We had a fantastic meal last night at Miller and Carter. Our waitress, Andrea, was very friendly, efficient and attentive.... service was fantastic, the food was lovely, and the place itself was very welcoming. We hadn’t booked a table and we were seated within minutes of arrival. Food was fresh and tasty. Having been to our 2 local Miller and Carters and been disappointed we took a chance on trying this one - and we’re glad we did. Would highly recommend a visit!

Visted on Saturday night for my mothers birthday after booking a table that that night. Arrived 15 mins late due to the weather and was worried we missed our table but we were shown straight to our table. Our server Gabbie was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Our table was a little dark so i asked him to move to another and he moved us instantly without fuss. All the food was perfect and resonable price considering the quality of the steak, the onion loaf, lettuce chunk and fries. The cocktails were also beautiful and well priced. Highly reccomend for any special occasion.

The service was excellent and the food was amazing!!! It was my first ever visit. Naturally I had steak which was so soft and the beef dripping sauce was to die for. Dessert was warm chocolate brownie with ice cream, which was out of this world. Yeah maybe I shouldn't have ate all that but I just couldn't help it!!!!!!

The T-bone steak was amazing! Starter and dessert were just as good. Cocktails are lovely - quite strong too my boyfriend and I were pretty drunk after just 2 � staff were so friendly and lovely. We’ll definitely be back

Myself and my Fiance came in on Friday to celebrate our 4th Anniversary and we had such a fantastic meal, our best ever Miller and Carter experience!

We had the Butchers Block to share and it was absolutely unreal. Weve never had a fillet before and it was amazing. Massive credit to the chefs! Ive been talking about it to my family and friends ever since. I have also left a Trip Advisor review as we were so impressed with the food and the service. Thanks to Lauren our Waitress and Alex and Michael (I think) at the Bar as well, they were all brilliant :)

Came here yesterday for dinner with my partner (now fiencĂŠ) for her 21st birthday, and iv just got to say I have never experienced such amazing service, our server Sara truly went above and beyond for us, and the food was spectacular everything down to presentation and seasoning on the steak was perfect, and when I proposed to my partner, even brought us two glasses of procecco for free to celebrate, I will defently eat here again and as a chef myself this has got be thee best restaurant experience iv ever had. So a huge thank you to Sara and the Team for an excellent experience, you should all be so proud of yourselves!

After ordering our food it arrived quickly and the taster menu starter was superb. The Mac n cheese especially tasty.

Following this up with 2 ribeye steaks and sides which again were fantastic (my only personal issue was I should of had the 8oz and not the 12oz option). If there was anything to pick up on the fries were a touch dry, crispy but maybe slightly over cooked.

Our waitress Lauren was friendly, professional and very efficent.

It was a busy afternoon however we were given 1st class service and all the staff even though busy were polite and had a smile.

Will visit again.

We booked our table for NYE a few weeks ago, paid our deposit and arrived around 15 minutes prior to our booking, we eventually got seated half an hour after our time slot, the food was delicious and our waiter was very good, the only thing I would say was wrong was it was very cold in the restaurant, my friend had to eat her meal with her coat on as she was sat next to the window, we did ask the waiter if they could turn the heating up but he never came back to say whether they could or not, overall we had a very enjoyable evening and we won’t let it out us off, although it would have been nice if they could have told us that there was a delay with the table.

My wife and I attended the mail box Miller and Carter in Birmingham. Pleasant surroundings good table location. Staff pleasant, slight down side two of the staff appeared to be arguing in full view of the customers.

However, food excellent and service good will certainly go again.

My partner and I arrived for lunch without a reservation and were seated straight away. I asked to move tables as we were seated too close to a loud speaker that was playing jazz/vocal music. Why do restaurants insist on playing music when all people really want to do is sit and talk. Background easy listening music is okay but the selection was annoying and too intrusive. That said the food was lovely, served by pleasant staff and as described, if not a bit expensive. £90 for two starters, two 8oz steaks with fried and salad and a bottle of overpriced wine. We can’t complain about the quality of the food or wine, but the general experience wasn’t a good one. Maybe the prices as hiked up for the location, I may give my local M&C a try later in the year.

The food was good but why were the lettuce wedges brought out 15 mins before the steaks?? We sat there munching on lettuce because we were so hungry! There was no apologies for timing/delays. We then waited 1/2 to pay the bill. No one was attending to us so we decided to get up and put our coats on, guess what, a waitress appeared with a card machine. Doubt we will bother to visit again or recommend.

I didn't complain because I was treating my relative to a birthday meal and the waitress was very heavily pregnant. So yesterday my son took me there for my birthday. Apprehensive to say the least but stuck with safe bet of ribs which was very nice and tasty. Gone a little way to amending first visit

After arriving on a busy Sunday afternoon on the 18th feb, the male member of staff seating us said it was a 45 minute wait which was fine considering how busy it was but afterwards he took one look at me and said “we don’t allow tracksuits” even though they were clearly black jeans, we had our meal which was excellent and shortly after starting dessert a couple was seated on the table next to us by the same member of male staff, but the man sat next to us was wearing a tracksuit? Surely it’s the same rules for every customer?

