used our groupon voucher yesterday and had a fantastic afternoon with a group of 12 people. thank you madeleine could not fault the service and the staff were friendly and helpful. will defo go back and recommend people give it a go

We had a really lovely afternoon tea. The service was excellent, friendly and efficient. We had not booked and yet the manageress realised (without being told) that we were celebrating a birthday and went out of her way to make it special. Very relaxed atmosphere. Only thing I would possibly change would be to have more veggie sandwiches but that's just a personal preference. I would definitely go back

My husband brought me here for afternoon tea for my birthday. It was scrumptious!!!

I love afternoon tea at Madeleine's. Amazing staff and vegetarian option (best I've had anywhere). Despite being extremely busy at Madeleine's yesterday the staff were polite and helpful. Definitely recommend.

Fabulous afternoon tea yesterday. Lovely loose leaf tea in a silver teapot. The staff were lovely and told you what everything was. The sandwiches and cakes were all delicious. I can't fault it at all - will definitely be back!

Beautiful afternoon tea. Delicious finger sandwiches and cakes. The scones with clotted cream and jam were to die for. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommend it.

Was a lovely afternoon tea food nice view wasout on to road was down side prefer canal view other than that enjoyable very pricey menu wouldn't rush back we had it brought us as a present x

Afternoon tea was very nice, everything was fresh and enjoyable. Worth the £9 each we paid through Groupon. The waitress that served us was nice and explained what everything was. The lady who booked us in was a bit more frosty, did not come across very welcoming. We were stuck up the corner of the cafe which felt a bit cramped even though the cafe was not very busy and there were better tables available. Overall a good experience with a few things that could be improved.

Very nice food, didn't get our Prosecco though which was part of the deal, we wasn't asked if we wanted it. We finished our Afternoon Tea and no waitress had been over for a while and we couldn't attract her attention so left without having what we paid for �

One of the cups we had was dirty-we asked to have it changed-no apology not a very friendly lady that served us-no explaination of what was in the sandwiches-when i asked about the teas was told there were 4 types , when i went on monday it was much better-bread was not the best?? On monday was told about the flavoured teas etc

My partner & I visited yesterday for afternoon tea. I have been once before and the food was lovely. However, yesterday the scones were tiny and just four finger sandwiches each. The sandwiches were nice. Service could have been better though.

Although the cakes were small there were to many !! 4 plus a scone !! And not enough of the 3" x 1" sticks that they called a sandwhich ?? & for the price it should be more tea not just 1 refill of a small pot. Dissapointed would not return. (Even the glass of presseco wasnt a full glass) !!!

This is my 4th visit to Madeleine's. Always been really impressed up until yesterday! 3 very small sandwiches each. Cakes now really small too. Sorry but won't visit again

Very disappointing. Pre booked six weeks earlier. Told our booking wasn't listed. Waitress very polite and tried to provide us with our tea but very inadequate food supplied and no vegetarian option available as apparently we should have pre booked this. When they had no listing for us this seemed strange. We've had tea at several places nearby and always been very pleased but will definitely not be returning or recommending Madeleine.

Terrible service today at Madeleine, left waiting for 40 mins because the waiter didn't read my voucher correctly and told the kitchen to make afternoon tea not crepes. Once they realised there mistake they told us, I said we would have the afternoon tea as they had made it and we had been waiting so long, the waiter just smiled and passed us a menu. Had to wait again while they made crepes, asked twice for them to bring more tea out as ours had gone cold we had been waiting so long. Most establishments would have offered the afternoon tea which they had already made after the blunder, won't be visiting again. On a positive note the coconut cake was delicious! Customer service training would be benificial for there staff...

Returned after a good first visit for afternoon tea for two. Not impressed. One very surly waitress (I think she was in charge?). Refused to let us purchase an extra round of sandwiches despite the fact that we did this last visit!! Said it was 'not possible' You're a cafe for goodness sake and it was early afternoon. Not possible to knock up one sandwich!! What sort of establishment turns down a sale? And who on earth puts four inch chunks of sun dried tomato on a sandwich? It was horrible. That waitress needs to brush up on her customer service skills.
