‘What’s your goal Maxine?’
‘What do you do about your shape?’
I aim to be strong
... I aim to be happy
I aim to challenge myself
I am to have fun!!!
So I exercise on a regular basis, weight training, combined with HIT training, combined with playing volleyball and teaching classes
I fuel my body in the correct way - for VB games, for training, for general movement...
I don’t restrict, I don’t syn any foods... I create a happy relationship with all macronutrients...
I eat 3-4 meals a day
Maxi loves to sleep

And still bloody love that slice of cake or a chocolate fix!😎
Because it’s about finding the right balance for you, and only you♥️

Learning to be truly happy within ourselves🌻🌞
Happiness isn’t a number on a set of scales
Happiness isn’t having all the money in the world
... Happiness isn’t trying to be someone else
Happiness is purely living enjoyment, being you, and only you, and doing what sets your soul on fire🔥
So why do we feel the need to compare our lives with how much we weigh on a set of silly scales?
Are you really going to care what weight you were 10 years ago... no
The most important thing you will care about is how happy you’ve become, and how you feel in the amazing dress/top you’ve worn♥️
Please don’t get hung up on the little things like scales that drive happiness, body confidence and hard work down the drain... when you have the power to change this!
Be positive, spread happiness like confetti and support one another
So bin the scales, because YOU’RE NOT LETTING A NUMBER JUSTIFY WHO YOU ARE❌

Notice to all Clients👈
May I please remind everyone regarding my cancellation policy, that applies to all clients when having personal training sessions.
I require 12 hours notice for cancellations, because this gives me plenty of time to offer someone else a slot and to reschedule things if needed.
... Providing at least 12 hours notice is respectable to all clients, and also to keep things fair for everyone.
If you provide me 45 minutes notice before your session to cancel, unfortunately your session will be lost (if in a block booking), or this session will be charged. No exceptions. If you do not turn up to a session booked, again the same applies - the session will be lost or charged. This is due to the high volume of clientele I have, which makes it fair for everyone for me to free up any additional spaces for those I’ve had to turn down.
I hope you all understand this policy, of course certain circumstances will be accepted.
Thank you for all understanding

‘Max I need to lose weight’
‘Max I need to get fitter’
‘Max I need to food prep’
... I need, I need, I need. Why don’t you stop over complicating things, and start focusing on the real talk. Start doing, less wishing.
If you need to lose weight, break it down, plan out what you need to do to get to that goal. Start by moving more, and tracking your calorie intake and you’ll steadily be on the right track.
If you need to up your fitness, then start simple. Increase your daily step count by walking and moving more each day. Think ahead and devote time in your daily schedule to do this, and not think ‘I’ll just wait until Monday’.
If you need to food prep, then consider how you currently spend your time. Do you spend most of your time elsewhere/prioritising other pointless things that make you either unhappy or that lack self control? If you want to take control of your diet, start tracking. If you want to plan food aside for the next day, then do so by organising the time to plan ahead, but only if this ‘food prep’ goal is relevant to you.
Don’t over complicate things. Break your goal down, simplify and plan ahead. Simples💭🕐

Saturday SASS👏💛
SOOO proud of this amazing woman. Just look at her NOW!!!
Nikki always impresses me each week, with her awesome dedication to exercise, her fitness, strengths (hitting 50kg deadlifts, 30kg hip thrusts, overhead push presses and much more!), her desire to eat well nourished food, and her ambition to keep going💛
... There’s even been a few cheeky gin and tonics/treats along the way, but why? Because it’s all about balance!! 🥂
Creating a sustainable lifestyle is more than important to enjoy and celebrate what your body can achieve.
Nikki you deserve every spotlight going because you’ve worked so god dam hard, you’re an inspiration to others and you look, just incredible. I’m so Uber proud of you!❤️

Client Spotlight💛
My wondeful client Shelly came to me because she wanted to push herself further with her training, shape her body and to gradually reduce her bodyfat%. She wanted to feel comfortable in her own clothes and know that she was aiming towards a goal, rather than feeling stuck in a plateau.
Measurements around waist, hips and chest have all lowered, and her mid-section has become further defined.
... This is down to implementing resistance training at least 2 times a week, combined with additional cardiovascular sessions such as spinning/short HIT circuit work.
Shelly has developed a greater sense of awareness with her diet, keeping her protein levels up to a set target. With this, drinking enough water throughout the day and still enjoying the foods she likes!!
We’re not finished here, we’re still gonna keep pushing for further success, with a few adjustments of calories/training.
You can achieve the goal you want. Surround yourself in a positive and supportive environment, and you will succeed. Speak to coaches, arrange a plan of attack. Ask for advice if you’re ever unsure, as this is why we’re here to help! My goal is to help anyone who has a goal🙌

'Max, how can i increase my protein intake?'
Heres a little video for you to help increase your daily protein consumption (without meat sources), and you might just be suprised with how much you can pack your diet full of these in the simpliest of ways! 👇
If you're not a keen meat-eater, have no fear! There are still plenty of ways to increase your daily protein intake around any current meat/vegetarian meals. These additional sources of protein will thoroughly complement you...r meals and snacks, whilst helping to keep you fuller for longer. Its important to consume a variety of different protein sources to achieve excellent health benefits, and for those vitamins and minerals! Also, to prevent getting bored with consuming the same foods all the time.
Protein benefits - Promotes muscle recovery - Helps with repair/growth of the muscles - Helps to keep you fuller for longer (especially if you're in a fat loss phase) - Protein is ultlised for hormones and enzymes, essential for bodily functions
The list goes on!
Enjoy protein lovers!🥚🍳

The beauty of walking
Day to day movement is so important to keep us mobile, feeling supple and to function.
So why does this get pushed aside?
... ‘Oh but Max I gym it 5 x times a week but I’m not seeing results’
But are you MOVING ENOUGH?
Basic thermodynamics such as walking are just as influential as gym sessions. Light walking increases blood flow, increases energy output/expenditure and is simply free to do outside!
Consider if you go to the gym to sit down on a bike, your daily movement is going to be limited if you’re not moving around enough in the day or if you’re sitting down all day at work
Increase your NEAT (non-exercise activity thermogenesis)
Walking Daily performance Tasks Cleaning
The list goes on..
Plus you’ll get to see the beauty of the outdoorsy environment💐🍂🍁🍃🌺🌞
Get moving, get functioning...

‘You’re a personal trainer, do you have a six pack?’
Erm, no!! Does this mean I shouldn’t be a personal trainer if I haven’t got one?
This question I once got asked on a social do, and straight away felt instant judgement on how personal trainers ‘should’ look or be viewed in a certain way....
... We can be whoever the hell we want to be!😜 I don’t have a six pack. I don’t want an extremely lowest of the low bodyfat%. I like feeling strong, training and lifting weights and challenging my body. I want to show my curves, and maintain an aesthetic figure for my sport, but feel good at the same time, even when eating cake!!🍰
It’s OK to be who you want to be, it’s OK to work hard, and it’s most certainly OK to be different.
Don’t think you have to LOOK a certain way, just because of the job role/stereotypical position you’re in. It doesn’t matter. What really matters is what makes you happy!💛
Happy Monday everyone✌️✨
