I buy my meat from the shop at the Garden Centre Chepstow.

I love that the meat is farmed and not from a factory. I've bought pork, lamb, chicken and beef - all fab quality.

People assume that supermarkets are cheaper ... not so! I pay only pence more but have super tasty meat that has an acceptable provenance! Thank you.

Have had steak, burgers, koftas, sausages, kebabs and minted lamb chops over the last few weeks and have been amazed at how lovely it has all been on the BBQ. Thoroughly recommended!

Great barbecue food delivered promptly, just disappointed that burgers were large and thin, not like 'shop' stock.

Not very impressed. Ordered a goose, some lamb, flat iron steaks and sausages for Christmas. They were scheduled for delivery on 22nd. I waited until 2pm before I called to check on the timing when I was told that my delivery had been 'forgotten' and that they would send it the following day at an unspecified time. After some discussion about my time being wasted etc, it was agreed that a special delivery would be made that afternoon. It arrived - brought by a charming gentleman as a favour to the shop - but was missing one of the 4 items. No matter, I thought, at least we have our Christmas dinner, the precious goose. I have cooked goose for the last 23 years, initially from Jesse Smith in Tetbury and for the last decade have enjoyed Goodman's Geese. I have never had to complain about anything. Far from it. I have actually written to thank them for fantastic produce. It was on recommendation that I went to Neil Powell. How I wish I had not. The £75 goose was so tough that we each had a slice and threw the rest away. Thank heavens for the sausages [which were excellent] without which we would have had a vegetarian Christmas dinner. I emailed the company on Boxing Day with a mild reproof asking for an explanation and hoping for an apology or at least a response. I followed up with another 2 emails and three phone calls to - eventually - receive a reply saying, effectively, that I was making this up since there was nothing to 'substantiate' my complaint. As a gesture, we have been offered £40 for having our Christmas dinner ruined. This is supposed to be good customer service. Really? I think they have a lot to learn. I am appalled at the poor quality food and the shabby treatment.
