Yet another example of “I can save money” I don’t need a professional this remapping malarkey is simple, anyone can do it!
WRONG!
Why would professional tuners spend so much on genuine tools, software and training if it was simple anyone could do it?
... How much do you think this guy has spent now?
He bought a clone tool usually available for £70-£80 then he paid some “unknown” file provider probably £30-£40 for a file.
Wonder what the cost of a new ECU including fitting programming etc will cost him?
Anyone have a guess?

Professionals have to charge more than amateurs because they don’t cut corners or used cloned tools off of eBay.
... They have often invested more than £20,000 in professional tools and software, not to mention many years of experience.
Note: this is copied from a professional tuners group as posted by one of the members, trying to help a bargain hunter, but we see this sort of thing all too often ourselves.
Customer comes to us gets a price then greed takes over because they think they can save £20, £30, £50, £100 because some numpty amateur is offering remaps cheaper.
Would you let someone claiming to be a surgeon operate on you with some toenail clippers?

But some people do the exact same thing when it comes to remapping because they think all remaps are the same

What can I say here , took my 4x4 in as it was a tad slow and not happy with the power. Well now boom it's like driving my M3 lol power is wicked. You notice the min you turn the key car runs better smooth and faster. Can't wait to get new car and remap again.i will do this again well recommended.

Well a week after having my VW Golf Mk6 2.0tdi GT mapped I thought I would leave some feedback.

I was having problems with my EGR valve and putting lights on the dash pretty much everytime I went out in my car. Very annoying was an understatement.

I was told about MPG TUNING and went on the website and seen they offered help with EGR problems and spoke to them about my problems and they explained how they can help and what would be involved.

So they have done a Egr delete and remapped my car.

It now pulls like a train, throttle response is lots better. Mpg has gone up and no more lights on my dash telling me I have problems. I'm one happy man and my car is such a joy to drive now and puts a huge smile on my face with you feel that extra power.

Took my tired VW Golf 2.0TDi mk6 to Mike hoping he could give the lacklustre engine a bit of life. Boy was I in for a pleasant suprise! Mike listened to what I was looking for, booked my car in and got on with it. Each stage of the process Mike gave me information and was not shy with the kettle either. Once completed we went for a test drive and i could immediately feel the difference. More power and a more continuous surge of power rather than the steady drag that started to wane around 3-4000rpm, not anymore! Car pulls away pretty sprightly but then as the turbo joins in the car feels like its going to take off. Mike custom wrote the remap for my car to deliver precisely (and well within the engines safe tolerances) what I required, and as a result i now have a Golf TDi that i enjoy driving. Most impressive difference is mid range to high range rpm accelleration, like from 25 to 70mph,its just so quick now. Fuel economy so far has remained around 55-60mpg but bear in mind I am being 'generous' with the throttle and certainly getting into all available horses so i envisage when my driving style returns to my normal plodding the mpg figure will go upto mid 60's.

All in all Mikes a really nice guy,knowledgable and very experienced at what he does, highly recommended.

Today we took the wife's little 1.2 normally aspirated corsa to see what could be done as it seemed a little flat on the uptake..( it was never going to be a boy racer anyway lol �)

The difference was brilliant... a lot smother on the uptake with a little pep to get it off to a good start ...

We've filled the tank and hopefully see a little difference in the mileage too ..,

Popped in to see Mike on Friday to have my A4 2.0TDi 170 bhp remapped. Have to say I was a little optimistic at first having being told by another firm that remaps on these were a nightmare so was expecting the worst! Thankfully, nothing of the sort, straight in, one error message unknown but Mike worked it out and all done in no time. Straight out for a test run and the drive is very different, certainly mid ranged (where these engines seem to suffer) pulls away nicely and can definitely feel the benefit. Best £200 ive spent on a car in, well, forever! Thanks again Mike

I went for a remap on my t5 as it had a awful flat spot around 2800 rev's I got great personal service and its like having a new engine in the van smooth power and greater economy.... Highly recommended wish I'd done it months ago it would have paid for it self already thanks a lot hill's are no longer a drag

I took my BMW e92 320d in for a custom remap and was very impressed with the service I received. I was talked through exactly what was going on during the map and after the map was complete I could tell the difference as soon as I pulled away from the unit! Throttle response was much sharper and the power delivery was much smoother with no flat spots. After a week of driving the remap had bedded in and I was starting to reap the benefits in increased mpg paired with the increased power. Car felt like a completely different animal! Over 200bhp, tones of torque and currently averaging 47mpg! Very highly recommended tuners! Happy customer 5*

I have just had my 2nd car remapped now by MPG, it has made such a massive difference to the way it drives, constant power throughout. Had my vw jetta tdi 140 re mapped back in february so 10 months ago now and still going strong!Mikes a sound guy,listens to what you require ,does the business and away you go!vast improvement on mid range and top end plus generally a smoother drive.. mpg is around 48 however you drive..

Would defo' use his services again!

Had my passat cc re-mapped this Morning, took just over an hour and the difference in the car is fantastic. The service was great and efficient. I would recommend to anyone and would definitely use them again :)

Had my focus 1.0 ecoboost mapped by Mike and wow what a difference in the power straight away! Slight improvement in the MPG on the way which is always a good sign. Great service by a guy that clearly knows his stuff, explained everything he was doing and the reasons why. Would highly recommend Mike.

Had my Renault Clio RS 200 2.0 remapped. What a brilliant experience, brilliant guy and brilliant results! I would 100% recommend this company for you. I had low down deffiency in power due to the natural aspiration type engine my car has, afterwards it was straight on the power. he gave me a custom map to suit me with more power mid-hi level revs aswell as low down and I can really feel the difference through the gears. Fantastic experience overall, extremely pleased!!!!

Had my Audi A3 mapped by mike last week and the power and mpg gains are Insane! This is the 7th car Mike has tuned for me over the last 10 years for me so that speaks for itself �. Had 1 other car remapped by a different tuner and the results were poor compared to mpg. See you when I get my next car lol!

Had my 320d remapped by Mike yesterday. Very impressed with the results. Noticed it straight away after having it done. Service was also great, talked me through all of it to get exactly what I wanted out of it. Highly recommend mpg tuning.

First just to say a big thank you. Started the afternoon with a warm welcome and a nice cup of coffe. Had a really good chat and then a really good map put on to my ecu. (Mg zr 1.4) used to hit a rev limiter at about 6500rpm. Now nerly 8000rpm. And pulls like a train. Once again thank you.

Felt the difference straight away when I took my xtype to Mike it has given my cat more bite he showed me exactly what he was doing and explained evey thing hi did and why he did it took about 90 mins and on the test drive I could feel more pulling power where I had asked for it through the gears ....great job thanks alot I will be recommending you to anyone who asks and please feel free to ask ☺☺☺☺

Mike is a PRO, knows what he is talking about, hides nothing, tells you everything which is very re assuring when you are buying fresh air as what he does is invisible. We had a long chat as i had had i very unhappy experience with re mapping before ("redbits" say no more). He put me full at ease with his knowledge and experience, so we arranged a convenient date, he spent some time planning and getting the job just right for my requirements. Well its been a week now and WOW what a difference MPG has gone from 40ish fo middle 50s performance is a great improvement " goes like a bullet train", It even starts better than before (not sure why that is). He even offers to alter it later if you want something tweeking after using it for a bit (more power or more economy). Its a specific re map for your car and he keeps that safe so as it can be changed as and when required. Just for info my car is a SAAB 95 TID 150 and i am a very HAPPY BUNNY as my boring car is now FUN to drive, thanks Mike.
