This is the largest of the City's Area Parks and serves the North of the city. It is a well established holding a Green Flag Award.

House key found this afternoon by the bin at the Longford Road entrance. It had 2 tags, one red and blue and a photo. handed into the Premier convince store on Longford Square. Hope the owner gets it back!
Seems one or two idiots have decided to damage park equiptment last night, the clean up crews have been out but this is really sad.
Many children enjoy this equiptment and funding isn't always available to replace or restore.

We are currently looking into putting together a couple of advertising items for Longford Park and we would like your help!!
We are interested to see what photos people have of the park! Some of the Friends of Longford Park have seen some great photos, especially with the snow we have had!

Who wants to come on a pre-christmas walk with us?
Every 3rd sunday of the month we have a group walk around the park following the magic mile footprints.
Our next one falls on this sunday 17/12/2017. And we've decided we want to get in a christmas mood, so we would like to see as many walkers dressed up a christmas theme!!
... It starts at 10am, meeting by the changing rooms on windmill road.

LONGFORD PARK COVENTRY, DOES NOT HAVE A FIREWORKS DISPLAY TONIGHT.
How ever if enough volunteers come forward we can look to organise one next year.

As previously reported we have had a small group of youths making a menace within the park, Our local police are doing what they can but due to the lack of resources, they are currently having to task officers to priority areas, meaning areas with high number of logged incidents, and although Longford Park is having issues with ASB there are not enough reports going to the Police for them to act.
If Park users do see some criminal activity / ASB in the Park, it would help the... Police if they call 101 obvioulsy from a safe distance or out of sight of the of those causing the problems.
Stay safe and please help if you can.

Festival of lights fireworks
Fireworks nearly ready to go. Hopefully within the next few minutes.
A message from our parks team manager.
"We have a quote for repairing the vandalised charging points on the new gym equipment of approx. £1200.
I have asked the parks team to go ahead this time, but if they are vandalised again we will have to remove the charging points as we cannot afford to keep replacing them."
... It is a shame that this has happened and that a small group could spoil fun and fitness for so many...
If anyone has any information please report via the police on 101...

The park is exceptionally good except the dogs � �
The additional fitness equipment installed this year means that you've got everything you need for a really good workout, even if you're getting on a bit. You've always been able to walk or run in the park, but the fitness equipment means you can have a great workout in the fresh air without the cost of gym fees. I love it. Well done Friends of Longford Park and Coventry City Council - great park!
Really nice place for kids and adults to have family time
One of Coventrys Green Flag award winning parks, great for all, providing free parking, kids park, football pitch, caged basketball/football/tennis, nice ramps for skateboarding or bmxing. Hosting events throughout the year. Dog friendly although asked to be on leads. Willow walk and flower beds are well maintained if a little uneven under foot. Well maintained. Always worth a visit.
Lovely clean tidy park. Lots of equipment for grandchildren to play on . X

It's a great park for everybody to use! And it's always well looked after!!
I really like this place.Its the best park ive seen so far.Good for both children and adults for relaxation and outdoor fun.
Having a 14 week old Border terrior who loves his run around@[162239873786189:Longford Park] was great too just let him roam in the dog friendly areas.... lease free� 2 days and 3 walks excellent area to stretch Arnold's legs..... also the sowe footpath runs along side the park.... An excellent play area for under and over 55's lol. A new gym area has also been installed, fantasic swings and slide... loads of open green space and parking off Longford Rd.... loads of entrances and access for pushchairs & wheelchairs ..... a bit different from when I grew up the park had bowling greens and tennis courts.... easly do a five mile walk .... #Gorgeous

Great Park...my kids and dogs love it! Lots to do !
Excellent facility in Coventry a walk as well as exercise or relaxation.
A nice clean park and well maintained and no poo problems
Use park a bit as we live near like new exercise park :)

My dog just found a sausage that was buried under a pile of grass by a tree. Seems odd but possibly planted with poison or why would it be hidden . Be vigilant
I enjoyed the outdoor gym 5* for that.
Was not impressed with having to clean dog mess of the scooter wheels there was also quite abit of rubbish scattered about.
The daffodills are beautiful .
