If I could give them no stars I would! Horrific customer service , stating obvious faults are within tolerance level (who’s tolerance level? Not mine)when they are quite obviously unacceptable.

Don’t know their own return policy , real cowboy outfit with faulty bad quality goods!

Avoid at all costs

Ex display delivered instead of brand new

My supposed brand new suite arrived 6th December 2017 at approx. 3 pm. I just arrived home as the delivery men were taking it off the van. I was very shocked to see there was no packaging, it was dusty, had leaves down the back , marks which looked like grease and no fire label. I asked the driver how come it was like this and he said " it is an Ex display", I immediately expressed how unhappy I was about this. He proceeded to bring the two seater in again unwrapped, but you could clearly see that this was new and the packaging removed, in an attempt that I would think they were same. The stitching on the three seater is soiled in colour and the leather on 2 seater it softer and also almost looks darker. There are marks are the three seater and you can clearly see it is different to the other. The delivery men advised me to keep it for now , otherwise I would have nothing to sit on and immediately speak with the store. They also agreed this was ex display and were very apologetic and even took photos themselves.

I immediately went to the store in perry barr and spoke with Robert , he told me to speak with Shelley, who went off to make a call, then immediately came back and told me to ring head office. I then spoke with head office who told me to speak with store. In my eyes this was attempt to try and fob me off. As I hadn't left , I understand she then spoke with Chris, who consequently offered me £100. I was also questioning the warranty I had purchased for a new suite and told this would be void as one of the sofas was not new, but then said it would stand, even though this was normal practice. Shelley offered me a refund, but that is not what I want as I would have nothing to sit on or the option of another two seater, which is ludicrous! Why would I want another two seater when I bought a three and two?

I since have spoken with consumer rights, as you cant contact trading standards direct anymore, there is a process and it is those who decide to whether or not to pass my case on to trading standards and issue a case number They have agreed to do that, case number 14569502, as under the consumer credit act, they have not acting accordingly and sold me something that I never agreed on. This also comes under trade mis descriptions act and misrepresentation. They have however give me the option to exercise the short time right to reject, but that is not what I want as that would leave me without a sofa at all. I spent three hours at the showroom in perry barr and as I am self employed and work alone, I had to make up the time to finish decorating cakes until 10pm that night ,that needed to be ready the following day. This I was informed is a consequential loss and damages, should be given accordingly. Furthermore I have asked to see a copy of their complaints procedure and asked whether you are member of the ADR scheme to which they have not supplied

They have offered me a £100, this is an insult,

The following day I was asked to put everything in writing which I did immediately and Chris would reply back to me the next day. I waited until 3 pm Friday afternoon and still nothing, so I called head office and happen to speak to dean the head of customer care, who promised me he would sort it and also get chris to contact me. He also asked me to email photos of all the marks on the suite which I have done

Monday afternoon as I had not heard I called and spoke with dean again and the elusive Chris still hasn’t bothered to even call me .He said the offer stands and nothing else . £100 and a warranty that I have actually paid £175 for, even though I was told categorically that a warranty could not be purchased on an ex display suite .

Disgraceful. I have not finished yet and have not accepted anything from them. They think they can do what they like when it suits but feel I have no choice now but to keep the ex display suite as it’s now only two weeks before Christmas and where am I going to get a suite from quickly without making a rash purchase ?

They have all said that they agree with me that the suite is ex display and I should have had received a brand new one , but as they feel I had a good deal because it was bought in the sale they will not do anymore , I never bought it as an ex display and they seem to be missing the point . Irrelevant to whether I bought in the sale or not no where on my paperwork does it state I bought an ex display . Disgraceful ! They have wasted my time and fobbed me off . I will be taking this further . I have asked for a refund on my warranty and £100 previously offered plus a free warranty as a gesture of goodwill but they will not move and ha e said refund or £100 discount , which I do not feel Is just and is aliitle amount from a company as large as ncf. Reading all the bad reviews now , I wish I would have gone elsewhere . They are cowboys and think they can walk all over you . Absolute disgrace

Damaged our brand new wood floor when delivering our sofa nearly a year ago and the matter is still not resolved.

Phone calls and emails to customer service go unanswered and when I have spoken to a member of staff they had no sense of urgency and advise they have left a message for the manager to respond and that’s all they can do. Highly frustrated!!!!!!!

Complained about a missing hand rest from my sofa over three months ago having spent nearly £10,000. Have chased on numerous occasions and spoken to someone called Alice in their customer service team (on about 7 occasions). I have received no reply and the correct hand rest is still missing. Will be complaining to the financial ombudsmen and bringing legal proceedings in due course. Such a shame. After care is extremely poor.

Absolutely useless, would never buy anything from NCF ever again. A sofa that’s has apparently a 12 month warrantee for normal use issues doesn’t actually cover sitting on it.!! Useless customer service that I think don’t have a clue and quote the same thing over and over again in email responses. What ever you do don’t use NCF you have been warned.

Sofa seats sagging after not even 11 months use. I have been in contact with citizens advice and will be opening a case with trading standards.
