Madley Plants

Due to popular demand we've decided to roll out the tinsel and have another #lovelocal event, but this time for Christmas. Why not pop along and do some of your Christmas shopping while helping to support local businesses? Some of the people that joined us in the Summer will be here again but there'll also be plenty of new faces with lovely gifts for your friends, family, pets or even yourself! We're also looking to help the Madley Community Project Group by having a raffle supported by the lovely local businesses that will be here on the day. Tickets will only be £1 and will be available on the day, so make sure you get some before the draw at 1pm. All the money raised will go towards improving the facilities on the recreation ground in Madley.

It's SALE time! All trays of winter bedding plants are just £10 for 4 trays - that's 24 plants for a tenner! There's also 20% off all bulbs and for this weekend only, there's 10% off shrubs and trees too - aren't we good to you?! It will be chilly but dry over the weekend - sunny days with blue skies and the cafe is still open if you need a hot drink and some cake 🌞💙

Don't miss BBC Gardeners World tonight at 9pm as Nick Bailey is visiting Frank P Matthews Ltd. tree specialists in Worcester. All our ornamental and fruit trees come from this fab local grower, so be sure to watch and if you're inspired to plant a tree why not pop in and see us over the weekend. We have a lovely selection with great autumn colour including Spindle tree 'Indian Summer', Betula 'Snow Queen' and Robinia Frisia. There are also good cornus, cercis, liquidamber, salix, crataegus and prunus to choose from.

We have winter colour at the nursery for both inside and outside...the cyclamen and heather are both looking great at the moment. Cyclamen starts at £2.50, heather at £3. There are also plenty of violas and panolas to choose from and some fab looking hanging baskets at just £9 each or 2 for £16. Weather's looking OK so why not pop over at the weekend? It's warm both days and there's sunny spells on Saturday...allegedly ☀️🤞

Coffee making steps up a gear at Madley Plants ☕️

Now is a great time to fix any areas of the lawn that have suffered this season by sowing grass seed. We're pleased to say that we're now stocking a universal lawn seed from our fabulous local supplier Whittal Seeds. It delivers a hardwearing lawn which is tolerant to reasonable wear by pets and kids and is available in our shop in both 500g and 1kg bags. We are SO pleased to have such a first rate nursery so close to where we live. Great variety of plants in the summer and some beautiful Christmas wreaths and trees at this time of the year. Visited for the first time today. Lovely reception from Michelle who was very happy to help. Lovely cafe, served wonderful tea, cold drinks and super cakes! Came away with a boot full of amazing plants that are all in their pots in the garden now. Highly recommend and shall be back for more. Thanks so much

So glad that this place has been put back on the map. A real gem for plants and the cafe serves excellent teas and delicious cakes without being too expensive on the pocket.

Our first visit yesterday, made so welcome by Michelle and Simon. Purchased lovely fresh plants helped by their advice, topped off with pot of tea and delicious cake. What's not to like!!

My first visit to Madley plants. Everything is so fresh and healthy. I will certainly be revisiting soon to choose some flowering plants for some outdoor tubs and to get some more tomato plants and cucumber plants for my greenhouse. I will give myself more time next visit to enable me to try the cake as well.

I visited Madley plants to solve a hanging basket emergency for our local Glamping business. I accidentally pounced on them on their first day of opening for the season. The owner was an absolute darling, helping me choose baskets & some stunning primroses. The price was so reasonable & service warm & efficient. We will certainly make them our port of call for all green fingered requirements- highly recommended!

I have had all my plants and hanging baskets from Madley Plants this year. They have produced a really good show throughout the summer. Michelle and Simon are always on hand to give advice and make you feel very welcome.
