We went yesterday for our anniversary. The service by Lucie was the best we have had at a restaurant and she really did make our anniversary special. The calamari was the best my husband has ever tasted and I had to stop him from ordering multiple plates! Great food, great service and we will be going again!

We went here yesterday for lunch and was delicious. The best carbonara I’ve ever had, creamy, loads of garlic and pasta cooked perfectly. My partner had the bolognaise with pork mince which just made the whole dish so much tastier. Was beautiful. Would definitely go again :-)

We came yesterday for my mothers 50th birthday and it was exceptional. As I'm picky and have a few allergies I wasn't sure what to eat on the menu but the waitress who served us helped me find my perfect meal, she was attentive and very good at her job and was always on hand to help! When the birthday cake came a lot of workers stopped what they were doing to come over and sing happy birthday, this made my Mother's Day! So thank you Jamie Oliver's and see you soon!

Visited with a few friends this lunch time and had a fantastic meal. Impeccable service from start to finish. Hannah was very accommodating, providing a high chair and explaining the special. Fantastic, friendly service from Lucy. Amazing food with generous portions.

User

Have to say we love Jamie’s as a go to place for lunch. Food is great and menu changes often so you don’t get bored and the atmosphere is really good. Staff all friendly and helpful. Like the choices the wine buyer makes too!!

Delicious food and very friendly

Staff, even took the time to give our boys a tour of the kitchen! They came back with badges and seeds to grow at home! Very family friendly. Special thanks to Bebiana our lovely waitress Fantastic

Been there first time today with my mum and my daughter, servise was absolutely fantastic!! Staff knows everything a to z, menu variety amazing, a bit of everything and everythings totally different than in other restaurants. Staff was very friendly, and the guy that served us knows his job very well I'd say, as we were a bit picky about wine and changing something in out main meals, there was no problem about it and the wine that he recommended was something that we wanted (even though they didn't have what we wanted). So, popped in for lunch, next time comming back for dinner!!! THANK YOU FOR ALL THE STAFF, your smiles and honesty is exactly what hospitality needs, and you're doing it just fine! See ya next time x

Another fabulous meal last night - the sirloin dry aged steak superb - staff very attentive (not over bearing) and always on hand to top up drinks and help in anyway they can - keep up the good work

User

Went here as we love Jamie but food was just ok. Kids loved it which was good but our food was just ok. Service was good and staff were very happy to help. Will go again in hope food is better next time

User

Went for lunch..not impressed table was sticky, waitress spoke so quickly telling us the specials so had no idea what they were..my husband had the chicken not worth £16 50 and had to pay £4 for fries which were undercooked...won't be returning

User

Overall a nice experience but also very disappointing. First they got my wife’s order wrong and gave her standard pasta instead of gluten free; luckily we noticed their error, then the desserts were well below par. One cheesecake was still frozen in the middle and both gelatos were full of large shards of ice, so obviously defrosted and refrozen. Although the majority of the food was nice and the service very good, it wasn’t the fresh, quality food experience we were expecting or was being marketed

Jamie's Italian is a restaurant my daughter and I have always wanted to try, so what better opportunity than when we were visiting Birmingham for a theatre trip. The atmosphere and the decor was amazing! Really loved the ethos for recycling throughout the whole restaurant! Staff were friendly and attentive. However, the food was slightly disappointing We were excited to try the 2-course set menu - starter was nice (bruschetta & pate). We both went for a pasta dish for main, however the carbonara lacked sauce and was very dry and the pasta in both dishes was gluppy and undercooked in parts. Unfortunately, we didn't opt for a dessert as didn't want to be further disappointed and left the restaurant feeling slightly let down and agreed that we wouldn't rush to go back.

User

It was the first time I had visited the restaurant in Birmingham Bull ring today . I must say I was not really over impressed. The starter was lovely , but the carbonara dish my daughter and myself had , seemed to be warmed up as the pasta was a bit hard and stuck together . The wait for our sweet was nearly half an hour late , we were kept being told our dessert would be out very soon , and yet waited another 10-15 mins !! When the dessert came it was lovely but was overall not to impressed which was a shame

User

Was expecting a lot more - service was poor - attention and engagement with the customer lacking !! Accidentally dropped my glass of bubbles on the floor - no one came until we pointed out - a replacement was ages again until we pointed out we were still waiting ! Quality of Food was poor, been to better Italian restaurants - would not recommend it again - not sure this would be Jamie’s expectation - Q: do you blind visit your restaurants ?

User

The Bolognese was mediocre at best, I'm not a chef but could produce better and there was only about 1 to 2 spoonfuls of ragu in the dish. The squid was also mediocre. Over priced food that was average...This was my first time here and I won't be rushing back.....

User

Our waitress was lovely but the food was mediocre at best. The rocket parmisan salad was bitter and a soggy lump. The seafood linguine was OK but seemed over sauced. I have had better cheescake from Lidl and was so disappointed with the tinned strawberry garnish. A restaurant of this calibre should have used fresh strawberries as they are still in season. Overpriced for quality delivered.

User

Meagre portions. Over priced. Waited ages for drinks. Asked for another round to have with the main meal. Had to chase and still not arrived by the time we had finished. Manager gave a half hearted apology, and I quote 'I offer an apology, its up to you if you accept it'. After further discussion. Bill reduced and the 1st round of drinks taken off the bill. Will not be returning. Jamie Oliver, if thats the standard of your service and food, you can keep it.

User

I’ve been to different branches of Jamie’s Italian and always had a lovely meal - The Birmingham restaurant unfortunately wasn’t a great experience, after 40 minutes wait on the mains we and had to chase it ; had the bolognese and and asked to swap spaghetti for penne pasta ; was told they had run out , when the dish arrived it was very dry because very minimal bolognese sauce on it ; not great at all - furthermore had to wait a long time for the bill and again had to chase it - won’t be returning to this particular restaurant again.
