About Inclusion

Inclusion exists to enable and empower individuals to make positive changes. We provide high-quality, evidence-based, innovative substance misuse and mental health services across England in prison and community settings.

Inclusion Description

In 2002 Inclusion was created as part of the award winning South Staffordshire and Shropshire NHS Foundation Trust (SSSFT). It was created to develop and provide evidence based innovative services to beneficiaries across England. At its inception, Inclusion was created to have the flexibility to provide local solutions to local communities but with the governance and commitment to quality of the NHS.

Inclusion has been successful in its endeavours, since 2002 Inclusion has grown to both substance misuse and mental health services in the community, residential and prisons. Inclusion employ over 500 staff, this includes Psychiatrists, counsellors, Doctors, Nurses, Therapists, Drug and Alcohol Recovery Workers, Peer Mentors and Volunteers. We provide mental health and drug and alcohol services to in excess of 19, 000 service users per annum across the Home Counties, the Midlands, East of England up to the North of England.

The range of services we provide allows us to work with our service users in prisons, extending this into community settings, tackling both their substance misuse and mental health concerns. We believe that people can change, a resounding theme of our services that underpins our success is that of being flexible to changing need, not compromising on quality and understanding our responsibility in achieving the best possible outcomes for service users, families and communities.

Inclusion has extensive experience of working alongside and providing services to Clinical Commissioning Groups, Local Authority Public Health Teams, Police and Crime Commissioners, NOMS, NHS England and a broad range of public and voluntary sector institutions. Partnerships are important to us and we work with a range of providers to ensure there is comprehensive packages of care in place for our service users.

We are part of an innovative and forward thinking organisation with an expanding portfolio of services. This means we can offer our staff genuine opportunities to develop their careers, gaining experience working across a number of specialisms. We are renowned for investing in and supporting our employees and have a strong ethos of continuous professional development.

We are one of the HSJ Best Places to Work in 2015. We are Health Service Journal 2016 award winners for our naloxone project. To find out more please visit www. inclusion.org/naloxone

Making changes is never easy, but with support, difficulties can be overcome. Some of our service users shared things they found difficult when they started on their road to #change with their alcohol use. #AAW2018 #AlcoholAwarenessWeek
