Mat Pickering Boxing Training & Fitness

MP Boxing Fitness is run by the Head coach of Stratford Boxing Academy and I am a level 2 ABA coach and DBS cleared. I have over 17 years coaching experience and within this time I have produced a national champion, also national semi, quarter and pre-quarter finalist along with midland and warwickshire champions. I also co-lead a female squad held in the midlands, to give the females the same opportunities as the males in the sport. We have recently returned from an International trip to Denmark where we won 4 gold medals and boxer of the tournament.

I am also Stratford Sport Coach of the Year Award winner and have been sorted listed for the Pride of Stratford Award 2016 (winner to be announced at awards ceremony on 5th February 2016).

I have recently had the opportunity of working with the England's Lions Cricket Team at Loughborough alongside Andy Flower, Graham Thorpe and their Strength and Condition Coaches. I was asked to coach boxing drills and boxing techniques on the emphasis of keeping your shape, form and the importance of explosive power.

I'm hoping to bring a new twist of coaching to the people of Stratford upon Avon using the training methods and experience I have gained over the years. My methods of training are fresh, innovative and fun and most of all people friendly. I'm a great believer of quality of training over quantity of training which is less harmful to the body.

I will be offering one to one sessions, two to one sessions as well as group sessions which can be held at the boxing gym or I can go mobile and come to a place to suit you.

Male Boxfit
Boxing Blast (30 minute high intensity programme, not for the faint hearted. guaranteed results)
Mini Pocket Rockets (non contact - 8yrs - 14yrs)
