We have had another fantastic week at Los Reyes ! Enjoying seeing so many lovely people. Thank you to everyone for your support. We have also had visits from some special and loyal guests from Raglan which was very heart warming. Our wine cellar is getting full again, and we will be adding more, come and have a look. We also want to announce that we will be open for Benni’s Famous Sunday roast lunch from Sunday September 23rd. We will be offering a one or two course traditional Sunday lunch, lamb, beef, pork and chicken served with veg all the trimmings, Starter and main course for £13.95 or £10.95 if you prefer just a main course, Dessert optional £4.50. Bookings are being taken now. Hope to see you soon.

We are enjoying the overwhelming response and support of everyone who have visited us during our first week as new owners, it has been amazing seeing everyone again. Beni is doing a great job in the kitchen, he is so proud and honoured you are all enjoying his freshly cooked tapas, and he loves to come out and meet everyone whenever he can, just ask and I will always try and arrange for him to come and say hello to you at the table whenever possible. We want to make Los R...eyes a fun, exciting, relaxed, safe place for everyone to enjoy, for a glass of wine, an ice chilled Spanish larger, a coffee and dessert, or of course Beni’s great tasting tapas. We now have a sofa and seating area next to the fireplace and wine cellar for you to sit and relax and enjoy our warm ambiance and Spanish music. Hola, We would like to introduce ourselves as the new owners of Los Reyes tapas and wine bar. We are a husband and wife team. Angelina and Beni. You might remember us from The Priory Hotel, and The Beaufort, Raglan. Beni was head chef at The Beaufort working with a team of Spanish chefs, so he Is an expert in preparing fresh cooked to order tapas. Angelina will be front of house, and will always greet you with a friendly smile to make you feel welcome. We live locally and are so happy to be back in Caerleon and looking forward to seeing everyone again, and welcoming you to a little piece of Spain in Caerleon. We hope to see you all very soon.

Marios back! What a weekend we have ahead of us

From the 1st September Los Reyes will have new owners. Gareth, Heather and Miguel would like to thank all our loyal customers who have frequented Los Reyes over the last couple of years.... We now think its time to let someone else take the reigns and we can concentrate on our other restaurants. We have been informed by the new tenants that they will keep it as a tapas bar so we will still frequent it as customers. Its live music weekend on the 24th and 25th with Mario playing his amazing flamenco so it would be nice to see as many of our customers and thank you all personally.

Went last night - sat outside and there was a wonderful atmosphere with music playing and strings of lights. Absolutely fabulous tapas - really authentic- and the staff were brilliant. Can’t wait to go back

We booked with Los Reyes Tapas bar for my daughters hen party. We all were very pleased and impressed with the staff who were excellent at their job. The food was fantastic, and plenty of it, will definitely go back. 😀

Visited last night for the first time with friends. Lovely little place, excellent customer service and fantastic food. Will definitely be returning �

Stunning. We ordered 7 dishes between 2 of us and I was stuffed. The flavour and selection was fantastic. Prices brilliant too. Will definitely come back.

I've been twice over the last week, once for a work get together at the 6pm sitting and once for a family meal (after I raved about the food nonstop following my first visit!) a week later for the 8pm sitting. Service was very good on both occasions even at the busier 8pm sitting and the food was very quickly delivered to the table even though we ordered lots of dishes! The food is outstanding and is the best tapas we have had locally (and is a very good substitute for the tapas we love in Barcelona but much cheaper to get to!) We had a wide range of dishes and even managed desserts (the Oreo cheesecake is phenomenal!!!). Unfortunately Los Reyes is now shut for two weeks for a new menu but I'm pretty sure my diet is thankful for this 😂 We cannot wait to see what the new menu looks like and are very much looking forward to good hospitality and great food at our next visit. Thanks to all of the team at Los Reyes - you are doing an excellent job! 🙂

Had a lovely meal at Los Reyes on Saturday afternoon proper authentic Spanish Tapas, perfectly cooked and full of flavour, great atmosphere in the dining room, loved the lively Spanish music, highly recommend it for a night out with a bit of a difference xxx

7 of us visited 7.7.18 . Can't fault the service and the food,absolutely fantastic. Very happy all round,recommend booking as it does get very busy,which isn't surprising. Lovely surroundings also.

Only complaint was that it was a little bit chilly in the room but we were there fairly early.

First visit. Food was delicious although a couple of dishes were sold out by the time we were booked in. Service a little slow to start with but it was full and it did improve. Good wine list. Would definitely recommend.

Drinks order taken as soon as we sat down. Speed of service very fast. Very friendly staff.

Atmosphere was authentic, venue beautifully done, was busy but we didn’t eat except for olives. Wish we had though, the aroma was tempting!

