Mavis Antoine Re-Upholstery

What an honour to be entrusted with this family heirloom of almost 100 years. It belonged to my client's grandmother who had it for her 21st birthday 🙏

Many a sofa or armchair can be revamped by replacing the cushions. These fibre cushions were replaced by having a foam core and fibre wrap!

So satisfying when everything comes together. These cherished Laura Ashley armchairs were covered in a J Brown velvet fabric. Cushion inners were replaced with a foam core and fibre wrap!

Fixed pub benches done last month!

A lovely pair of cherished Parker Knoll chairs brought up to date by stripping the dark varnish and waxing the wood to enhance the natural colour. Upholstered in a Clarke & Clarke fabric!

5 years ago I upholstered these chairs for the client's new home. Here they are again covered in a bold fabric to suit their new colour scheme!

Here's one that missed being posted. Beautiful solid frames, but the seat pads had seen better days. Covered in a faux leather rubellite fabric by Skopos.

I love it when it all comes together at the end! This day bed sofa had to be dismantled to upholster the arms, seat and back!

Nothing wrong with these lovely chairs. The colour didn't fit in with the client's new decor, so we recovered them in a charcoal grey velvet fabric

Playing catch-up! These leather chairs had the full treatment, new foam, new webbing and a very contemporary fabric from Skopos. New bespoke bench cushions made in a J Brown fabric. Matching scatter cushions to add the extra bit of comfort!

Matching chairs to the chaise lounge

It's been quite a while since I shared my work, been busy creating a new home, but here's what's been going on behind the scenes!

I have just had my little armchair made by my Step Dad many years ago, lovingly covered by Mavis. It is a very special chair and was well worn when she collected it. She has done a wonderful job, it looks amazing, even my 'hard to impress' Step Dad has commented on the great job Mavis has done. Thank you so much!! X
