Nuneaton cells this morning ŌĆ”ŌĆ”ŌĆ”ŌĆ”ŌĆ”ŌĆ”ŌĆ”.. ŌĆó ŌĆó ŌĆó 1 x arrest for Theft/criminal damage and assault Police - The DP has stolen from MacDonalds Queens Road Nuneaton. During arrest the DP has spat on Police Special Constable. Dp has also smashed the rear passenger window in the police car.

ŌĆó 1 x arrest for Sect 5 Public Order - Concerns he had stolen items in his bag, Police have told male they were seizing property to make enquiries and male then exploded threatening to assault officer putting them in fear of violence, shouting out and calling staff abusive names refusing to calm down and was arrested.
ŌĆó 1 x arrest for Common Assault - The Victim has reported to Police that his adult grandson is at the address and has asked for money to buy drugs and when refused male has punched him four times to the face causing no injury.
ŌĆó 1 x arrest for Drink Driving - Adsa have alerted police to the female who was suspected by them to be in drink having driven to the supermarket. The officers have located the female. She has provided a positive reading for being over the limit.

Today on this glorious day in the cells with no windows are:
1 x Theft - Officers in town in plain clothes, observed suspect go into Boots with an empty bag and fill it with fake tan and then leave the store without offering payment. Suspect also wanted on warrant.
1 x Assault - Step-son has stated suspect has hit him to the face with the fridge door causing pain and has thrown an item down the stairs at him.
... 1 x Harassment - Offender currently on police bail conditions not to be at particular address. Offender believed to have been sleeping in the garage at the address and found at location by officers. Also reported been banging on the rear patio door whilst in drink causing his partner to feel alarmed and distressed.
2 x persons for theft of motor vehicle/dangerous driving and other other offences - Vehicle identified as a cloned plate on a BMW X1 car, vehicle failed to stop for police but collided with a garden wall and suspect arrested. Driver also provide positive sample to drugs swipe. Vehicle stolen from an address in Leicestershire.
1 x Theft from shop - Suspect has targeted Boots numerous times stealing perfume and other items.

NUNEATON COPS ARREST 2 PROLIFIC OFFENDERS IN TOWN CENTRE
A fantastic team effort by Police officers and PCSO's from Nuneaton SNT, ably assisted by Town Centre CCTV, sees 1 x prolific offender arrested and remanded in custody for multiple thefts from Boots and a burglary. This male offender committed in excess of ┬Ż8000 worth of thefts and over 20 offences, he is now locked up after an impressive footchase through the Town by our super speedy PCSO's culminating in the arrest.
A second prolific male offender was arrested and remanded in custody after committing multiple theft offences. 2 in 1 day - cracking result.

In the cells today
1 x Trafficking offence - Rugby offence - Report from a driver that he's been flashed with lights by another vehicle causing him to stop. He's then seen people get out of a lorry and get into a different flashing vehicle which then driven off. Vehicle stopped nearby by police, Person was driver of the car and in the vehicle - 4 adults and 2 young children believed to have entered the country illegally.
1 x Theft from employee - Suspect has been loading stoc...k onto his delivery van that isn't part of his delivery and it is believed that items missing from business after stock check
1 X Assault - Alleged to have pushed a male in to a canal causing a cut to his knee. He is also alleged to have used a saw to cause a number of cuts to a second male.

1 x Assault - DP is alleged to have pulled his wife's hair and pulled her to the ground and grabbed her by the arm causing reddening to skin.
1 x Robbery - DP has been linked to a robbery at at a supermarket. Male has made threats towards staff and member of the public with a knife. Suspect has been arrested and two machete's found by officers. Suspect was abusive and aggressive towards officers.

Nuneaton west Safer Neighbourhood Team have seized a nuisance bike from Maple Road, Nuneaton after the rider was spotted on Whittleford park and admitted to riding on the park. A Section 59 warning will also be issued for riding off-road.

Roofer who targeted elderly and vulnerable jailed
A roofer who targeted elderly and vulnerable people, charging thousands of pounds for work that often did not need carrying out, has been jailed after a successful prosecution.
... Patrick Christopher Dunne, 20, of Griff Park TravellersŌĆÖ Site, Nuneaton, Warwickshire, was sentenced to two years and nine months at York Crown Court today (Friday, 21 June) after pleading guilty to 34 counts of fraud and consumer protection offences. He also admitted laundering the proceeds of his offending.
Officers identified numerous victims in North Yorkshire and the West Midlands who had been visited by Dunne between February 2017 and May 2018.
The court was told he would offer to carry out inexpensive quick fixes and then inform the householders he had ŌĆ£discoveredŌĆØ further problems.
This additional work cost significantly more money, sometimes running into thousands of pounds.
He was prosecuted in relation to 17 victims, including a number of elderly and vulnerable people.
Dunne also received a Criminal Behaviour Order, banning him from cold calling for five years on his release from prison.
He will also be subject to a Proceeds of Crime Act confiscation case in an effort to remove assets obtained from crime and to compensate the victims

1 x arrest for Threats to kill/assault - Wife has alleged the partner has threatened to kill her and shoot her.. Upon police arrival victim had a bloody nose and stated that he had punched her and was further arrested.
1 x arrest for Assault - Male has bene seen on camera to head butt a female and then attack her on the floor.
... 1 x arrest for Assault police, criminal damage, drugs and other ŌĆō offender has gone into his own address and come back out with an iron bar and smashed a window. Male has then returned to his own address where officers have located him.
1 x arrest for Assault and robbery - offender has tried strangle his partner , pushed her to the floor and the dragged her by her ankles on the floor. the male was also wanted for two further offences of Robbery.
ŌĆó 1 x arrest for Malicious communications - Officers have attended a domestic report whereby malicious communications had taken place between partners.
1 x arrest for Burglary dwelling - Male in custody for a historical offence of burglary

Ticket tout jailed for theft
A man has been jailed after stealing thousands of pounds he had taken in return for providing entrance to sport and music events.
Alan Bott, 44, formerly of Hilton Avenue, Nuneaton, sold tickets and provided entry to events in the Midlands.
... For a time people were happy with the service he provided. However, in 2015, 21 people paid more than ┬Ż10,000 and did not receive their tickets.
In police interview he admitted stealing the money after facing financial difficulties. Bott denied committing fraud but admitted theft.
He also pleaded guilty to thefts and a burglary in Tyne and Wear.
Appearing at Coventry Crown Court on Thursday (13 June) he was sentenced to 21 months in prison.
Detective Constable Matthew Bird from Nuneaton CID said: "Bott systematically stole thousands of pounds from people who had handed over the money in good faith. We welcome the sentence and hope it sends out a warning to others who consider acting in the same manner."
