Hello everyone, the fishing on the River Wye has re-opened, water levels are still extremely low and common sense is required when handling and releasing fish, especially Barbel. The use of keepnets is not recommended and all fish should be given ample time to recover before being released back into the River. The situation will be reviewed depending on any water temperature increases and water levels. 🎣

Wow what a little gem of a site. We had one amazing Bank holiday weekend. The site is just perfect. You must take a torch for the nights as this site has very little lighting which is perfect to see the stars with out light pollution. My girls loved playing everywhere. The river running along the side of the site is stunning and the woods just over the road is a beautiful walk. The staff are very helpful and amazing. The site is also clean and tidy. If i could i would give this site 6 stars. Hopefully we will get back this year.

User

What a fantastic campsite, we were pitched on millionaire's row, great facilities, friendly staff, and it turned out to be the hottest week ever. Will definitely be coming back.

User

We had a lovely Easter weekend break at Lucksall. The staff were always helpful and friendly. The site is well maintained and attractive.

The Riverside bar was also good value for money and the food was great.

Looking forward to returning in the future

User

This is one of our favourite sites everything about it is just perfect. We would spend every weekend there if possible we go about 6 times a year and every time is as good as the last .

Thanks all at lucksall

User

Perfect place for us to stay when visiting friends back in the ‘ford. Extremely friendly and lovely people running and looking after the site. Beautiful location. Immaculate site. Great atmosphere. We only wish we could stay longer to appreciate everything about the site. The cafe and bar are an added bonus. And not forgetting the picturesque river Wye.

User

Me and my partner booked last minute on a recommendation and we had a wonderful weekend away camping. The site is immaculate. Really clean facilities and plenty of showers and toilets. Little on site shop came in handy and it has its own bar/restaurant - food was really good. Staff are friendly and polite and you could clearly see they work very hard. A massive thank you to everyone for making it an awesome weekend! Highly recommend to anyone!!

User

Lucksall is beautiful place . Nice pitches ,great facilities, great food and the staff can't do enough for you .

User

Lovely, clean family friendly site, we stayed in our own caravan. The site is really good for kids and dogs alike. Kids loved the play area and going on their bikes around the site which was all flat and safe.

We liked the fact you had a shop on site for those extra bits we needed and we also enjoyed the cafe/bar on site which had plenty of choice of food and drinks.

We enjoyed a beautiful 10 mins walk into the village which had great views over the river wye, we ended up in the moon pub which accepted dogs and kids with a play area out the back.

Overall very enjoyable bank holiday weekend, we will be returning thank you

User

Lovely setting by the river wye and park is maintained to a very high standard and all the staff so pleasant and helpful, can’t wait to visit again

User

Love the location, nice and peaceful, one drawback. If blood sucking mosquitoes and horseflies are attracted to you then douse yourself in repellent, one bite has left my wrist looking it's been in a car crash.

User

From the outset we were greeted by very friendly and professional staff who made us feel extremely welcome. The initial brief of the facilities etc was comprehensive and the setting is stunning although my wife and I only spent 1 night we were very impressed with everything. Thank you we will definitely return.

User

Excellent well maintained site about 9 miles of m50 roundabout. Right on the river Wye teeming with bird life. Excellent eatery on site open until 10pm. Dog walk on site and plenty of walking opportunities nearby. Great to explore Hereford, Ross on Wye and many other interesting towns. Highly recommended.

User

Can’t fault on anything, everything kept so clean and tidy . Staff we happy to see you and so helpful. Grass and gardens were kept in lovely condition (even in the scorching heat we are having) . A totally enjoyable experience and was sorry to go home.will definitely come back and recommend to all my friends. Thank you Paul and Maria.

User

Beautiful site, very clean and well kept facilities. Lovely river walk. Great cafe/bar with outside seating. Bus stop to Hereford. Would definitely recommend this site.

User

Beautiful setting by the River Wye and convenient bus stop outside with a good service to Hereford. Good facilities which were clean, whole site is well kept and peaceful.

User

Back from a 5 day stay, lovely well maintained site with generously sized pitches. Given the inclement weather this week I'm really glad we booked a hard standing pitch!

Bar on site sells a good range of local beers and cider. Didn't try the food but the menu looks good a fairly priced. Certainly a site to return to, and hope that the sun comes out.

User

Arrived after our motorhome adventure on Isle of Wight. Booked this site 3 days previously was told only 2 places left so we knew it was popular. Arrived earlier than we said as we caught the early ferry over. Couldnt fault the welcome we got everyone was very helpful. However we were disappointed when we saw the pitch we were put on. It was the grassy area over from the canoe car park, no peg or anything. However the guide did say if we werent happy we could get it changed on the Sunday when most people were going home. We did go to the office on Sunday and were allocated a lovely pitch by the river. What started off as bad did turn out to be lovely and peaceful. Thankfully my husband talked me out of leaving after one night. Will definitely be back as long as we dont get the car park!!

User

A fantastic camping ground set next to the river Wye. The grounds were kept spanking clean and very well maintained. The staff were attentive, friendly and approachable.

User

Lovely Site with large pitches, some right on the river. Great facilities with a well stocked shop and cafe. Toilets and showers were clean but needed updating. The grounds were perfectly manicured. We were given a few different options of pitch at point of booking which I liked. I would return here.