I come to this miller carter quite often with family, and always recommend it to family and familys, however me and my partner bòoked a table for 6oclock, bar staff didnt smile, waitress didnt smile and our starter was cold in the middle, everything was rushed

So 2nd time in Miller and Carter Mailbox and yet again it was terrible. After writing a complaint about 2 weeks ago and still nothing I will put it on here as no one seems to care. Waited an hour for a table which was fine as expected on a Saturday, finally got our table and our order was taken. Myself having the ribeye steak and my partner having the filet steak. Both ordered sides, grilled lobster and ribs. The staff didn’t seem like they cared about a table of twos experience instead they was too busy running around for the bigger party’s that were there at the time. The food come out, my ribeye was really nice unfortunately the same can’t be said for the lobster or the ribs. Lobster was cold therefore I left it and the ribs were hard and luke warm. My partners fillet wasn’t great as it was quite fatty . After spending £60.62 on two meals with sides and two rounds of drink at the bar at roughly £11 each time (which we brought separately at the bar while waiting for a table) it was a very big disappointment. The time before this we didn’t have good experience either but thought we would give it ago again. Certainly will not be coming back to waste our money.

For a very quiet Monday, we experienced slow service (plenty of staff on, but 2 staff sat at the table. One got a drink from the bar & said someone will be with me in a moment. 5 minutes later, the other staff member came to the bar & took my order).

Had lunchtime special. My toasted bread was burnt & the chef tried to hide it on the inside of the sandwich. Waiter didn’t check up on us or clear the table. He even brought 2 more meals in error when he could clearly see our empty plates in front of us. Miller & Carter brand is an overpriced M&B chain pub. Don’t be fooled by the marketing facade.

Fish and chips undercooked, sent back and the same thing returned. Steak ordered medium-rare, the steak that arrived was medium-well. We asked for it to be done again and the steak that arrived was very well done. We didn't have time to wait for it to be done a third time. Kyle our waiter was very apologetic, but the manager on duty obviously couldn't have cared less. After coming to expect excellent food and service from your Sutton Coldfield branch, we won't be returning. This was meant to be a special meal for my partner's birthday and it was absolutely ruined.

He even brought 2 more meals in error when he could clearly see our empty plates in front of us. Miller & Carter brand is an overpriced M&B chain pub. Don’t be fooled by the marketing facade.

Fish and chips undercooked, sent back and the same thing returned. Steak ordered medium-rare, the steak that arrived was medium-well. We asked for it to be done again and the steak that arrived was very well done. We didn't have time to wait for it to be done a third time. Kyle our waiter was very apologetic, but the manager on duty obviously couldn't have cared less. After coming to expect excellent food and service from your Sutton Coldfield branch, we won't be returning. This was meant to be a special meal for my partner's birthday and it was absolutely ruined.

We had a fantastic meal last night at Miller and Carter. Our waitress, Andrea, was very friendly, efficient and attentive.... service was fantastic, the food was lovely, and the place itself was very welcoming. We hadn’t booked a table and we were seated within minutes of arrival. Food was fresh and tasty. Having been to our 2 local Miller and Carters and been disappointed we took a chance on trying this one - and we’re glad we did. Would highly recommend a visit!

Visted on Saturday night for my mothers birthday after booking a table that that night. Arrived 15 mins late due to the weather and was worried we missed our table but we were shown straight to our table. Our server Gabbie was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Our table was a little dark so i asked him to move to another and he moved us instantly without fuss. All the food was perfect and resonable price considering the quality of the steak, the onion loaf, lettuce chunk and fries. The cocktails were also beautiful and well priced. Highly reccomend for any special occasion.

The service was excellent and the food was amazing!!! It was my first ever visit. Naturally I had steak which was so soft and the beef dripping sauce was to die for. Dessert was warm chocolate brownie with ice cream, which was out of this world. Yeah maybe I shouldn't have ate all that but I just couldn't help it!!!!!!

The T-bone steak was amazing! Starter and dessert were just as good. Cocktails are lovely - quite strong too my boyfriend and I were pretty drunk after just 2 � staff were so friendly and lovely. We’ll definitely be back

Myself and my Fiance came in on Friday to celebrate our 4th Anniversary and we had such a fantastic meal, our best ever Miller and Carter experience!

We had the Butchers Block to share and it was absolutely unreal. Weve never had a fillet before and it was amazing. Massive credit to the chefs! Ive been talking about it to my family and friends ever since. I have also left a Trip Advisor review as we were so impressed with the food and the service. Thanks to Lauren our Waitress and Alex and Michael (I think) at the Bar as well, they were all brilliant :)

Came here yesterday for dinner with my partner (now fiencĂŠ) for her 21st birthday, and iv just got to say I have never experienced such amazing service, our server Sara truly went above and beyond for us, and the food was spectacular everything down to presentation and seasoning on the steak was perfect, and when I proposed to my partner, even brought us two glasses of procecco for free to celebrate, I will defently eat here again and as a chef myself this has got be thee best restaurant experience iv ever had. So a huge thank you to Sara and the Team for an excellent experience, you should all be so proud of yourselves!

