So we are nearly at the end of and I’ll be honest the most challenging cold , wet windy half term we’ve ever had, this morning went ahead with a fab and hilarious bunch of children , my cancellation rate all winter has been minimal but I’ve certainly made up for it the last 2 weeks, I always worry about what the parents think when I cancel but it’s always a lot windier here as we are so open out the back and I’m glad I’ve made the judgements that I have. This winter has bee...n horrendous and to be quite honest like all other horse owners right now we haven’t had a lie in or morning off since October now and we are all fed up but just when you wonder is it all worth it a lovely mum arrives with these beautiful flowers and a lovely note , you will never know how much I appreciate these , really really kind thankyou 💕 So I’ve had to cancel the afternoon bookings as it’s like a whirlwind going through the back so everything has been cleaned with no mud in sight for at least 24 hours anyway!! I’ve rang Ross and told him I’m officially on strike for the rest of the day so do not dare ask me what’s for tea as it will be divorce!!!!!! Have a lovely weekend everyone and I’m praying the weather holds off for my last few sessions tomorrow xx

Had a little help today 💦🙈🤪

Hi everyone so this weather is pretty rubbish at the moment, I was only saying to Ross last week I’ve hardly had to cancel any sessions this winter and look at it now!!! So frustrating! Tomorrow afternoon and Thursday is looking a little dodgy at the moment so I will update this page but think I’ve spoken to most parents today, I can not wait until spring the horses/ ponies here don’t even want to go out at the moment which I can hardly blame them 🌧🌧💨💨

So sorry but I’ve decided to cancel the pony club tomorrow, there are a few children booked in who are not local and I don’t think it’s fair to expect parents to travel with the forecast of high winds , this weather is a absolute pain in the bum at the moment so sorry to let the children down I will reschedule xx

Evening with storm Dennis due Saturday please can all pony club mums keep a eye out for a post from me, I’m praying the wind will just delay a couple of hours so we can go ahead , it will be so disappointing to cancel but it will not be much fun for the children and although I know the ponies will behave I just don’t want them getting soaked wet through and cold 🥶🐴🙏

Thankyou for the messages, we are all ok ponies all safe, mucking out was interesting , 2 ponies are currently out in the field as there’s is a oak tree above there stables so there over the road looking very chilled at the moment , there’s no power lines or trees in the field so there probably safest out of the bunch , just want this to hurry up and go wind is horrendous here now , as you all know it’s windy out the back the best of times stay safe everyone 💨💨

Such a mad busy weekend, we haven’t had any pics from the party yet but it went really well, we roped the show ponies in today and we had a busy pony club yesterday so Teddy, jack and star had a rest , we finished off the weekend with a showing clinic with Chester and Justin it was really good to get them out so show season 2020 is nearly upon us xx

Fantastic pony club today although we do feel like we’ve been in a tumble dryer for 10 hours!! Here’s jack looking very cheeky 🤪 xx
