Been trying to get someone to cut our sons hair for over a year and today took him to shortcuts in mothercare and OMG he did it and was amazing!!!......our son is non verbal autism and his hair was down his back and in his eyes he now looks like a different child!!!.....thank you to the owner of shortcuts!!!!!!

User

I like it. I went to my local town centre the other day. Now, I hate Pound shops. But seeing quite a few made me weep. I go to Merry Hill and the choice is great. I appreciate that some shops have closed down but that’s not the Centres fault.

Only four stars? I would have given it five but you don’t have a model shop so only four. Hey ho

Took my young children to the big trick or treat...Got there just before it started and only went to a few shops as the others had already ran out of goodies,...left my autism children very upset ... but thank you to the shops that gave and made my children happy!..especially toys r us and the kind young lady for letting my 2 play with the slide

Went to Merry Hill this morning & it's in real decline....lots of cheap and nasty clothes shop and also does anyone else notice the horrendous smell of fried food outside boots on upper floor? Literally made me heave!! I'd rather go to the bullring if I'm honest!

User

I normally love merry hill, but, Intu, you should be ashamed of yourselves!!! The car parks are like skating rinks!!! The Waterfront is worse. To get to my office you have to walk over ice which is 3 inches thick and black ice on the pavements!!!!

User

Very disappointed with Merry Hill for not having anything in place to stop its retailers from selling real fur. In this day and age there is no need for anybody to sell real fur. By allowing the sale of it then you are contributing to the abhorrent pain and suffering these animals go through. Do the right thing like other companies have and BAN real fur after all it is in your building that the fur is sold. Lets do the right thing for the animals and make a difference and show the world that intu is a compassionate company.

The toilets in Asda are filthy I. I sited at 10.45 am so they should have been very clean , horrible won't be using them again

User

Such a shame to see how far down this place has gone. Why would any organisation sully themselves by being associated with the barbaric fur trade. There is no painless non violent way to steal the skin of another being.

Merry Hill please investigate the truth of fur and change your policy.

I wont be shopping here again !

User

Shame on you Intu! There are stores within your centre that are selling cruel and sickening products of real animal furs! There should be strict rules or terms placed by Intu, that safeguards against disgusting cruelty from being publicly sold under everyone's noses. Diffusion, Twenty9 and Sunshine accessories are guilty of this. I don't see why the exploitation of innocent lives should be lining your pockets! Say NO to fur!

User

Really disappointed to see that some of your stores are selling items with real fur. It's sad to see that you are allowing them to make money off such a disgusting trade of animal cruelty. I will be shopping elsewhere and encouraging others to do so also.

User

Only live 3 or 4 miles from Merry Hill and I have seen this place go into steady decline. Went last night (Friday 6th)...... around 7pm it was full of feral kids causing trouble , one group even threw a large and heavy roll of blue paper off the upper floor to the lower floor...... could have hit anyone. Security were no where to be seen..... with all the empty stores, reducing amount of choice and anti social behaviour think I'll be using this place in emergencies only now

User

Just found out that 3 of your shops are selling real fur this Christmas. Have you no guidelines for this kind of thing? Really shocked and disappointed there is no animal welfare policy for products sold at Merry Hill. Companies like Fatface have ditched duck down this year. Have a heart and get with the times.

User

I think that it is utterly abhorrent that you do not have a policy in place to stop stores such as Twenty 9, Diffusion and Sunshine Accessories from selling real fur! These stores should have their leases terminated but ultimately as the owner of the premises they rent you should be held liable and accountable. I will be taking my custom elsewhere and advising others to do the same. Appalling!

User

I lost my purse at merry hill and contacted the shopping centre about it. They replied very fast saying there was nothing to match the description. I have no faith they checked and I lost a very large amount of money. Staff are unhelpful and I hate it.

User

I live on the door step of Merry Hell yes Hell not Hill, place is vile, I use it as my very very last resort to pick up items from M&S.

I would rather get in the car and drive to Birmingham, manchester or London and get a much better choice of shops and places to pick up those one-off items.

Merry Hill has nothing to offer, Eat Central is the most vile eating experience, it’s like a school canteen with very little choice except for over priced food.

Merry Hill has no great department stores, deli’s, boutiques, diverse shops, it’s all main High Street names (what’s left of them)

Intu you need a fresh approach to shopping centres and not cram it full of the same old thing.

I can't believe that there are stores selling real fur. This is animal abuse at it's worse. Animals are bread in cages clubbed over their heads, electrocuted and skinned alive so that we can trim our coats with them. Disgusting and barbaric. Will not be spending money at this place until a ban is put in place. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Diffusion and twenty 9. Shame on you!

User

Do not go to hey potato if you have a baby!!! Today I ordered a jacket potato for lunch and asked if I could have some hot water to make up my baby’s bottle. The owner refused to give me a small amount of hot water in a cup for the bottle. He made me buy a cup of tea and gave me the hot water and tea bag separately. What a joke - I never been charged for hot water before. I will not be going to the food hall again!

User

Disappointed to see that a number of shops in Merry Hill are selling real fur. It's even more disappointing to hear staff peddle misleading and downright untrue statements in attempts to justify this. Whatever they may say, fur is never "ethically sourced" and it is not a by-product of the meat industry: if anything, it is the other way around, with fur pelts commanding higher prices than meat from rabbits, cats, coyotes, etc. I certainly won't be shopping at Merry Hell whilst this sort of trade is allowed to continue there.
