Established in 1969, we have been taking people on pony trekking trips to Wales for over 40 years. In more recent years, since the Foot and Mouth we had to look further afield to ride and as a result some excellent trips abroad
were made available.
We specialise in bookings for beginners or riders alike. friends, couples, hen /stag parties, groups and individuals especially welcome.
Our clients come from all walks of life. Joint Champion Jockey - Zeb Saunders first sat on a horse at 9 years of age pony trekking with us.
In the past we have taken people with no vision or with special needs, we continue to try to accommodate individuals where possible.

Stopping for a picnic half way resting you and your horse then making a different route back to the stables. We then transport you to your hotel B/B 3 course evening meal with ...en-suite rooms and leisure facilities with its indoor pool, steam room Jacuzzi and late bar. Next day after breakfast Sunday is our next adventure ...Everybody's Dream Full day beach riding on safe sandy beaches ŌĆ”. Your first canter will take your breath away. In the evening we make our way for refreshments at Monmouth and retuning home to Coventry 8-30 pm Full Cost ┬Ż240 P/P Dep ┬Ż100 2 Full days riding, B/B 3 course evening meal, coach return.

Wow, an absolutely incredible day on the beach ride, loved every minute of it. The horses were brillant, scenery was stunning and everyone was very friendly and welcoming.
The gallops along the beach were the highlight for me; definitley one of the best riding experiences I've ever had! Thank you so much George (And Splash the horse!).
Went riding on the beach in ormorge for the first time yesterday with my best friend and I loved it!!
Everyone was so welcoming and the horses were fabulous!!
I will deffo be doing it again next year!
It was a breath taking experience thank you so much!!
Would recommend to anyone!!
Well, what an amazing day out, picked up, fed and watered, fantastic long gallops, cantering goes on for ever, fit, well cared for and well behaved horses. Great company and I can't wait to go back! Not for the nervous rider.
We did the day beach ride in Wales, it was fantastic! Lots of galloping along the beach and cantering through the sand dunes. Not for the inexperienced or nervous rider but PERFECT if you are a confident rider and want to be able to enjoy a good ramp! Horses were really well behaved and clearly well looked after. All in good condition and still keen to keep going after 5 hours out! George picked us up & dropped off as described and all ran to plan. Absolutely loved the day and we will defo be going back!
Was the best birthday present ever!!! What an amazing time both me and my friend had, in the mountains and on the beach,never thought I would ever have the chance or ability to canter like that againthanks for all your support George, and my medal of coursehappy days
This place is amazing ! Had a brilliant ride yesterday ! It was lovely to be back in Wales again and seeing the beautiful landscape. I felt very safe with the staff, the staff are amazing and very friendly ! I would recommend anyone this place. I'm looking forward to going to Austria soon! So many opportunities and different things to do with Hoofin-around, like beach rides, going aboard etc! The horses are lovely as well. They provided a demonstration for beginner riders which was well explained and demonstrated. (Not that this was a problem for me :) ) ride here it's amazing !!!

George is a pure gent with a cheeky personality makes you feel really welcome so friendly and cheerful.
The holiday itself wow!!!
Scenery to take your breath away. Fabulous people in both the riding centres both made you feel really welcome and very organised.
Lovely little pubs along the way for a well earned rest for you and your horses. Lovely environment, atmosphere and people.
Lovely food at the green dragon both on the way there and on the way back. Lovely little pub with a lovely atmosphere very well organised and friendly. Had our meals ready when we got there very efficient and very tasty.
Lovely little hotel to stay in with lovely facilities and all of it a reasonable prices.

My first Hoofin-about holiday and it will most certainly not be my last... had an absolutely amazing weekend on the high tide ride, 1st day in the black mountains and the 2nd on the beaches in Ogmore.
George was an amazing host and the rest of the group made the trip even more memorable. Thank you George and everyone else for an unforgetable weekend.

Just back from Wales the 'High Tide Ride weekend' the riding is superb. Fabulous scenery and good cobs with plenty of cantering. All three of us had a brilliant time.
Incredible Weekend, the riding was amazing, fantastic horses, fantastic views and lovely people. Really can't wait to do it all again
I've been on two Hoofin About day holidays now. In May we went to Ogmore beach, and today we went to the Brecon Beacons. Both outstanding days, hair raising and a great laugh. I'd definitely recommend to anyone who just wants to get out of the house for a day, this will be an experience you won't forget. Being horsey isn't necessary. Great value for money.
I went on the beach riding holiday yesterday and it really was an experience of a life time. Galloping over the beaches, weaving through the sand dunes and wading through the rivers. From start to finish the day was well planned and ran very smoothly. George, the other riders and the staff at the riding centre were all very friendly. All in all I would highly recommend this trip.
Great value and great fun! One of the best horse riding experiences I've had. Am recommending to friends and would definitely go again :-)
