Iqra Centre is a place for Muslims to pray, an accommodating place to learn about Islam, a friendly place for children to learn the Quran, along with a bookshop /library. We currently have five daily prayers with Jamaah. Friday prayers are also held with separate prayer facilities for women, there are lots of activities taking place. Alhamdulillah such a wonderful 10K experience today!
With thousands of runners on the day, the atmosphere was electric. Even when you felt like giving up or slowing down on the inclines, the crowd got behind you to motivate and cheer you on to keep going!
My initial target of £1000 was extraordinarily exceeded through everyones support by reaching a total sum of £1725.14!
... I would like to thank all those who supported me throughout the campaign, both through financial donations and moral support.
In the end I manged to complete the 10K run in 1 hour 10 minutes.... Not bad for a first attempt!
May Allah accept all our efforts in supporting our families across Palestine.

Action from today's Mosque Super League!
Alhamdulillah a wonderful start to our (MSL) Mosque Super League. Iqra hosted Redditch Noor Mosque for a 6-a-side indoor match at the King Henry VIII School, Coventry.
A special welll done to Redditch Noor Mosque who had the edge on the day and took the game away.
More mosque teams are in the pipeline to compete. If you would like to register you mosque or centre, then please get in contact.
Official announcement for the start of Sha'baan 1440AH - 2019
The month of Shaban will start after maghrib TODAY, and its first day will be Sunday 7th April 2019/1440AH.
The 15th night of Sha'ban 'Laylat ul Bara'ah' will be Saturday night 20th April & the rewarding fast will be on Sunday 21st April.
... May Allah make this month a source of blessings and preperation for the month of Ramadhan. Ameen.

Iqra is proud to announce the launch of its unique women's ESOL clssses.
These classes are aimed at women who would like to learn English from scratch, or even brush up on on their reading, writing and speaking skills.
Taught by our expert and enthusiastic ESOL teacher, these free classes are an excellent opportunity for local women to come and learn English in an interactive manner.

Learning From Previous Experiences
Alhamdulillah a very enriching and rewarding experience last night in Coventry. The Iqra volunteers team prepared beds, sleeping blankets, and distributed food and essentials to the homeless. We would like to thank all those whom donated and contributed for the cause, as well as the team who helped on the night.
