Monday night choices...

Sunday evening training with a friend and I thought I'd glimpsed a little breakthrough in an aspect of my iaido I'd been working on for a while. Drove home with my hakama on so I could continue training on the cool grass of the back garden. Could I get close to what i'd glimpsed an hour earlier? Nope. It had disappeared as quickly as it had appeared. Probably because I was looking for it. Like one of those floating shapes you see in your eyeball that moves whenever you look at it. Never mind, I can always try again tonight.

Sun (please don't jinx it!), food and drink are good on a bank holiday, but why not mix it up with a little swordplay?
Monday's 8-10pm, Saxon Hall, Hoarwithy road, Hereford.

A great weekend of training in Iaido and Jodo led by Jock Hopson sensei & Alain Bangard sensei.
The first of hopefully many more reciprocal such events, was attended by Jinmukan (Northampton), Kenmukan (Milton Keynes) Kenmeikan (Hereford) and Kuro Inu (Also Hereford). Top food and cakes as well! Thanks to all who took part, it was hugely enjoyable, and some very fun training was had.

Jodo: UK Nationals success for Hereford dojos.
Kenmeikan (Hereford south) and Kuro Inu (Hereford north) dojos find success with a Gold at Shodan for David Griffiths, a Bronze for Mark Thurman and Gold for Mark Snowdon at Nidan, a silver for Kuro Ino in the 2 man team and a fighting spirit award for Mark Thurman and Daniel Silk.
Lastly, a combined 3 man team comprising Kuro Inu and Kenmeikan won Gold in the Asahi cup against some very strong competition. Proud of my fellow He...reford martial artists, a great day of close fights and good friends.
Huge thanks to all the Sensei and those seniors who spent time judging the matches.
