Positive funding news this week. The Walsall project is pushing ahead. 👊

We’re excited to announce an early Christmas present to the people of Walsall in the form of a new Regional Standard BMX track that will be coming to the Metropolitan Borough in 2019.
A partnership a year in the making with Walsall MBC has seen NXT Bike Parks secure a long term lease and planning consent to bring a dedicated BMX race track to Walsall for the first time in three decades.
Early in the New Year we will be able to share the finalised plans produced by our const...ruction partner JB Extreme Landscapes for the creation of a facility that will become an asset to riders across the Borough.
Unlike many new facilities this track will be open to the public without restriction allowing thousands of riders to try the sport of BMX completely free.
To aid in the development of the sport of BMX at a grass roots level, this new track will aided by the provision of both changing and toilet facilities which are often lacking in sites in public spaces and inhibit participation.
In keeping with the borough’s green spaces strategy the track will be developed to be accessible to both BMX and MTB bikes as well as Balance Bikes like the popular Strider brand that caters for pre pedal riders.

You had clearly worked hard to prepare the track for the regional on Sunday. The day went so smoothly and the atmosphere was amazing. A happy friendly place all round, can't wait to come back!

We visited with our scout group two weeks ago and my son who couldn't ride a bike at all was riding after the session. I enrolled him and my other son onto the May holiday club as my eldest couldn't ride either and by the end of the week they were both riding the tracks. The staff are absolutely brilliant and I can't wait to start bringing the boys regularly. I've also got four year old twins who are itching to get on the balance bikes. I can't recommend this place enough. My kids love it.

Thank you so much for this weekend! What an amazing job you did on the track! All your hardworking clearly paid off in the amazing atmosphere in Sunday's race! Can't wait to come back next weekend!

Probably the best track in UK for all levels and tastes.

My son has been at the February school holiday activity week, with one word to sum up - AMAZING!!!!!!, we have tried all sorts of holiday camps, unfortunately most falling short of the mark. My son is very active and enjoys outdoor activities as he has lots of energy. This camp really is aimed at what children would like to do, in a safe but relaxed environment. It is great value for money. I was really happy that for once he really enjoyed his school holiday. He wouldn't have been out playing that much if I were to have booked the week off. The park has recently been taken over by a lovely family couple and they are very child orientated. Please Guys, give it a try - I can promise your child will not be disappointed. There were girls and boys there of all ages, and I did not see any of them bored or misbehaving, they were just thoroughly entertained. Thank you so much to all the Staff at Birmingham Bike park, you are making wonderful memories that our children will share for years to come, and one things for sure - we'll be back as often as possible.

My daughters and I have been attending the facility for the last couple of years and have to say that it certainly is one of the best, if not THE best in the country! Mega quick Bensink gate, 5m start hill and a track that runs really smooth regardless of the weather conditions. Not only this, the staff are friendly and enthusiastic and with the facility now moving forward with further development, it can only get better still. 10 out of 10 (y)

Blessed to have this facility. It's accessible to everyone and anyone. The rates and equipment hire are affordable. For serious training it's technical and challenging. Makes for great racing! The events make a great day out with the family.

Birmingham is truly blessed with one of the best bike facilities in the world! The bike park can cater for toddlers through to Olympians, and even birthday parties, a passionately run family business for the community. ��️
