About Lower Clopton Farm Shop And Cafe

A family run business situated on the border of The Cotswolds, nestled at the base of Meon Hill. Look out for the clock tower when you visit.

Lower Clopton Farm Shop And Cafe Description

We believe in supporting the British economy and the local farming community, so you’ll find that 99% of the produce available in our store is British. Most of our food has travelled a maximum of 50 miles and our staff are all locals.

Most of the meat reared on our farm goes through the shop and only seasonal vegetables and fruit are sold. It’s easy to forget that, while the British climate produces some of the most fabulous tasting fruit and vegetables, we cannot grow them all year round. Buying direct from the farm puts you in touch with the seasons when the produce is the best you can get.

We are passionate about supplying top quality fresh local food for the public and all our products can be traced to where they are grown locally.

New arrivals at the farm, cute and noisy goslings!

User

We visited today to pick our pumpkins and had the best time. The tractor ride was so much fun, the turkeys were so funny running alongside us.

We loved going up to the patch with our wheelbarrow and picking our pumpkins. The tractor driver was really helpful and friendly, he explained which turkeys were male and female and which ones gobbled the loudest.

We'll definetly come again next year and be telling all of our friends and family. Hopefully it will grow in the years to come!

User

We love coming here and today was certainly no exception. Lambing weekend at Lower Clopton Farm and we got to cuddle some woolly babies . You guys do a great job on these special weekends and all year with the shop and cafe. Keep up the good work!

User

We have just cooked 2 rib eye steaks bought from Lower Clopton Butchers. Absolutely fantastic. Tender and tasty and a perfect Saturday night treat

User

We had lovely time yesterday in the sun ☀️

User

We bought a leg of lamb in the autumn when the foodie in-laws visited, they deemed it to be "the best lamb we've ever had". We also bought a roasting joint of topside of beef for Christmas dinner, it was both fabulously tender and full of flavour.

Love the cheese counter and the sausage rolls as well!

User

Such a lovely place, especially since all the upgrades. The cafe is lovely and things are fairly reasonably priced. Haven’t tried the food yet in the cafe but we will be back.

User

Pick your own.... absolutely brilliant... cherries are amazing. Visited the cafe for a bacon roll and coffee. Lovely food and friendly service.

User

Lower Clopton Farm came to my rescue when I couldn't find a caterer to help with a family weekend for 25 people, 6 of whom had significant food allergy issues. They provided gluten free burgers, gluten free vegetarian quiches as well as gluten and mustard free chutneys, gf cakes, boxes of tomatoes, mushrooms, hams, cheeses, bread, meringues and much more! Absolute stars.

This has been my farm shop for many years.

User

Had such a great day picking our pumpkins yesterday. This was our third visit with the children and it will definitely won't be our last xxx

User

Had breakfast today ..was lovely ..good value for money

User

Great tractor trailer ride and PYO pumpkins! I took a school group and they loved it. Richard and everyone at the farm shop were very helpful. Thank you!

User

Excellent place, lovely fresh fruit and vegetables. Great family days out to

User

Cannot fault any food either eaten in the cafe or brought to have at home. Always fresh products and the bacon especially is to die for.

User

Brilliant quality PYO fruit, had a lovely morning, thank you

User

Amazing great produce coffee shop is brilliant ;)

User

Absolutely brilliant time at the lambing event on today. My 4 and 1 year old loved it especially getting to stroke the lambs (not brave enough to hold) and sit in the tractor! The signs up throughout the sheds explaining the different areas and the young lad in the lamb bottle fed area was really informative. We didn’t eat as came just after lunch but the prices were very reasonable in the menu. We purchased some burgers from the shop that we had to for tea tonight and they were fantastic! I will be making a weekly trip to your shop for your tasty produce.

User

A family-run business that really cares about giving its customers the very best they can provide.

User

Arrived just after 10am so a nice small queue. Tractor ride to the field with plenty of pumpkins. A great experience and then we had a drink and cake in the cafe. Only two negatives from me:

The tractor was £2pp or a family ticket for £6 (2 adults and 3 children). Because I was one adult and 3 children I had to pay £8

In the cafe a glass of squash for kids is £1 and comes in the very small plastics glasses that are not even 1/2 pint (everywhere you would pay 20/30p).

Two small things really but contribute to the experience.