When we arrived we were seated promptly after we ordered drinks, we were given ample time to ponder the menu. We can highly recommend the gintonica and the longhorn ale.

After ordering our food it arrived quickly and the taster menu starter was superb. The Mac n cheese especially tasty.

Following this up with 2 ribeye steaks and sides which again were fantastic (my only personal issue was I should of had the 8oz and not the 12oz option). If there was anything to pick up on the fries were a touch dry, crispy but maybe slightly over cooked.

Our waitress Lauren was friendly, professional and very efficent.

It was a busy afternoon however we were given 1st class service and all the staff even though busy were polite and had a smile.

Will visit again.

We booked our table for NYE a few weeks ago, paid our deposit and arrived around 15 minutes prior to our booking, we eventually got seated half an hour after our time slot, the food was delicious and our waiter was very good, the only thing I would say was wrong was it was very cold in the restaurant, my friend had to eat her meal with her coat on as she was sat next to the window, we did ask the waiter if they could turn the heating up but he never came back to say whether they could or not, overall we had a very enjoyable evening and we won’t let it out us off, although it would have been nice if they could have told us that there was a delay with the table.

My wife and I attended the mail box Miller and Carter in Birmingham. Pleasant surroundings good table location. Staff pleasant, slight down side two of the staff appeared to be arguing in full view of the customers.

However, food excellent and service good will certainly go again.

My partner and I arrived for lunch without a reservation and were seated straight away. I asked to move tables as we were seated too close to a loud speaker that was playing jazz/vocal music. Why do restaurants insist on playing music when all people really want to do is sit and talk. Background easy listening music is okay but the selection was annoying and too intrusive. That said the food was lovely, served by pleasant staff and as described, if not a bit expensive. £90 for two starters, two 8oz steaks with fried and salad and a bottle of overpriced wine. We can’t complain about the quality of the food or wine, but the general experience wasn’t a good one. Maybe the prices as hiked up for the location, I may give my local M&C a try later in the year.

Visited yesterday for my sisters special birthday. We were seated straight away but had to wait 20 mins for our drinks order to be taken. After that everything seemed to be delayed. The whole 3 course meal took 3 hours to be served, an hour between courses is ridiculous . Other parties came in after us, were served, ate and left before us. Even another family party of similar numbers who arrived an hour after us were on a par with us course-wise in no time. The food was good but why were the lettuce wedges brought out 15 mins before the steaks?? We sat there munching on lettuce because we were so hungry! There was no apologies for timing/delays. We then waited 1/2 to pay the bill. No one was attending to us so we decided to get up and put our coats on, guess what, a waitress appeared with a card machine. Doubt we will bother to visit again or recommend.

After my first time there over a year ago I vowed I wasn't going there again. Mainly because I asked for a medium to well done steak and it was rare if not blue. I didn't complain because I was treating my relative to a birthday meal and the waitress was very heavily pregnant. So yesterday my son took me there for my birthday. Apprehensive to say the least but stuck with safe bet of ribs which was very nice and tasty. Gone a little way to amending first visit

After arriving on a busy Sunday afternoon on the 18th feb, the male member of staff seating us said it was a 45 minute wait which was fine considering how busy it was but afterwards he took one look at me and said “we don’t allow tracksuits” even though they were clearly black jeans, we had our meal which was excellent and shortly after starting dessert a couple was seated on the table next to us by the same member of male staff, but the man sat next to us was wearing a tracksuit? Surely it’s the same rules for every customer?

I come to this miller carter quite often with family, and always recommend it to family and familys, however me and my partner bòoked a table for 6oclock, bar staff didnt smile, waitress didnt smile and our starter was cold in the middle, everything was rushed

So 2nd time in Miller and Carter Mailbox and yet again it was terrible. After writing a complaint about 2 weeks ago and still nothing I will put it on here as no one seems to care. Waited an hour for a table which was fine as expected on a Saturday, finally got our table and our order was taken. Myself having the ribeye steak and my partner having the filet steak. Both ordered sides, grilled lobster and ribs. The staff didn’t seem like they cared about a table of twos experience instead they was too busy running around for the bigger party’s that were there at the time. The food come out, my ribeye was really nice unfortunately the same can’t be said for the lobster or the ribs. Lobster was cold therefore I left it and the ribs were hard and luke warm. My partners fillet wasn’t great as it was quite fatty . After spending £60.62 on two meals with sides and two rounds of drink at the bar at roughly £11 each time (which we brought separately at the bar while waiting for a table) it was a very big disappointment. The time before this we didn’t have good experience either but thought we would give it ago again. Certainly will not be coming back to waste our money.
