Our reminiscence work has become a particular focus in terms of projects. We have visited:
The Church of the Risen Christ day centre in Wyken Coventry where we facilitated the creation of individual memory books and boxes comprised of the group members personal photographs and belongings.
University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire where we tried to alleviate patient isolation
The Rose Centre in Spon End Coventry where we ran a regular Memory Cafe
We are currently involved at:
Godiva Lodge residential care home in Stoke Heath Coventry where we are delivering a structured programme of Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) to residents with dementia and memory issues in an attempt to provide some variation to their activities and also to alleviate some of their symptoms
We are also running a Memory Cafe at the Haggard Centre in Willenhall, Coventry
