Rob ,Monty and their team made our Wedding Reception go off brilliantly . From start to finish they couldn’t do enough for us . They provided the food we asked for ,and more as well. They communicated with my wife and I all through the day ,and we are so pleased we chose to have our reception at the Imperial. If your looking for a party or Wedding venue ,you won’t be disappointed by the Imperial

the staff are really nice, welcoming and easy to get along with, the environment is friendly and overall a cosy place to chill when you have a bit of time on your hands to relax.



The food is nicely presented and cooked to a good standard (busy nights this may vary but from my experience working in a kitchen it can be quite overwhelming at times so it doesn't phase me).



Overall a really nice place to eat, drink and relax with friends or family or even just a quite drink on your own.

I had my surprise birthday party here on the 20th January and the staff could not have been more helpful the food was excellent everyone commented on it there was so much of it and it wasn't the normal boring party bits a lot of it was made fresh not bought in thank you to all staff

Had a great meal here with my family really enjoyed sitting out in the sun in the garden. Will be going back this Sunday day for the hawaii party and music!!

My 10 year old Son had the fish and chips and he wasn't disappointed. I had the chicken curry which if I'm honest was a little stingy and no chutney etc served with the small naan bread but staff were friendly and overall good value for money.

Waited a while for food when it came out it looked awful just thrown on the plate!! We orederd the beef sub two pieces of tiny packet beef that you couldn't even chew!!! Not again!!!

The food has gone down hill, I've visited a couple of times for breakfast and lunch. The breakfast(fry up) tasted like it was pre cooked then warmed up and then it came out cold. Won't eat there again.

I went for the first time with my husband, I got a table by the window,my table hadn't been cleared, I ordered food, waited 15 minutes or more, I ended up clearing the table myself in the end,

My food arrived, burger/chips, it was ok,I waited for my water to be served, I finished my food (still no water) I went over to the bar woman that served me to be told it was at the far end of the bar and it was self service, she should of told me this at the beginning after I asked for it..

Poor training and customer service of your staff.

I definitely won't be returning.

Went in for a cooked breakfast as previous experience had proven to be a good place for a breakfast. They had no hot drinks. When I asked to swap the meat sausages for vegetarian sausages I was told they couldn’t do that but I could add bacon to a vegetarian breakfast!??! My husband asked for no mushrooms or tomato but when the food eventually came out (warm) he had mushrooms and a tomato but only 1 egg. They did bring out the second egg once we mentioned it (in a dirty bowl!) they were understaffed which would explain the incredibly slow service. It’s a shame but I won’t be eating there again.

45 minutes later still no food so I went and asked and was told coming out now. Got back to table and it was being plonked on there.

7 over cooked chips on both plates warm not hot... Cheese and bacon burger again more warm than hot. Burger was burnt on the one side. Lettuce was brown. So totally not worth the £17 paid.

Will not be returning....

To have a replacement meant waiting at least another 30 mins and it might be warm as the head chef was not in! If we have refund we weren’t allowed to eat anything else! We ended up having 6.50 returned out of the £20 it originally cost and we could try to eat the cold food and the sausages were only half cooked! Will NEVER eat there again

Met my friend here for lunch today wasn't overly busy,ordered our food seperatley but straight after each other my friends came in about 20 mins(not a prob)mine still hadnt turned up 15 mins so my friend(now leaving her cold meal)went an asked where it was to be told it was on its way!!! Anyway 10 mins later it arrived but was wrong told the waitress who said that's what i ordered nope my lovely i ordered a sub with chips anyway she went back an 5 mins later same wiatresd came back with a wrap plonked meal on table an walked off!!! Did call but she never eard me so i took my meal back again explained to the manager(i think)who checked an could see yes that's what i ordered.....so he chased it up brought it over i swear not now i had about 7 chips that were cold but after nearly an hours wait i eat it....shame really as i used to like eating here �

The burger patty was raw in the middle...

The bacon on top of the sfc chicken burger was cold...

I, myself had a chicken/bbq melt.... On a double up mind, to see that only 1 piece of chicken had bacon, cheese & sauce.... I sent it back for the order to be finished..... It was reheated.... In the microwave?? �

As if that wasn't enough my bacon added and microwaved was then cold..... And my peas had definitely seen better days.... Shame really as I've eaten in once there before and was OK.... If you're going to endorse freshly cooked, home made meals then I guess you shouldn't be nuking everything.... But that's OK, our group of 4 certainly will NOT be coming back!

Waited nearly an hour for the food to arrive, on arrival the majority of it was cold. Sat waiting in the cold as the only way to get in and out of the beer garden was through the fire doors which were noisy and being opened regularly so it let in lots of cold air. Wouldnt recommend.

Used to love it here for food only cheap but edible and well presented ! Havnt been for a while , but totally different today , had the 10oz gammon , which came out burnt over done egg burnt pineapple and peas with no colour who ever is in the kitchen now clearly shouldn’t be !!!!

Staff were v nice , they changed my meal but it’s put me off going there now to be honest �

Met my friend here for lunch today wasn't overly busy,ordered our food seperatley but straight after each other my friends came in about 20 mins(not a prob)mine still hadnt turned up 15 mins so my friend(now leaving her cold meal)went an asked where it was to be told it was on its way!!! Anyway 10 mins later it arrived but was wrong told the waitress who said that's what i ordered nope my lovely i ordered a sub with chips anyway she went back an 5 mins later same wiatresd came back with a wrap plonked meal on table an walked off!!! Did call but she never eard me so i took my meal back again explained to the manager(i think)who checked an could see yes that's what i ordered.....so he chased it up brought it over i swear not now i had about 7 chips that were cold but after nearly an hours wait i eat it....shame really as i used to like eating here �

Been twice. 1st time we were told an hour wait for hot drinks yet they wernt even busy making them and lots of people had refunds after finishing breakfast and still no drinks. Today we had filthy tray, mug and tea pot and a pretty poor breakfast with about a teaspoon of beans and anaemic sausage and toast. I like to give places a second chance but after 2 poor experiences we won't be returning for breakfast. As a bar it could be great but I don't know.

A group of 4 came in yesterday for lunch.... Well, what can I say? �

The burger patty was raw in the middle...

The bacon on top of the sfc chicken burger was cold...

I, myself had a chicken/bbq melt.... On a double up mind, to see that only 1 piece of chicken had bacon, cheese & sauce.... I sent it back for the order to be finished..... It was reheated.... In the microwave?? �

As if that wasn't enough my bacon added and microwaved was then cold..... And my peas had definitely seen better days.... Shame really as I've eaten in once there before and was OK.... If you're going to endorse freshly cooked, home made meals then I guess you shouldn't be nuking everything.... But that's OK, our group of 4 certainly will NOT be coming back!
