Working progress.... It’s been nice to spend some time on this puffin this arvo and it’s not far off finishing. However one of the fish is not behaving itself. Hehe! I’ve just gone back over it to redo the scales. That’s why I love acrylic so much. I can cover up any mistakes. I am learning it’s okay to make mistakes because that’s how I learn....and how we all learn. The art studio is starting to have a make over...more shelving and a bigger table. That will please the kiddies. It’s certainly pleased little man. I need to get another table top (the same one as little man is on) and smaller set of draws. Plus fill in some holes, sand and repaint parts.

I am so pleased to have my own art exhibition at Evesham Arts Centre running from 3rd March to 28th April 2019. I will be displaying some of my acrylic paintings inspired by nature and travel. I have the privilege to teach wonderful young artists at home and the exhibition will be displaying their work. The children are aged between 6-12. They all think they are going to be famous!! Let bring creativity and positive self esteem to these children!

This is fab! It’s took a few weeks to produce this on a tile but the 12 year old I teach was really chuffed with herself!! And so she should be! It’s a fantastic frog. Well done!!

We are so impressed with the two commissions we asked Nicki to do for us. We asked for one painting (Buster) as a xmas present and more recently I asked her to do another one for my husband’s birthday gift (Molly & Buster). I asked Nicki to paint a picture of my parents garden from a small photograph that I gave to her. Although the image was small, she managed to replicate this to perfection. I wanted to give this to my parents as a Christmas gift as they both loved their garden so much. When they opened it they were both so emotional as they could not believe how beautiful the painting was. I just want to thank Nicki, as she is truly talented and she gave me the perfect present for my parents. I asked Nicki to paint a picture as a 20th wedding anniversary gift for my husband. We have holidayed in the same place for years, a chalet called "Gwelmor" in Hayle, Cornwall, which has very beautiful views across St Ives Bay, and I wanted something that would evoke memories of all the happy times we had had as a couple, and as a family there.



I sent Nicki several photos, of varying quality, which captured different aspects of the views. We discussed what I liked about the photos, and she prepared various sketches based on these. I finally decided to order two paintings, one of the view from the chalet, and one of Godrevy Lighthouse.



When she delivered the paintings, I was really pleased. The colours, details and atmosphere of the painting were exactly as I had hoped, and the way the light on the water is painted is particularly lovely. When my husband opened them, he immediately recognised the views, and was really impressed when he learnt that Nicki had painted these so accurately and beautifully just from our photos.



I would like to thank Nicki for her hard work, patience and skill in creating our paintings, and capturing something so special for us.
