Thinking of you all at this challenging time and hoping your home schooling for those with children is going well. Plenty of arts and crafts and sewing incorporated too.
I had a busy few months planned with school holiday classes and academy sewing sessions but due to the current situation it’s important to abide by all the government is suggesting so all Classes will be postponed and rescheduled till a time that is safe to run the classes again. I hope you are keeping well a...nd managing to spend some quality time as families enjoying the slower pace and sunshine.
Until then I’m looking forward to Spending time sewing and exploring new patterns and projects for all of you. I have bought plenty of fabric for my children to spend some good time making hoodies and designing their own projects, things I haven’t done with them for a long time and my Cricut machine has already been in use by my 10 year old .. anything he can find seems to get printed.
Please do get in touch if you have any problems with your machines and need any guidance on how to set them up, re thread or wind your bobbins. I’d love to see projects the children have been making during this time so please do post them. I will be running some free classes online where I run through with the children how to make a peg bag (now the sun is out), pencil cases and simple tote bags that can be embellished. Hopefully this may give you an hour to get on with some work. I’ll try my best to entertain them ... this will be coming soon!!! Let me know if there is anything the children ( or yourselves would like to learn how to make.

Friday (tomorrow) 12-2 Sewing class for those students already finished and those parents struggling to work while students are at home. Come along and make a project for yourself or to cheer up someone you love. Only 6 students per class so small numbers. £10.
I also have spaces left Tuesday for the longer session of 9-3 at a reduced rate for those who are still working and struggling to find child care. All materials provided. £30.

Sewing class this Friday 20th March for all those students that are off and need some stimulation (or need to give their parents chance to work) 12-2. I’ll have plenty of projects to choose from, all materials and machines provided. Maybe something to send in the post for nanny or grandma. It will be at a reduced rate of £12 for the session. Only spaces for 5 students.
I’ll also be offering classes 10-12 or 9-3 Monday and Tuesday next week.

I had a fabulous time with these mothers and their children making projects. Why not treat your mother (or treat yourself) to some quality time with the younger generation for Mother’s Day .. I have spaces 12.30-2.30 on the 21st March £30 for the pair or £40 for the three of you.

Summer pjs... fun day during the last holidays with these girls making matching pjs for their slumber party they were having the week later. There are still spaces on the 7th, 8th and 9th April 10-3.

Mother’s Day sewing session for all ages. Why not book a few generations to come along and sew together!
£15 each. Home made cake, refreshments and all materials included.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks and a brilliant half term which saw plenty of keen sewers making some exciting projects such as hoodies and leotards and then using the Cricut maker to print onto their designs.

School holidays.... I have had a family cancel on the 18th Feb 10-3 so I have 2 spaces available to come along and make a bag or cushion using a wide range of techniques.. upcycled denim, or funky fabrics, embellished it, print on it, add pockets, zip.... £35 for the day. All materials included.

Brilliant day out listening to these women sharing their stories of how to juggle running a business and family. Incredible food too. Definitely going back to Medicine again.

For all those schools that finish early here is a fantastic holiday sewing club 10-3pm for boys and girls aged 6-18. £35 for the day. Learn to sew, design and create some exciting projects... pencil cases, bags, nerf gun bullet holders, ear muffs, personalised hoodies, skirts, design your own T-shirt. We also do baking at lunch time.
The students will be learning to use the Cricut machine to design and print vinyl transfers for their newly made items. Holidays March 30, 31st, April 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Then again the July holidays, July 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th. Book now to secure your place.

Had a fabulous day today with three Clever girls making a hoodie, dress and top. We were then joined by a lovely grandma and her granddaughter who made aprons. I have two spaces next Saturday 10-12 making funky room tidys with pockets using recycled fabric. It will give the children a chance to deconstruct garnets and understand how they are put together

Book 3 children’s classes before the end of January and the cost is only £35 in total for all three. I can send you vouchers to book at your leisure or feel free to book in specific dates. They can be any Saturday session. Only 4 days left before this deal finishes.
