The Dinner Party course was one of the best courses I have ever had the pleasure to be on. I’ve been cooking for more years than I care to mention - but learnt loads; in fabulous surroundings; with a team who were knowledgeable, professional, patient and great fun. The people I met were good company and as a team we produced some amazing & delicious food... even if I say so myself! If you’re thinking about this for you - or for your kids - DO IT! Seize the moment. You won’t regret it!

The 5 day chalet course was full-on, lively and fun. As an older student, the course has given me lots of fresh ideas and many useful tips and skills. John is a great teacher and very helpul. Orchards Cookery is run by a friendly team and the accommodation is good. I'm looking forward to putting what I've learned into practice.

The 2 day Dinner Party course was great fun. It was very full on and because of that we managed to cook so many lovely dishes. The staff are so friendly and gang in the kitchen spent the whole time washing up for us which was wonderful!! I can't wait to put my new skills into practice. If you have just left school & are thinking of doing the Chalet Course - its a must do. You will love it. Thank you all x

Thanks for giving our Son an amazing week at Orchards. He had a completely fabulous week of incredible recipes to cook and so much socialising and fun and I can’t wait for him to cook us dinner sometime soon! What an incredible opportunity you give teaching such great cooking skills whilst having fun at the same time! I want to come!

My son thoroughly enjoyed it , and kept us updated with pics of what they were creating which looked amazing , just waiting for him to recreate for his parents !

My daughter had a first class time here and I couldn't recommend the school more highly. A wonderful environment to learn the art of cooking in preparation for University and life. I am so impressed with all the skills she has learn't and food preparation. Anna cooked non-stop and had a lot of laughs and fun along the way. This course covered her Gold D of E Residential.

My daughter came on the chalet cooks course in January and had an amazing time, she didn't want to leave. She could barely cook when she started but has cooked some fabulous food for us since she came home. She went on the course as she wanted to do a ski season and within 10 days of finishing she had been offered 2 jobs both because she had done the Cookery course. She has now been out in France for 10 days and is having a fabulous time so a big thank you to Orchards.

My daughter attended the 5 day chalet course last week and thoroughly enjoyed herself. She has been enthusing about ever since she came home!! The course, staff and the friendships she made sound absolutely amazing and first class hospitality. Thank you very much!

Just come back from a week's cookery course at the excellent Orchards Cookery. One of the best things I've EVER done and such fun to do it together with my 19 year old daughter! 5 day "Dinner Party" course with over 100 recipes cooked by a group of 8 of us - lots of laughter; expert tuition from a fabulous and fun chef, who gave us tips for preparing in advance, presenting food beautifully and cooking everything to perfection. Wouldn't have believed that 5 days could be so transformational! Went from learning basic chopping skills on the first morning to preparing 5 course meals I'd never have been brave enough to attempt before. Cooked Sunday lunch for 8 friends yesterday who were full of praise: "restaurant standard" and "best Sunday lunch ever"! The whole Orchards Team are awesome - couldn't recommend it more highly!

Jake had a fabulous time . Would highly recommend the off to University Course . He has come back with so many recipes and can't wait to start cooking them . Also covered his gold DofE expedition how good is that . He has already started teaching whole family how to chop vegetables properly .

I bought this for his birthday and i believe it was money well spent he has obviously learnt so much . Jake told me staff were friendly very helpful and patient . He also mentioned the owners explained reasonable rules at beginning of course which made him feel respect during his time there. Definitely 5/5 for us .

I loved my two week course at Orchards, every day was so much fun and the staff are all amazing. The course has been a huge help in preparing me for my ski season in terms of cooking and they are extremely helpful in giving advise for CV's. I would highly recommend

I had the most fantastic week at Orchards. I learnt how to cook unimaginable dishes and also met life long friends, thanks to Orchards we have all received offers to work together in Meribel this coming season! I honestly cannot recommend this course highly enough and you should seriously consider coming here!

Had such a great time at Orchards whilst learning loads about cooking - special thanks to Barney and Eliza for looking after our group!

Had a blast on the 5 day Chalet Course. I learnt so many new skills and dishes in the short time and can't wait to start applying to Ski Companies, using the interview training given on the course! All the staff were really lovely and John was a great teacher, I met some amazing people and friends that I will keep in contact with. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, no matter what their cooking ability:)

Brilliant, I organised for my son to attend the two week residential course and he absolutley had the best time cooking and also had fun with the other students. Thank you so much, worth every penny.
