Today we visited for our wedding menu tasting and were totally blown away! We haven’t been to the manor since the renovation and the introduction of the Marco Pierre White and we thought our wedding venue was already perfect as that’s where we met but it’s now even better! It looks amazing, the staff were friendly, helpful and very professional with great knowledge and the food was beautiful and well presented! It’s made me even more excited for the wedding.

Reading reviews here made me feel worried but having been to a marco pierres before i thought i would give it ago as this was a surpise birthday meal from my husband. On arrival it was lovely and clean and tidy, staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was amazing we had bread to start which was warm out of the oven and lamb for main which was so tasty! The only thing i took a star away for was because i had a cocktail and it didnt taste right and for £9.50 i was disappointed other then that loved it here and would recommend

It's an expensive place but it's the kind of 'up market' venue we'd only visit once in a while. We've been to the one in Birmingham for a birthday - we went for an anniversey meal this weekend. Quick and polite service, food was good - we had soup & potted duck for starters and the French and the Alex James burgers for mains, with a bottle of wine. Not massive portions but certainly not left hungry. And generally speaking Meriden is expensive anyway so wasn't expecting a pound saver menu!

Visited with a Groupon voucher yesterday but was expecting more from a Marco Pierre White Restaurant. The menu was very disappointing, and the service, although the place was nearly empty, was very slow. The staff were lovely and very attentive, but we were rather underwhelmed by the experience, and I do not plan to return.

Sadly a very average meal, was given the wrong menu as we had an inclusive dinner as staying at the Best Western hotel. Almost seems like a deliberate ploy to get you to order things off the main menu. We ordered white wine but had to ask for a cooler. Burger was ok but the bun was not toasted so was cold along with the salad etc. The worst course was the fruits of the forest crumble, which consisted or tart fruits of the forest compote straight from a tin with some hastily crumbled shortbread in big chunks added on top. Completely cloying in the mouth and very tart, steer clear of the crumble as nothing like a proper crumble. Would I return sadly not! There are clearly issues with both front of house and also the kitchen, I was expecting more and got less from a Marco Pierre White Restaurant �

Mixed grill, starters and and children's Burger was first class. My daughter and I both left our battered fish and chips. Fish had very little batter on it and what was there was far too greasy with oil. Didn’t enjoy ours at all. Shame as I have previously enjoyed the food. Two of the family loved it, two were very disappointed.

Food was nice staff were lovely but all the tables around us including ourselves either waited for drinks, had to send food back, was brought the wrong food or it was not cooked to order... Mr Pierre White should concentrate on making the restaurants he has exceptional instead of going for quantity instead of quality...

A lovely setting, great waiters and waitresses who were very professional and attentive but let down by the quality of food. Very poor Sunday lunch, most disappointed after a good starter. Tough, dry meat. Clearly re-heated roast potatoes and a lack of ‘owt moist’! Shame. My complaint was handled well with the offer of free deserts so thanks for that.

I must be honest and say that I will be back as I liked the venue and service, but will try a Saturday night and the A-La-Carte Menu. �

A real mixed review. We arrived without booking and was told the 7.30 bookings were fully booked...no problem as we could enjoy the evening warmth in a fantastic setting. We booked for a later time, this time arrived and although not finished our drinks we were rushed into a near empty restaurant (no more than 15 people) even when we requested to enjoy the outside a little longer...in essence we were rushed into an empty restaurant and observed only 1 other couple arrive. High cost establishments don’t rush customers. The food whilst of good quality and presentation was highly priced, £10.50+ for a salad the size of a started salad and £14.50 for a prawn curry...the price of the steaks removed my appetite for one, can’t justify £30 for a steak and extras at £3.50+. The restaurant is of high presentation, staff pleasant and tentative...may need to check the salt and pepper pots to ensure they’re not empty. Minor points, however when you reflect on the value for money it leaves a sour taste on your experience. I anticipated more, received less...I’ll be going to other local establishments with significantly better reviews and less expensive prices.
