Friday is the start of the summer touch tournament. The first game is at Longton 6.30 arrival for 7.00 start.
Please can you confirm you availability by Wednesday so I can sort mixed teams out. ... To confirm players must be 15 or over or the will not be able to play. Coaches please can you help me manage the age restrictions.

We’ve put together a pre season fitness programme with cave fitness as well as the usual core skills training.

With England playing tonight I have slightly changed the time of tonight’s touch training.
The session will be between 7pm-8pm and Anna will be showing the football on itv+1.
There is a fresh lasagne and chips and a pint for £6 while you’re watching the game.
... This is the last training session before the tournament starts next week. Be good to see you all there.

Hi All,
Firstly can we thank club members from all sections who volunteered their time this past Nat West weekend where many painting and maintenance jobs have been completed .
This will continue over the summer period with support of the probation service .
... On Sat 23.6, ex England World Cup winner , Neil Back ,also supported the day with some painting , a Question and Answer session along with some coaching . I think you will agree from members ,who attended ,his attendance and support was well received and he highlighted the influence of community rugby. (We made the England Rugby website.)
In relation to events during the next 7 days at the club
Thurs 28.6 - bar open at 6 pm for the showing of England v Belgium ko 7
Further updates will be provided around opening times around future games once we have more information.
Fri 29.6- monthly quiz night bar open from 6 , quiz from 730pm
Teams of 6 at £1pp incl chip butty

Over the coming weeks further work will continue in the clubhouse and outfield to ensure we keep making improvements for all sections and the private hire so please bear with us .
Reminder please consider the hire of the venue for any private and team functions during the summer , contact Anna to make a booking .
Please keep watching the club Facebook and website as events are already planned for sept 18 which will include a Cider and Sausage festival and silent disco all in a Tipi located at the club during the weekend of 8-10 Sept .Tickets will go on sale from 1.7.18 .

Touch rugby update from our Director Of Rugby
A reminder that touch rugby training continues tomorrow at the club from 7.30pm.
We had a few queries last week about the age of players able to take part. Having spoken to the RFU players must be over 15, however, I have made the decision that if 14-15 year olds want to train under my supervision I am happy for them to do so. But they will not be able to play the games that form part of the summer series of games.
... We had a great turn out last week with over 35 people training, I hope to see you all tomorrow.

Its an excellent club. The coaches are great with the kids. The players are taught respect and discipline while having fun with their friends! Brilliant way of building a childs self confidence.

If you love rugby and good company this is the club to visit.

If Carlsberg made a Rugby Club.......

Went to a match with Winnington Park U13 girls against Leek and Sandbach. Great afternoon. Welcoming and the girls chips and hotdogs were great

My first League game as a referee .. made very welcome .. met by a club official escorted to changing room (very adequate) and to the pitch. Public appreciation from the 1st XV captain for the officials, fees paid promptly and offered a complementary beer and refreshments. Both teams very disciplined along with coaches and spectators. A very enjoyable experience.
