If you’re already using your stove for heating your home, then it will be worth using that heat for cooking food also. This will save on gas or electric and can produce some delicious results.

It’s Grown in Britain Week and this is something we really want to show our support for.
Grown in Britain’s aim is to bring people and organisations together in order to achieve the growth of our managed woodlands, reducing our imports by sourcing wood from within the UK, thus having a positive impact upon our own environment as well as our economy.
As stated by Grown in Britain, ‘The UK currently consumes over ½ million m3 of hardwood each year, much of which are species w...e grow in the UK, but less than 10% of this is obtained from UK sources. We import £7.8 billion of timber whilst neglecting our own supplies’. ‘Only China imports more wood than the UK’.
Woodlands that are well-managed for the purpose of fuel and timber will only lead to more trees per person in the UK. With only 47 trees in existence for every person in Britain, it’s easy to see how much we have been ignoring our woodlands as a sustainable source of timber and fuel.
