lots of healthy yummy foods.. but when really all they want is the meal worms.. and lots of them! You get to sit in there enclosure whilst they run, jump around you.. even climb on you!! Secondary we got to spend around 40 minutes with the hand reared meerkats .. our little boy was covvi .. he was so content just snuggling in my arms .. plenty of time to talk and ask questions and get all the meerkats information.. brilliant meerkat attendant who made the experience really relaxed and comfortable ūüĖí best hour I've spent on a Sunday in a very long time!!! 100% recommend this to anyone who loves meerkats.. Thank you too farm ÔŅĹ

Just had an hour encounter with the serval cat, meerkats and lemurs for my daughters 9th birthday bought via Groupon. Aaron, the keeper was brilliant, very knowledgable with a good sense of humour. Really understanding with children & explained everything well. Will definitely be coming back again for a longer experience! Thank you for making her birthday one to remember ÔŅĹ

Had an animal encounter today with my daughter for her birthday and it was simply the best morning we have had. The keepers were informative, and very patient. First time I have ever held a snake too! Me and my daughter had the best time and the animals were so well chilled and it was lovely to see that the surroundings and enclosures were so natural and spacious. Thank you for a fabulous experience, I highly recommend having an experience if you’re thinking of it x

Had a lovely day out today with my daughter and got to see some beautiful animals and experiences, the staff were knowledgeable and respectful to the animals which for me is a must. Had a lovely chat with some of the staff in the afternoon about the ivory pieces which were on display (they were police confiscated ones) as someone who loathes ivory artifacts (ivory only belongs on an elephant) I'm glad that they too find this trade abhorrent and in their words 'if those pieces can educate just one person, as much as we don't like seeing them then having them on display is worth it'.

Had a lovely day at Hoo. Finished off with an hours meerkat, lemur and serval experience with Aaron, a very friendly and knowledgeable guide . Great fun for me and my son. Lovely cuddles with the meerkats, fed the lemurs and got up close to the serval. Would love to do it again ÔŅĹ

The farm it self was big and went for the day had fab time and grandkiddies loved all the animals and feeding them and getting up close and touching ... The eating picnic area was great and the outdoor play equipment . 5* Hoo Farm what a fabulous day out and experience

Absolutely loved every minute, and every creature we were introduced to. The animals seemed content, the handler was very knowledgeable and you could see from the way the animals responded to him that they have a good relationship. Would happily come back again!

Absolutely brilliant place, went today with my mom as a surprise for her 60th. Loved all the animals we saw and our encounter was with the meerkats, servals & lemurs we couldn’t fault it one bit, the serval Zeus wouldn’t come down which was a shame but can’t be helped but got some cool photos of him. The meerkats were a delight so cuddly and loveable I could’ve taken them home, and the lemurs were really friendly and loved giving them bits of food. Aaron who took us round was brilliant, he was really friendly and outgoing and very knowledgeable on the animals. I’m definitely going to come back again and bring my son with me, id also do another encounter they are really worth it.

The Guys who lead the encounter were great! They knew the answers to everything we wanted to know! I felt very relaxed and felt like they knew the meerkats very well and handle them very well! Me & my other half came for part as his birthday present and were very pleased we got to meet the meerkats and we're surprised how friendly and tame they were! We got to feed the meerkats and then hold two hand reared Meerkats who were lovely and I even managed to get a little selfie with one! ÔŅĹ thank you to all the staff at Hoo Farm!
