Photo taken by Victoria Akbik yesterday evening when the kids from Bilton Beavers came pumpkin picking. Still loads of pumpkins to pick and the patch is open every day right the way through to Halloween.
The pumpkin patch is now open right the way through to Halloween. Just turn up grab a wheelbarrow and pick. Photo of Adam and Hannah with a barrow full of pumpkins.
Just arrived from the Isle of Kintyre, Inverloch cheese.
Photo of the shop porch loaded with pumpkins. The pick your own is open now right the way through to Halloween.
Also the butchers mate is advertising a nice offer on our own lamb. A tasty leg or shoulder of lamb will freeze and be great for Christmas. That's if you don't fancy it for this Sundays roast.
The pumpkin patch is now open daily right the way through to Halloween.
The pumpkin patch is now open for pick your own and will be right the way through to Halloween. We have a good selection of pumpkins of all different sizes, some white ones some blue ones and some very nobbly ones.
Picking pumpkins for the shop. We hope to open the field for pick your own this weekend. Watch this space for further updates.
We have lots of different varieties of apples and plums grown locally in nearby Northamptonshire on sale in the farm shop. New this week Cox's orange pippin.
A couple of correct answers but after a draw out the old hat the winner is Kerri Fellowes. We sell 27 local cheeses - they are the ones with the red labels on our deli counter. Kerri please come to the farm shop and collect your prize.
Just in today 4 boozy mini truckles. To win all four can you guess how many local cheeses we sell on our deli counter? And out of interest which one would make it on to your Christmas cheeseboard. Competition closes Friday 14th September at 6pm.
Not long now until we open the pumpkin patch.
The next patch of sunflowers is now ready and the late strawberries look pretty good too.
This week in the pick your own we have blackberries, strawberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants, runner beans, sweet corn, marrows, courgettes, squash and rhubarb. There are raspberries but they are now quite hardwork and the first patch of sunflowers has finished with the next patch not ready till next week.
A few photos from around the pick your own today. We have now opened the sweet corn, blackberries and runner beans for pick your own.
We now have sunflowers to pick. The dry weather has made growing difficult this time. We usually try to have several patches so they follow on across the summer. This year it looks like the small early patch has worked but later sowings are struggling.
A Sunday roast well worth winning!
Went for Mothering Sunday lunch, the food and service was exceptional, big thumbs up to all the staff. Also, the beautifully wrapped biscuits which were given to all the mums was a lovely gesture.
We always go on a Saturday for meat, fruit and veg and have a coffee in Rebecca's Kitchen cafe, so it was lovely to try the food and we were not disappointed.
This wonderful place has become a family tradition for the seasonal PYO we come in a group of 3 upto sometimes 10. Today we went to the PYO pumpkin patch which was very successful and great fun - Thank you for offering wheelbarrows (very much appreciated as the larger pumpkins are very heavy).
Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Nothing was to much trouble. We will be back
Note of advice to customers who have never been... If in doubt call the shop or check FB before you travel for footwear advice and or if you need to bring anything for example a knife and gloves are a must for pumpkins picking.
Terrific food, great staff!
Very friendly place, well worth visiting if your nearby.
The cafe was great, very good coffee.
Meat and produce was some of the best we have seen in our UK travels. 👍👍
Regular customer and shop here every week !. Just had a Chicken, Gammon & Leek Pie... Made in their kitchen. Great tasting pie, with a tasty pastry. New line !!!. They have other fillings as well !! Check them out, also a great butchers with a good selection of sausage and meats. Always helpful.
Normally come over to get meat from the Butcher's which is great, the Sausages are world class. A few times I've called in for coffee as part of my bike ride and can't fault the cafe in any respect. The breakfasts are wonderful and they use their own sausages.
Lovely farm shop and lovely people, my lil boy loved picking his own strawberries and seeing where they came from xx
It was the first time we took our little sister strawberry picking and im so glad we chose to come here today. The lady at the PYO counter was super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and was so glad to see how diverse it was!!
Thank you to the team xxx
Impressive Fresh local produce, so much choice and a good place to eat.
Great selection in the farm shop, fresh products. The fruits in the PYO are sweet - great way to spend a family day out!
Great Fathers’ Day afternoon out picking strawberries, gooseberries and rhubarb finished of with visit to the café. Recommended.
Came in today for a couple of plants. We filled a basket with plants and another with a few bottles of Duck Soup, a peri peri spatchcock chicken, a pork pie, cheese, coleslaw and a few veggies. The beer and the pie were an excellent lunch (really tasty pie). The chicken went on the barbecue and was so juicy, could be a bit hotter for me, but no complaints. Excellent as usual.
Best bacon, duck eggs and black pudding you can buy.
Beautiful Farm Shop, absolutely packed with the best quality fruit, veg, fresh meat, homemade ready meals, a great selection of frozen meals, you name it this farm shop has it, along with gorgeous gifts, unusual drinks, cakes, biscuits, and a lovely coffee shop that even serves a wonderful afternoon tea at a very reasonable price. Just called in for a look around and after having lunch I went away with a basket full of things you don't see in the supermarkets, and a fab PYO section, Superb! Can't wait to visit again 😃👍
An excellent farm for picking your own or even purchasing all ready picked, cafe is also excellent food fantastic
Went yesterday for first time since the fire. It was half term and therefore busy so I have factored this into my review.
Decided to have lunch so I ordered 2 adults a child lunch and a sandwich for toddler. We waited 40 minutes to get our food and in that time other people were arriving, ordering and getting their hot food before us. When it arrived I asked if we could have a small spoon and some mustard. After another wait I decided to go and ask someone else.
I felt the food was over priced and the service was not great. The tables were not cleared away very quickly and there was no cutlery. MK should have realised half term would be busy especially with the pumpkin picking and employed a few more staff.
Stopped here on the way to sisters in Essex for brunch and what a lovely restaurant and shop. Shop was expensive but for the quality it was worth it. We called again week later on way home for brunch and a bit of shopping
Brunch was delicious and the staff was so pleasant will stop again 15 mins from M6
Nice place newly rebuilt after the fire have been there a lot of times as it's close to home but even compared to other farm shops it's VERY expensive, have a standing charge for everyone going into the pick your own section which I have never heard of before in any other pick your own and to rub salt into the wound even charge for a carrier bag which being a small company they aren't legally obliged to do. Just seems to me that they want to get as much money from each visitor as possible in any way possible have been going for a number of years prior to the fire and after but won't be visiting again
£6 to go picking. Not enough crop to pick and we had to back to the field just to get our monies worth. Long queue to pay in farm shop and this meant you could not actually view to buy as fridges and shelves were obscured by shoppers.
Very rude owner/ manager when I had a very small complaint! Obviously has no customer service experience at all! No apology of any kind and very rude response to my email! Will not be recommending and will not be returning!