Absolutely stunning loved it definitely going back if I had to complain it would be for the selection of deserts but everything else A1

The food we had this evening was excellent and we go there very often. However, the new menu is drastically reduced down to one page and our bill for the exact same food went up by 40%. Bread no longer brought to table while you wait - you are charged now if you want it. Very disappointed and I think regulars will be too. Hope it goes back to how it was. Staff very welcoming and warm atmosphere but need to be honest.

We were sat next to 2 large parties which affected our dining experience as we were so close to the one table they almost knocked our drinks over several times as they stood up to get out etc. The food was disappointing. I ordered garlic mushrooms which came out cold (they are a salad apparently, cooked, cold mushrooms? Not my thing and not described this way on the menu ) These however were promptly exchanged for pardon peppers which unfortunately were so bitter they were inedible. Patatas bravas were cubed 'chips' with more garlic mayo and a tomato ketchup type sauce. The steak skewer was ok (and the only thing I ate) and the churros as dessert were the highlight. I'd heard such good things about the food. Very disappointed. I wouldn't go back.

Been here numerous times and absolutely love it but very disappointed, booked table month ago for bday, was told no more than 8 people, then was told any earlier than 8pm and can only have table for 2 hours, finally booked table for 8 people and a high chair at 8pm to be told today when ringing to let them know someone had dropped out that no children were allowed in the evenings so have had to cancel and find somewhere else last minute. I understand have rules but this isn't very accommodating for customers.

Was very disappointed last night for my family to be placed in two different rooms when we were trying celebrating my cousin’s 13th Birthday.This meant that we had to take turns to go to each others tables to at least see one another.When my Aunty rang up they told us that they don’t take big bookings but that they could get us two table which they couldn’t guarantee they’d be close together,but the couldn’t be further apart! My table waited over 50 mins for food that wasn’t hot and the other table that my family were on waited an hour and a half and still didn’t receive their order.We cancelled the order after that.They were told that there were still a few tables waiting before them. They said that they only had one chef in the kitchen,but surely if you know it’s going to be busy then you’d have extra staff in the kitchen! We decided to leave and complain and they were being rude to us as we tried to explain our situation.We have been here one time previously and thought that we would have a fantastic evening but that it was the complete different end of the spectrum. Will not be returning,very sad as our night was ruined and my Aunty,Cousin and his brother didn’t see each other most of the night. They didn’t give us any discount or free drinks.They only apologised when we were about to leave and nobody warned us that they there would be such a long wait. As I can see from the other reviews,other people were disappointed with the service so please take this into consideration when wanting to visit.

Waiting more than 90 minutes Yet still wanting to return due to quality of food served. HOWEVER, Very disappointed to be rudely told 'no bookings over 8' despite only wanting to book for 9 people! This is absolutely ludicrous. The manner in which this was dealt with was awful. A suggestion perhaps would be to take pre-orders for large tables! Very disappointed with the poor customer service. Such a shame �

I'd heard such good things about the food. Very disappointed. I wouldn't go back.

Been here numerous times and absolutely love it but very disappointed, booked table month ago for bday, was told no more than 8 people, then was told any earlier than 8pm and can only have table for 2 hours, finally booked table for 8 people and a high chair at 8pm to be told today when ringing to let them know someone had dropped out that no children were allowed in the evenings so have had to cancel and find somewhere else last minute. I understand have rules but this isn't very accommodating for customers.

Was very disappointed last night for my family to be placed in two different rooms when we were trying celebrating my cousin’s 13th Birthday.This meant that we had to take turns to go to each others tables to at least see one another.When my Aunty rang up they told us that they don’t take big bookings but that they could get us two table which they couldn’t guarantee they’d be close together,but the couldn’t be further apart! My table waited over 50 mins for food that wasn’t hot and the other table that my family were on waited an hour and a half and still didn’t receive their order.We cancelled the order after that.They were told that there were still a few tables waiting before them. They said that they only had one chef in the kitchen,but surely if you know it’s going to be busy then you’d have extra staff in the kitchen! We decided to leave and complain and they were being rude to us as we tried to explain our situation.We have been here one time previously and thought that we would have a fantastic evening but that it was the complete different end of the spectrum. Will not be returning,very sad as our night was ruined and my Aunty,Cousin and his brother didn’t see each other most of the night. They didn’t give us any discount or free drinks.They only apologised when we were about to leave and nobody warned us that they there would be such a long wait. As I can see from the other reviews,other people were disappointed with the service so please take this into consideration when wanting to visit.

Very disappointed indeed. Having visited a few weeks back with friends ( 16 in total) and despite the service being below average the food was simply delightful. Waiting more than 90 minutes Yet still wanting to return due to quality of food served. HOWEVER, Very disappointed to be rudely told 'no bookings over 8' despite only wanting to book for 9 people! This is absolutely ludicrous. The manner in which this was dealt with was awful. A suggestion perhaps would be to take pre-orders for large tables! Very disappointed with the poor customer service. Such a shame �
