what a fabulously relaxing day we spent here yesterday. Couldn't fault a thing staff were really nice and friendly, facilities were excellent, the 3 course lunch was delicious & good value, the rasul mud chamber was amazing the pool area great the relaxation rooms did the job. thanks all for a fabulous day :-)

What a wonderful day myself and friends had yesterday while enjoying our spa day for my special birthday, which my friends booked as a gift. We had the most amazing day......spa was so relaxing with friendly staff who were happy to help with anything we needed. It's so lovely to be able to sit and relax in various places around spa, including the lovely outside areas, and enjoy the various fruit teas and dried fruits and nuts. Our lunch in Nico's restaurant was so tasty with plenty of choice of either cold or hot foods...think we tried everything but sadly left no room for puds, all washed down with a jug of pimms and some cava. Staff were friendly and welcoming and I would like to give Kieran (our barman) an extra mention as he was such a pleasant young man with great customer skills, nothing was too much trouble, he was very efficient and very courteous and a credit to your company. We had such an amazing day that when spa day ended we even had a quick drink in Waterside Bar before heading home. We look forward to returning very soon.....thank you all.

We visited for our 10th wedding anniversary and have got to say it was a great experience. We started off by visiting the spa which was very good the thermal suite was really warm like stepping into a bath. We both had a scalp massage treatment included in the offer and it was very relaxing. The 3 course meal that was part of the offer at the restaurant was excellent, the staff were really friendly throughout and we will definitely be returning at a later stage. Thankyou

We had the most wonderful day at the spa yesterday, all the ladies working there were so pleasant and helpful, the facilities are superb and it was immaculately clean everywhere. I would like to thank my therapist Beth who did my vitamin glow facial, she was extremely professional and explained to me a good beauty regime that would suit my skin, she wrote it all down for me and as a result I brought the products as she gave me the confidence to know how to use them. The lady who did my make under was also excellent and helped match my skin tone perfectly and taught me how to go about applying the make up myself, unfortunately the colours I needed were out of stock for me to purchase but she is going to call me when they arrive which I look forward to. Can’t wait to come back again soon, Sarah xx

This was our first visit to LQ and it won't be the last. Lovely reception staff...they're the first people you meet when you enter the hotel and the ladies were lovely. Outside seating very nice. Views lovely, good range of drinks etc. Lunch , had the Italian platter, good, evenin meal lovely. Staff are so well mannered and polite hats off to them!

Our room was on the 2nd floor overlooking the canal...what can I say....beautiful Views, very clean, and fresh. Breakfast today (sunday)...anything you wanted was there.

This is our second stay at lion quays, we came for our 25th wedding anniversary 4 years ago and this time for a 3 night belated valentine treat. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is wonderful. We have made full use of the spa and pool again. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, well maintained and well stocked with even hot chocolate for those of us that don’t drink tea or coffee. It seems unfortunate for those who commented on bad service but we have nothing to complain about.

This has been about the fourth or fifth time we have returned to lion quays. Each time we have visited we have had an excellent experience, and can not fault anything. The spa itself is lovely and the staff are really friendly, we have had some great treatments over our visits! the rooms have always been lovely, spacious and clean, and the restaurant food has always been great! The breakfast is brilliant, and overall good value for money! We will definitely return again!

My wife and I had a whole day in the spa. We had a warm welcome from staff , then we had the Quay to Serenity treatment which was excellent. The girls who did the treatment were very good and friendly. Lunch in Nico s had a great choice. We loved the hydro pool. We then checked into our double room at the hotel which was very clean , modern and spacious. The balcony looking out to the canal was lovely. Breakfast was self service, everything was hot and fresh. Reception staff were very friendly too. This was our anniversary treat and overall it was a 5star experience. We shall definitely be returning.

We cannot praise the staff enough for the service they give even when some guests frankly are so rude to them. Food has always been beautiful and plenty full, the only thing that tinged our visit was the snow cave being out of action and for us this happened last year too, may sound a small thing to most but as we save all year round to come we like to be able to access everything. Again thanks to the staff for their service �

Just attended a night away with my twin sister followed by her hen party at the spa and have to say it was just amazing! Right from the friendly receptionist booking us into our lovely room, which overlooked the barges sailing by, through to our delicious meal at the country club and our full day at the spa with buffet lunch at Nico’s, we were spoilt rotten! Thank you Lion Quays, we’ve made some fantastic memories this weekend and will be back! � x

I don’t even know where to start on the fabulous weekend we have just had with yourselves, 11 of us have came Friday to Sunday for my hen weekend! All staff have been amazing couldn’t do enough for us! On Friday we checked in with Vicky who was so helpful with booking tables for us and sorting treatments over at the spa ect! We then had the ladies evening to go to which was the best night out in a long time, food was delicious, staff again couldn’t do enough for us including getting us midnight snacks and serving our late night drinks until 2am! Saturday we had a full day in the spa which was very relaxing even though they had a number of other big parties in you wouldn’t have known because there are so many different places you can sit and chill out and so many different facilities you can use all 11 of us had treatments and they were all fantastic! (One thing I would say is you need more pictures on your Facebook page/ website of the spa the ones you have don’t do it justice your relaxation rooms and ample seating areas are what lots of big groups look for so they know they can all sit to chill out together) the buffet lunch in Nicos was lovely very fresh and replenished all the time! Saturday evening we had a three course meal in our package so we could do a set meal or spend so much of the menu 11 starters, mains and desserts and not one complaint it was delicious! Staff again were fantastic coming over lots to check on us and taking drinks orders and an added touch they brought an extra dessert plate over with congratulations on it for myself which was very thoughtful! Thats just leave us with Sunday breakfast which was delicious and check out was very quick we honestly didn’t want to leave and all left on a high planning our next visit! Thank you so much to you all for making my hen weekend so memorable you were all so easy going, helpful and bloody wonderful! A special mention to Callum who I know Friday was his last shift before he goes off travelling so good luck to you � James the manager who could not have done enough for us on Friday, Matthew behind the bar Friday and Saturday evening who stayed until near 3am while we sat chatting and drinking! Abby the manager on Saturday evening in the restaurant you really looked after us all and were happy to accommodate a rowdy hen group, last but certainly not least vicky on reception you really were so helpful you are a true asset to a brilliant team there were lots of other staff who too who were all helpful and happy to chat I know Ive said already but thank you so much for a perfect weekend ��

Decided to stop for breakfast here this morning and it ended up making our morning!

Not only was the breakfast delicious but the staff were the friendliest we’ve experienced in a long while �.

A gentleman who worked in the main restaurant went out of his way to carry my daughters plate, lift each dish lid and help her choose what she wanted. I’m gutted I didn’t think to get his name but thank you so much �

Will definitely be returning more frequently....

Attended my sister's wedding over the weekend and I can honestly say the staff are lovely, a very special thanks to Matthew one of the mangers for all he done with trying to adapt to my child's needs it was much appreciated he made sure we had all we needed and more he couldn't do enough for us so thank you x

My mum and I went yesterday for a spa day,it was amazing! The staff were fantastic and the treatments were amazing too! Yes the pool was cold,but after you did a few lengths you soon warmed up. The choice of food in the buffet was brilliant too. We both thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing day their and will definitely be going back!

must say I did enjoy my experience however there have been a few faults with customer service and the decor. I believe there is lack of communication between the hotel and spa staff. I asked the hotel staff whether we get gowns and shoes for our spa treatment and they said it's an extra cost. Furthermore I was told different times on when my treatment was in the hotel which concerned me. I went straight to the spa area accross the road and they did reasure me that gowns and shoes are included and the times corresponded with what I arranged over the phone. Lastly parts of the hotel and spa area looked really tired and dated such as the bar area and the hotel room. Overall I did enjoy my experience and staff are very friendly. Good choice of delicious foods for evening, breakfast and lunch and felt very relaxed after my mum-to-be massage. There have been many complaints on the boiler not working so the pool was too cold etc. During my visit this was not the case so they must of fixed the fault. My partner did not complain as I couldnt use some of the facilities being pregnant. The prices of what you get is very good so I do recommend a visit.

Nice place situated next to the Shropshire Union canal with nice views across fields. Being around 15 years old it is starting to show signs of a need for a refit. On a very hot evening it was particularly noticeable that without air conditioning the rooms were particularly hot and uncomfortable to sleep in. It was noticeable that the fixtures and fitting were showing signs of wear and tear, looking a bit tied and in need of a bit of tlc. Our room was quiet small and the bathroom tiny. For the money we paid for the room we are used to getting better rooms for our buck so it appears that the cost of the rooms are inflated due to having a spa on site. Friendly helpful staff and good breakfast so overall a decent place to stay especially if you want to use the Spa.

The swimming pool was cold, the food in the restaurant was less than average, my burger was burnt, dry & crumbling! The glass I used had stains as well as lip prints around the rim! The staff in the hotel were nice, the restaurant staff were not very friendly or welcoming, bar 1 or 2. Jacuzzi was nice & hot, sauna was satisfactory.

