Went tonight for the first time with friends. We were all very impressed with the food choices and quality. The decor is very nice, the place is clean and tidy and well lit, music at a reasonable volume so could have a good chat while we ate. Will be going again very soon and looking forward to it. Thanks to all the staff at Kung Fu!

Visited today with my Husband for his birthday (lunch time) It really is a beautiful restaurant! s

The staff are all very polite, attentive & welcoming! The food - could not fault it! Delicious! We will definately be returning - probably for an evening meal when the whole of the restaurant is open & when we can try the chocolate fountain too!

User

Seen the reviews and decided to not judge it until i tried it myself. And thank god I went on my own judgment because it was amazing. Some many different dishes. All super tasty and nicely cooked. Service was great nice and polite staff. A welcoming atmosphere, I wasn't cold one bit. Even the desert buffet is to die for. My boyfriend is very picky in regards to food and he loved it and really enjoyed trying new foods. Can't wait to go back.

User

From the moment we arrived we experienced excellent service.

The decor and furniture is beautiful. Most of all the food was superb, fantastic array of dishes to choice from and all perfectly presented and all tasted amazing.

A wonderful experience had by all with the best customer service given by staff.

Highly recommended.

User

Excellent, don't hesitate, well worth a visit. All the food was tasty, plenty on offer, couldn't go wrong - not a bad word to say. All the staff were friendly, polite and efficent, but a special mention for the greeter - despite, being a really busy Saturday night (and we hadn't booked), she found us a table, talked us through how it worked, and what was on offer. Highly recommended

User

Can't wait to go back. I took my wife and kids there for my wife's birthday and all four of us loved it. Great food lovely staff and the birthday cake was an unexpected treat too

User

After hearing a few mixed reviews we thought we would try for ourselves and visited yesterday afternoon for the lunch time buffet. We can honestly say that the staff were outstanding and very helpful and the food was lovely. We had our young baby with us and one waiter was very helpful to find us a spacious table with enough room and very friendly. I would highly recommend it and we will be visiting again x

User

After all the bad reviews I heard I was very nervous about Coming. But damn we missed out big time. Fresh seafood and everything tasted amazing. Huge fan of the bbq bar. Maybe a lower price would be better but worth it. I would come again and again.. And again

User

Absolutely loved the food. Quite pleasantly surprised after seeing all the negative reviews. I would recommend for lovely atmosphere great service. Variety of food. Love the fact they serve sushi and I fell in love with the mini deserts which were mouth watering οΏ½

User

Very enjoyable. By far one of the best Chinese buffets I've been too. With so much choice. The lamb chops and lamb of the grill was to die for. Absolutely fantastic. Definitely will be going back.

User

The place was fab, huge selection of food and all very tasty. Would have given it a five, but the food was not always hot enough. Get this right and would have posted a 5.

User

My wife and I went dinner time and the food was reasonable with fast service from those attending.

Apart from the decor it is similar to what was the Angel Chef.

Menu was limited dinner hour but still a nice selection deserts very lacking.

Would go again.

User

Great choice but the some of the food was slightly over cooked and a lot of the dishes were not very hot just slightly warm the serving spoons were left in so leaving lids open which I think made the food colder perhaps if they put the spoons at the side of each dish it would be hotter food sad to say would not recommend this place will be returning to the place I always go to I also think kids meals should be based on age not height

User

We went this evening as a group and weren't sure what to expect as in our experience lots of all you can eat buffets tend to be quite low quality, with food left out for long periods of time etc. We never expect 5* quality from these sorts of places but honestly, Kung Fu is the worst oriental buffet restaurant I have ever been to.

The food was all cold, unless you ordered from one of the two live cooking stations. Anything that came in a sauce (curry, sweet and sour chicken, Thai curry etc) was clearly watered down. Most dishes tasted very bland (including the Peking duck) and unfortunately two of my chicken satay skewers were not properly cooked and the meat was slightly pink and jelly like inside.

The chocolate fountain worked intermittently but our children tried it and for the first time ever refused to eat any more, claiming it was disgusting. We tried the chocolate - it was low quality, oily and watered down.

There was quite a large selection of dishes. It everything was congealing under heat lamps. Even the chips had turned to oily mush. I am quite a fan of a nice Thai curry and rice but today I had to resort to plain breaded chicken and plain rice.

A friend of ours visited before Christmas and said it was really good food although he restaurant attempted to overcharge her. Tonight they also tried to overcharge us, adding extra adults on to the bill. The drinks are very expensive - often are though at buffets - but in general the whole place was cold, no atmosphere (appreciate it's a Thursday night!) and just really poor quality.

Would definitely never go back. Our parents have refused to eat there again. For Β£15 a head it's a rip off. Sorry to leave such a bad review οΏ½ I hope things improve as we would certainly go back as a family if the quality was good and the food was at least warm!

User

Visited yesterday with my partner and I've never been so disappointed in all my life. How the hell is there food hygiene rating a 5 when the chef walked round in ripped jeans and no hat on. Poor choice of food as there was nothing left when we went to plate up. My teeth were actually hurting from chewing the pork. Our waiter was also rude and didn't seem to want to be there. Not even a smile. Never visiting this place again. Take my advice and stick to Flames on Foregate Street

User

Took my daughter for lunch today as a treat, thought we would try as had seen many mixed reviews.

Went in and was sat at a table for two, but was so crammed in, you had to disturb other diners to get passed, (was sat in the middle tables,) when there’s a bigger space to the restaurant round the other side.

Well, what can I say in regards to the food, some was cold, the meat (beef in black bean sauce) was so chewy I thought I was eating a piece of leather, the chicken curry was ok at least it was hot and the chicken was actually quite moist, the salt and pepper prawns were battered with the salt and pepper but still had the shells on, when I queried this I was told that they were soft shells and quite edible depending on your personal preference..... never heard that one before!

The veggie section was actually decent, rice and noodles ok.

It’s not somewhere I will be visiting again, I’ve tried, disliked and will definitely not recommending any one to try, don’t waste your money.

Β£24 for 2 refillable drinks and buffet.

Disappointed....

User

Thought we would pop in for a quick and easy option for lunch today and really wish we hadn't bothered. The food (what there was left of it) was luke warm at very best and most dishes were bland and watery. The prawn toast was inedible and so greasy it made all of us feel sick. I know these all you can eat buffet is budget dining and I don't expect them to be fine dining....but edible food would be a good start! The only bonus was the staff were very helpful, attentive and friendly and considering it was half term and full of kids the restaurant was impecibly tidy! Wish I could have said the same for the loo however...overflowing toilets and water everywhere! We will not be returning.

User

Just travelled 50 mile round trip 2 visit this place, wish we hadn't have bothered!!! Food was cold and not replenished we paid 16.99 each and was not worth Β£5 my 6 year old loves chinese food but even he refused to eat it! When we complained he told us food is cold because they were quiet!!!

User

I think it was absolutely a joke for what the prices of it are we paid nearly 36 pounds for 2 people like what the hell and I found a hair in the soup and then in my bowl prawns where like rubber they cake there food in garlic which makes it over powering

The deserts where vile they seem to try and justify everything with cream which makes then sickly the fondu tasted gone off chocolate and the cakes where dry they tried to palm off a strawberry sponge with a smartie and jellys were like water

And as we were eating the whole of kitchen and front of house staff were eating what was left while we was still eating our mains it put me off eating any more

The only nice thing I had was the cocktail but they are pretty straight forward

And they didn't even give us any money off our bill to justify finding hair in the food

The hygine of the place is disgusting I would not eat there again if someone paid me
