Hopes Of Longtown Description
Celebrating 15 years of serving the community in 2016, Hopes of Longtown is a general store with a difference located in the Herefordshire village of Longtown, a stone’s throw from the Welsh border between Hereford, Abergavenny and Hay-on-Wye. Combining a diverse range of speciality and regional produce with the practical facets of a convenience store, Hopes of Longtown exists to serve the outlying community along with hundreds of visitors to the area, while helping to sustain local economies.
In 2011 Hopes of Longtown achieved Top 100 Independent Retailer (UK & Ireland) status by the Independent Achievers Academy (& 2012), the Gold Award for Community Retailing from the FWD’s My Shop is Your Shop campaign and was a finalist in the Flavours of Herefordshire awards.