My friends and I visited last month for a spa day last month and the hydrotherapy pool and jacuzzi were so cold that we had to complain. As an apology we were invited to return again free of charge. We arrived yesterday and booked in, we straight away noticed a damp musty smell in the spa itself and the pool once again too cold to be in. The manager was fantastic and apologetic again and did give us a mid rasul experience on the house but we still left very disappointed with our day..

I have been to the Lion Quays many times including nights away with my husband, days with friends and my sisters hen party but I don’t think I will be back. I

The thermal suite itself used to be warm and steamy and now just feels cold and a bit smelly.

I feel (and from talking to other guests I am not alone) that the place needs to close for major refurbishment.

All in all not a relaxing experience..

Furthermore I was told different times on when my treatment was in the hotel which concerned me. I went straight to the spa area accross the road and they did reasure me that gowns and shoes are included and the times corresponded with what I arranged over the phone. Lastly parts of the hotel and spa area looked really tired and dated such as the bar area and the hotel room. Overall I did enjoy my experience and staff are very friendly. Good choice of delicious foods for evening, breakfast and lunch and felt very relaxed after my mum-to-be massage. There have been many complaints on the boiler not working so the pool was too cold etc. During my visit this was not the case so they must of fixed the fault. My partner did not complain as I couldnt use some of the facilities being pregnant. The prices of what you get is very good so I do recommend a visit.

Nice place situated next to the Shropshire Union canal with nice views across fields. Being around 15 years old it is starting to show signs of a need for a refit. On a very hot evening it was particularly noticeable that without air conditioning the rooms were particularly hot and uncomfortable to sleep in. It was noticeable that the fixtures and fitting were showing signs of wear and tear, looking a bit tied and in need of a bit of tlc. Our room was quiet small and the bathroom tiny. For the money we paid for the room we are used to getting better rooms for our buck so it appears that the cost of the rooms are inflated due to having a spa on site. Friendly helpful staff and good breakfast so overall a decent place to stay especially if you want to use the Spa.

The swimming pool was cold, the food in the restaurant was less than average, my burger was burnt, dry & crumbling! The glass I used had stains as well as lip prints around the rim! The staff in the hotel were nice, the restaurant staff were not very friendly or welcoming, bar 1 or 2. Jacuzzi was nice & hot, sauna was satisfactory.

My friends and I visited last month for a spa day last month and the hydrotherapy pool and jacuzzi were so cold that we had to complain. As an apology we were invited to return again free of charge. We arrived yesterday and booked in, we straight away noticed a damp musty smell in the spa itself and the pool once again too cold to be in. The manager was fantastic and apologetic again and did give us a mid rasul experience on the house but we still left very disappointed with our day..

The thermal suite itself used to be warm and steamy and now just feels cold and a bit smelly.

I feel (and from talking to other guests I am not alone) that the place needs to close for major refurbishment.

All in all not a relaxing experience..

what a fabulously relaxing day we spent here yesterday. Couldn't fault a thing staff were really nice and friendly, facilities were excellent, the 3 course lunch was delicious & good value, the rasul mud chamber was amazing the pool area great the relaxation rooms did the job. thanks all for a fabulous day :-)

What a wonderful day myself and friends had yesterday while enjoying our spa day for my special birthday, which my friends booked as a gift. We had the most amazing day......spa was so relaxing with friendly staff who were happy to help with anything we needed. It's so lovely to be able to sit and relax in various places around spa, including the lovely outside areas, and enjoy the various fruit teas and dried fruits and nuts. Our lunch in Nico's restaurant was so tasty with plenty of choice of either cold or hot foods...think we tried everything but sadly left no room for puds, all washed down with a jug of pimms and some cava. Staff were friendly and welcoming and I would like to give Kieran (our barman) an extra mention as he was such a pleasant young man with great customer skills, nothing was too much trouble, he was very efficient and very courteous and a credit to your company. We had such an amazing day that when spa day ended we even had a quick drink in Waterside Bar before heading home. We look forward to returning very soon.....thank you all.

We both had a scalp massage treatment included in the offer and it was very relaxing. The 3 course meal that was part of the offer at the restaurant was excellent, the staff were really friendly throughout and we will definitely be returning at a later stage. Thankyou

We had the most wonderful day at the spa yesterday, all the ladies working there were so pleasant and helpful, the facilities are superb and it was immaculately clean everywhere. I would like to thank my therapist Beth who did my vitamin glow facial, she was extremely professional and explained to me a good beauty regime that would suit my skin, she wrote it all down for me and as a result I brought the products as she gave me the confidence to know how to use them. The lady who did my make under was also excellent and helped match my skin tone perfectly and taught me how to go about applying the make up myself, unfortunately the colours I needed were out of stock for me to purchase but she is going to call me when they arrive which I look forward to. Can’t wait to come back again soon, Sarah xx

This was our first visit to LQ and it won't be the last. Lovely reception staff...they're the first people you meet when you enter the hotel and the ladies were lovely. Outside seating very nice. Views lovely, good range of drinks etc. Lunch , had the Italian platter, good, evenin meal lovely. Staff are so well mannered and polite hats off to them!

