We are a family run dispensing chemist that can be dated back to 1866 as we are listed in the Edward Cassey And Co’s Directory of Shropshire.

As your local community pharmacy, we can offer a wide range of
services and facilities for you and your family.

Dispensing
We dispense NHS prescriptions and will give advice on how to get the most benefit from your medicines. We keep a comprehensive stock of medicines and use a fast and an efficient wholesaler service to enable us to fill all prescriptions promptly.

EPS (Electronic Prescription Service)
By nominating Kitching’s Chemist for EPS it will allow your GP to send us your NHS prescription electronically (please ask for more details on this service).

Repeat Dispensing
We can dispense NHS repeat dispensing
prescriptions issued by your doctor. Please ask for more details.

Medicine Containers
All medicines are dispensed in child resistant containers unless you request us not to. Please remember: keep all medicines out of reach and sight of children.
Our pharmacist can advise you on safe storage of medicines.

NHS Unwanted Medicines
Please return all unwanted medicines to the pharmacy where we will dispose of them safely.

Repeat Prescription Collection Service
We offer a FREE repeat prescription collection service from all Telford surgeries. Please ask for details.

Prescription Delivery Service
We offer a FAST, FREE & FRIENDLY prescription delivery service. Deliveries are between 1pm and 5pm Monday to Friday and can be delivered to your home, workplace, or other location within Telford as requested. Prescriptions are usually delivered the day after we receive them.

Medicines Sales
We keep a wide range of over the counter medicines and also vitamins and mineral supplements and herbal remedies.

Holiday Healthcare
We can advise on medical requirements for travellers, including anti-malaria treatments.

Emergency Supplies
If you need one of your regular medicines in an emergency, we may be able to help so please call us. We must stress that this can only be done in genuine emergencies and it may incur a charge.

Kitching's Chemist may be able to provide a free NHS jab if you are registered with a GP in England or Wales, are aged 18 or over, and you:... • Are aged 65 or over (or will turn 65 by 31 March 2020) • Are pregnant • Are a health or social care worker working in a residential or a nursing home, a hospice or with a home care provider • Are a resident of a nursing or residential home • Share a household with someone who has an impaired immune system • Have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 40 or more Care for someone whose welfare may be at risk if you fall ill. Carer status may include: • People aged 18 or over who are in receipt of a carer's allowance • Those aged 18 or over who are the main carer for an elderly or disabled person Have a certain medical condition such as: • Diabetes • Lung disease, including asthma if you're on a preventer inhaler • Heart, kidney or liver conditions • Lowered immunity due to disease (such as HIV) or treatment (for example steroid medication or cancer treatment) or you have had your spleen removed • Long-term neurological conditions such as Parkinson's disease or multiple sclerosis