Our room was on the 2nd floor overlooking the canal...what can I say....beautiful Views, very clean, and fresh. Breakfast today (sunday)...anything you wanted was there.

This is our second stay at lion quays, we came for our 25th wedding anniversary 4 years ago and this time for a 3 night belated valentine treat. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is wonderful. We have made full use of the spa and pool again. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, well maintained and well stocked with even hot chocolate for those of us that don’t drink tea or coffee. It seems unfortunate for those who commented on bad service but we have nothing to complain about.

This has been about the fourth or fifth time we have returned to lion quays. Each time we have visited we have had an excellent experience, and can not fault anything. The spa itself is lovely and the staff are really friendly, we have had some great treatments over our visits! the rooms have always been lovely, spacious and clean, and the restaurant food has always been great! My wife and I had a whole day in the spa. We had a warm welcome from staff , then we had the Quay to Serenity treatment which was excellent. The girls who did the treatment were very good and friendly. Lunch in Nico s had a great choice. We loved the hydro pool. We then checked into our double room at the hotel which was very clean , modern and spacious. The balcony looking out to the canal was lovely. Breakfast was self service, everything was hot and fresh. Reception staff were very friendly too. This was our anniversary treat and overall it was a 5star experience. We shall definitely be returning.

Just attended a night away with my twin sister followed by her hen party at the spa and have to say it was just amazing! Right from the friendly receptionist booking us into our lovely room, which overlooked the barges sailing by, through to our delicious meal at the country club and our full day at the spa with buffet lunch at Nico’s, we were spoilt rotten! Thank you Lion Quays, we’ve made some fantastic memories this weekend and will be back! � x

I don’t even know where to start on the fabulous weekend we have just had with yourselves, 11 of us have came Friday to Sunday for my hen weekend! All staff have been amazing couldn’t do enough for us! On Friday we checked in with Vicky who was so helpful with booking tables for us and sorting treatments over at the spa ect! We then had the ladies evening to go to which was the best night out in a long time, food was delicious, staff again couldn’t do enough for us including getting us midnight snacks and serving our late night drinks until 2am! Saturday we had a full day in the spa which was very relaxing even though they had a number of other big parties in you wouldn’t have known because there are so many different places you can sit and chill out and so many different facilities you can use all 11 of us had treatments and they were all fantastic! (One thing I would say is you need more pictures on your Facebook page/ website of the spa the ones you have don’t do it justice your relaxation rooms and ample seating areas are what lots of big groups look for so they know they can all sit to chill out together) the buffet lunch in Nicos was lovely very fresh and replenished all the time! Saturday evening we had a three course meal in our package so we could do a set meal or spend so much of the menu 11 starters, mains and desserts and not one complaint it was delicious! Staff again were fantastic coming over lots to check on us and taking drinks orders and an added touch they brought an extra dessert plate over with congratulations on it for myself which was very thoughtful! Thats just leave us with Sunday breakfast which was delicious and check out was very quick we honestly didn’t want to leave and all left on a high planning our next visit! Thank you so much to you all for making my hen weekend so memorable you were all so easy going, helpful and bloody wonderful! A special mention to Callum who I know Friday was his last shift before he goes off travelling so good luck to you � James the manager who could not have done enough for us on Friday, Matthew behind the bar Friday and Saturday evening who stayed until near 3am while we sat chatting and drinking! Decided to stop for breakfast here this morning and it ended up making our morning!

Not only was the breakfast delicious but the staff were the friendliest we’ve experienced in a long while �.

A gentleman who worked in the main restaurant went out of his way to carry my daughters plate, lift each dish lid and help her choose what she wanted. I’m gutted I didn’t think to get his name but thank you so much �

Will definitely be returning more frequently....

Attended my sister's wedding over the weekend and I can honestly say the staff are lovely, a very special thanks to Matthew one of the mangers for all he done with trying to adapt to my child's needs it was much appreciated he made sure we had all we needed and more he couldn't do enough for us so thank you x

My mum and I went yesterday for a spa day,it was amazing! The staff were fantastic and the treatments were amazing too! Yes the pool was cold,but after you did a few lengths you soon warmed up. The choice of food in the buffet was brilliant too. We both thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing day their and will definitely be going back!
